When we first arrived I thought the cottage looked really small from the outside but it's like the tardis inside. Very large upstairs rooms and a comfortable downstairs bedroom and well equipped accessible bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped and we were greeted on our first day with the most yummy Devon tea. All in all a very homely and comfortRead moreable holiday retreat Hide

We had a lovely week here. The cottage is well equipped, the owners friendly and the location for us was great. It was very peaceful and the views across the lovely green fields of North Devon were fantastic. There are pubs, coffee houses, restaurants and supermarkets (all you need) within a few miles short miles and some great walking (cycling and running) opportunities to pass the days.

We have just returned from a wonderful weeks holiday. The cottage was amazing, well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. Vicki and John were great host, and along with their family made us feel very welcome. On our arrival there was a lovely cream tea and other complimentary items. Our granddaughters loved it and Vicki and John ve ry kindly let them see and feed the animals. It was a great base to explore Devon. As a wheelchair user it met all my needs. Wet room very good.
Jo
Owners were lovely people but we did not enjoy out stay at stitchpool, it's extremely remote like extremely. The water pressure was very bad so we couldn't shower or use the kitchen sink, the outdoor area we found to be very dull and there was no rear garden area as stated. Not really much to do around the site either. The views were not great and we felt like we were intruding most of the time. We felt very disappointed and left early, not for us
Margaret
An amazing "aspect" and rural outlook, combined with interesting activities going on around the cottage. Friendly folk, dogs and horses combine to make the stay at this cottage extremely relaxing and enjoyable. Nothing was intrusive, but we felt "included" in "farming life" as we watched the stable activities go on around us. The country lanes were charming. The Forest Inn, Simondsbath - amazing meals and the area is a jumpoff point for Woollacombe, Ilfracombe, Combe Martin, exmoor etc.
Stuart
Lovely cottage on a working farm near Exmoor
Peter

Teresa
This cottage is really beautiful. It is very well equipped, comfortable, and in a lovely location. The owners are very friendly and the goodies left for us on arrival most welcome. They included scones, jam and cream, and cake. The cottage is on a working farm and therefore you are likely to get early morning animal noises. We found this added to t he enjoyment of our holiday. Thank you very much to Vicky and John

The cottage is quite remote but we had a lovely week. The working farm was perfect for our son and his family who loved the opportunity to see the animals in close proximity. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped Vicky and John were great hosts and very accommodating.
Carol
Comfortable property with all the equipment you could ask for. The hot tub was especially appreciated by all especially in the evenings after a busy day. It is remote but we enjoyed going out each day and exploring the moors or coast so didn't really mind.
Tracy
The cottage was lovely and cozy and had everything you could need, owners are very freindly and informative.
Lee
I highly recommend this cottage as a place to stay. My family and I had a fantastic week at this wonderful cottage. The owners Mr and Mrs Huxtable were very helpful and friendly along with the rest of their family . There are plenty of good local places to eat and places to visit. Will definitely be staying again sometime in the future .
