The Cider Pound is very clean, modern and well equipped. There is ample space and the accommodation is furnished very comfortably. We would recommend anyone to stay there. They were always on hand if you needed them and nothing was too much trouble. We had some superb chats and was given sound advice on the area, eateries and places of interest. North Devon's marvellous beaches, picturesque villages and moors were in easy reach of the farm, although some country lanes could be quite narrow in places. It was a joy to return 'home' to The Cider Pound after a busy day sightseeing. While visiting the hospital children can learn about these shy wild animals and the dangers they face in the wild as well as how we can help them. The farm is a halfway house for sick hedgehogs and children can meet some of the animals that are almost ready to go back to the wild. The farm also has a gift shop, a coffee shop and a wildlife garden as well as a pet's area with Rabbits and Guinea Pigs.

River Dart Country Park - TQ13 7NP

River Dart Country Park has over 90 acres of woods offering stunning scenic walks, beautiful lakes and open parkland. The park also has a good range of facilities for children including Jungle Ropes, Climbing Frames, Cargo Nets and a wooden Pirate Ship. For younger children there is a toddlers Play Area and a small Beach. During high season supervised activities may include the mega Zip Wire, Canoeing and Rock Climbing.
