We stayed in a lovely spot nestled between Hollywell and Crantock Bay, in such a peaceful area. The house was super well-equipped - honestly, everything we needed was there. The evening sunlight streaming through the balcony was just beautiful. Mike was really helpful, showing us how everything worked and pointing us to a highly-rated local chippy. Surrounded by stunning beaches and countryside, we had a fantastic week. Our puppy loved it too - she had a proper ball! We’d definitely come back!

The hot tub was a bonus after a day at the nearby beaches, which we loved exploring. The owner, Mike, was really friendly and popped over to say hi, which was nice. Having him next door meant any issues were sorted quickly. The local pubs served great foodand we had a brilliant time overall. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a lovely 3 nights at Teg Gwel cottage! Mike was really friendly and made us feel right at home, without being in our face. The place is super clean and comfy, especially for a dog friendly spot. Our dog absolutely loved the new surroundings. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked, which was great since our group has different dietary needs, so we could all enjoy meals without having to head out. The beaches are just an easy off road walk away. We all loved the hot tub and will definitely book again in the future.

We almost feel like giving a bad review just so we can keep this gem to ourselves! We absolutely LOVED this place. The facilities are great, the hot tub is fabulousand it's such a homely and sociable environment. The owner, who lives next door, was so helpful and friendly; nothing was too much trouble! The cottage is simply gorgeous, spaciousand well-appointed. It's perfect for a larger family or group. The beds are really comfortable. It's in a quiet spot with lovely walks all around and the coast just a short distance away. Mike, the host, is incredibly helpful. Covid-19 guidelines are in place. We have visited twice in 2 years and intend to return!

The award winning Newquay Zoo makes a fun family day out in North Cornwall.  With over 130 different species of animals to see and plenty of fun activities for the kids this attraction is ideal.  Recent additions to the zoo include the African Savanna and the Madagascan Walkthrough exhibit.  Kids will love the play area, face painting, tarzan trail and animal encounters.  Different events tale place throughout the year such as the Halloween Zoo Boo family fun event on 31st October.
Dairyland Farm World - TR8 5AA

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages.  You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones.  Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors.  Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.
Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre - PL15 8EU

Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre offers a day full of action and adventure for all the family come rain or shine. If the weather is good then children can take advantage of the vast open space to run around and play, enjoy pony rides, train rides, trampolines and Go-Karts and explore the nature trails. If the weather is not on your side then the huge play barn is the place to head and as climbing frames, slides, ball pool and rope swings as well as a baby and toddler area.

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples.  From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction.  All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe.  Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit.  Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).
The Rock Gardens, Caves and Nursery - TQ5 9HG

The Rock Gardens Caves and Nursery have an amazing setting in the old Palace Quarry. The gardens offer an abundance of trees, plants and floral displays including a very grand 80ft Elm Tree and a stunning Weeping Ash. The site also offers a large carp pond, a breathtaking illuminated cave and a tea room serving tasty local produce.
Paradise Park - TR27 4HY

Paradise Park first opened its doors in Cornwall in 1973 and has been one of the regions top attractions ever since. What was once just a tropical bird garden is now a refuge for many different species of animal and aims to be educational as well as fun for its visitors. The inhabitants include some typical UK creatures including Otters, and Red Squirrels as well as some more unusual and rare animals including Red Pandas. Younger children will enjoy meeting the friendly animals in the farm area. The site has recently been extended and now also has a fantastic Jungle Barn where kids can let of steam.

A fantastic attraction with something for everyone.  Combining rides, activities and exhibitions it's all here in the one place. Look out for seasonal events too such as the Fire in the Sky event on 27th October 2010 - discount advance tickets are available for most of the events so don't forget to check out their website.  Some of the most popular thrill rides include the first Twisting Droptower in the UK called the Skyraker 001.  The Hornert Rollercoaster is also not to be missed.
Tintagel Castle - PL34 0HE

Tintagel Castle is one of the most iconic landmarks in Cornwall and is an excellent place for a family day out. Situated on the stunning Cornish Coast the Castle has a mystical and magical presence and is steeped in historical importance. Indeed the Legend of King Arthur was born right here. The Castle and grounds also provide a home for many species of wildlife as well as some amazing flora and fauna. The site also has a small visitor's centre with souvenir shop and a wonderful Beach Café.
