Such a warm and friendly welcome. Just loved the cream tea that was left for us on our arrival. Would definitely recommend this character property. Will have to visit again
Victoria
Lovely welcome on arrival, lots of information and amazing stay for a weekend getaway with the family.
Our hosts were excellent the cottage was lovely just what we asked for in a quiet pleasant location Mr & Mrs Deakin could not have done more for us with fresh eggs bread milk and anything you would need we will definitely stay here again when we are in. Devon
Peter and Jackie are wonderful hosts, welcoming us to their beautiful and quirky property, we felt right at home. With fantastic views and very dog friendly even for my reactive Dachshund I highly recommend a stay here.

Another great stay at this beautiful, quirky house. 4th time now and every visit surpasses the last. I can't recommend highly enough. The owners are a lovely couple who are ready to assist in any way you require, so friendly. The location is a great base for exploring the North Cornish coast and the rest of beautiful Devon. It's also ideal for lazy days and nights spent in the exceptional hot tub. Highly recomend

We echo the comments already made about Peter and Jackie, genuinely wonderful people. The cottage is quirky, homely, beautifully put together. You can see that Jackie has added her personal touch, Love the Pixie garden
What a great place to stay, great location what 3 words is a god send especially at 2330! Facilities excellent, pity we couldnt stay all week. Hosts excellent. If you are looking for something with rustic charm that has surprises at every turn then this is the place for you.
Andrew
Quirky cottage, clean and comfortable. Parking right outside and easily found using 'what 3 words'. Owners very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
Very comfortable, cosy, well equipped cottage with plenty of character. Host very friendly and welcoming. A lovely secure area for dogs to have a run. The cream tea etc on arrival was a surprise bonus! Thank you.
Stephen
We echo the comments already made about Peter and Jackie, genuinely wonderful people. The cottage was beyond expectation, quirky and the most well equipped we have ever stayed in and the front and back gardens were secure enough for our Jack Russell especially while we were in the hot tub...what a bonus that was. Cream tea, fresh eggs from their own chickens, milk, bread and home made jam were very welcoming. Peter said we could exercise our Jack Russell in his 'sand field' which was perfect as it was fully enclosed and Lloyd loved it. If you're not familiar with the area please speak to Peter because his knowledge of local amenities and places of interest are second to none. Thank you both for a wonderful, memorable holiday, hope to come back soon.
Amanda
An amazing cottage in a beautiful location. Everything was spotless when we arrived and the owners Peter and Jackie are so friendly and always there if you need them. The hot tub was really lovely and kept topped up and clean. I would 100 recommend staying here and will definitely be booking this cottage again
Stephanie
Property was as described. Absolutely beautiful area and such a lovely house to stay in. Peter and Jackie were so welcoming and even left us milk, bread, eggs and a cream tea! We cant wait to go back cannot recommend it enough.
Our only regret is that we couldnt stay longer. We had an amazing time and we would recommend staying to anyone. Its so relaxing and the hot tub was fantastic. Well definitely be back.
Pamela Ann
We thought this was fabulous holiday property with the hot tub a real bonus. Owners Peter and Jacqui two nicest people we met. Nothing was an inconvenience and Peter was always at hand. Had some lovely conversation with Peter and we so sad leave these premises.
Absolutely amazing quirky house we all loved it. Warm welcome from Peter, really lovely guy. Perfect welcome pack of cream scones and jam just delicious. Very well equiped house beautiful bed linen and towels. Plenty of space andy grandson adored his bedroom and also had great fun in the hot tub as we all did. Situated great for the beach and Dartmoor and various towns. Wish we could have stayed longer. Only point was the bed down stairs makes quite a noise when you turn over it dit on it but perfectly comfortable if you don't have a restless partner. Definitely recommend staying here and we will be back.
We had a very enjoyable stay in this quiet and peaceful area. The property was very comfortable and we were very well looked after by the kind and considerate hosts. The weather was quite unsettled and we very much enjoyed learning how to get the wood burner going and keep it going! The welcome pack, which included the makings of a cream tea, was really appreciated.
Elizabeth
What a wonderful, quirky, comfortable converted barn. Such are warm and friendly welcome from Peter. Nothing was too much trouble and Peter was full of helpful information on places to eat and visit. Lots of lovely surprises like a cream tea, flowers, milk, tea, coffee and fresh duck and chicken eggs. Even the dogs had treats left for them. Everything you needed was provided from dog bowls and poo bags to robes and towels. The garden areas were secure for our pooches. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. Thank you Peter and Jackie we will definitely be returning! Jennifer, Andrew, Alex, Beth, Leo and Teddy x
Amazing stay with everything we needed. Hosts left a lovely welcome basket which was unexpected and were on hand if we needed anything. A relaxing break in a beautiful cottage. Thank you. Will be booking again
We really loved our stay, a beautiful cottage with fab facilities and nothing was too much trouble from hosts, Peter and Jackie. The photos do not do enough justice to how cosy and welcoming the cottage is. We stayed for Christmas and the whole cottage was beautifully decorated for the festive period. On arrival, we were delighted by the cream tea that had been set out for us. The hot tub was fab. A real home from home, we will definitely return !
Wow, what an absolute gem of a place, had a truly wonderful relaxing time. The hosts did everything to make us feel welcome, little touches like the cream tea, biscuits, eggs, milk etc, make a real difference and always available if needed. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning
A really warm welcome by the owners. Peter was there to greet us and we had a pleasant surprise with scones, clotted cream & jam plus bread, milk, butter, fresh eggs and more being laid out on the table. The cottage was just perfect with a lovely wood burning fire and the hot tub was an additional bonus. We highly recommend the cottage and we can't wait to visit again but for a longer stay next time.
Andrew
Welcoming hosts, felt really at home and the barn was converted to a very high standard which made for a very cosy stay during some wet and windy November weather. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Amazing stay! The cottage was so homly, cosy and quirky, would 100 recommend. The owners where so so lovley, best hoilday in a long time, will definitely be coming back! Ps loved the hot tub and cream tea
Tamara
Lovely comfy cottage, secure parking, easy to find rural setting yet close to main road links. Hosts are lovely, with nothing being too much trouble. Dog friendly property, dogs are not to be left in the cottage. however the hosts can be approached to dogs sit in their own home, or outside kennels by prior arrangement. The accommodation is spread over three floors, with the double bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, open plan kitchen sitting room on the 2nd floor and a twin bedroom on the 3rd. Hot tub and small seating area enclosed front garden and safe fenced dog walking on designated areas of the hosts land. This is a small holding with resident dogs, cats, ponies, sheep, ducks, chickens and plenty of Devon Pixies.
Pete and Jacqui were amazing hosts. We were made extremely welcome and the thoughtfulness of the facilities was brilliant, from fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge to a full on cream tea. The cottage is tucked away down a little lane, our dogs fully enjoyed walking in the field, it is close enough to Okehampton to shop. Had an amazing relaxing weekend and would definitely go back
Victoria
This cottage is absolutely beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed my week stay. The owners were lovely, so welcoming and accommodating. They had thought of everything from food goodies, dog bags, towel and bowl even provided the toiletries for my stay. We were also welcomed by a horse, chickens, geese and sheep. The hot tub was my favourite part of my stay. Me and Henry dog will return, that's for sure.
Absolutely wonderful accommodation, cannot recommend highly enough. If you want a relaxing stay, that is a fantastic hub for visiting all the wonderful sites Devon has to offer, with hosts so helpful that nothing is too much trouble then this is the place for you. The animals are beautiful and and views are idyllic. The cottage has everything you need and more. It's an 1110 from us.
