Azalea Barn is just fantastic! Great, off the grid location but still a really ease base to explore from. The barn itself is of a high standard with all the modern comforts you would expect and more! The hot tub was a welcome relaxation point after a day out, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. All in all we loved A zalea Barn and would highly recommend it.

We loved Mortehoe which is a short drive away and the coast there and at Woolacombe. The owners gave us some great tips for exploring the local area. We had a great stay and would love to come back.

We had a very comfortable stay for one week at the Azalea with our 2 children (10). We did a lot of walks in the area and visit different beaches. De hottub was a very special calm down for us after a impressive day. Contact with the owners if there was something, was easy by messenger.

We had a fantastic stay at Azalea Barn. Not initially sure we would use the hot tub we were in it almost every evening after long walks. The sitting out areas were brilliant for tea or a drink and in the summer we'd definitely have used them more. The beds were probably the most comfortable we've ever stayed in apart from our own and one or two lux ury hotels. We cooked most nights and all the kitchen equipment was very good and there was plenty of crockery so the dishwasher was brilliant.

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families. There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings. Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast". There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga. As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
