The cottage was very comfortable and well furnished. Highlights were the hot tub and Table Tennis. Enjoyed by both children and grown ups. Phone signal and WiFi extremely poor.

We had a nice week here at the Thatch cottage. We were so lucky with the weather as it was warm and sunny. The garden is a dream - absolutely loved the outdoor space and to have lots of places to sit and relax. We visited nearby places (the beach at West Bay, Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, Forde Abbey). Fab food at The Hive Beach Cafe and the SymoRead morendsbury Cafe. As small negatives, the wifi is very slow, the beds weren't as comfortable as we were hoping and the lane was busier than expected. We returned for our 2nd visit to Dorset Thatch. The weather wasn't as nice as last year but the games barn came into its own. Many a table tennis tournament was played and the table football was very popular with my grandsons. Thank you for another amazing week.

Fabulous cottage in a beautiful location. So many walks available from the cottage. The hot tub was fabulous especially on the clear nights when we sat star watching. The fire is a beast, certainly a thing of beauty when ablaze. The welcoming bread and coffee was a lovely touch. We had everything we wanted for a peaceful break .

A beautiful house, exceptionally well equipped. The bedrooms are all suitable for adults and the kitchen is a great space to all get together for mealtimes. We had a lovely weeks stay at Dorset Thatch. The cottage & garden are both beautiful and the location was great, so quiet and rural but with easy access to bridport and beaches. Coffee outside in the morning listening to the birds was idyllic with plenty of space for our 2.5 year old to play. We did leave some feedback directly with the owners rela ting to housekeeping improvements but overall a lovely stay and we would definitely go back.
Julia
An utterly lovely and private detached cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Beautiful walks and a peaceful location. The garden was also great for the dog - she was quite disappointed when we got home!
Dee
The cottage is in a super location with pretty gardens, peaceful and relaxing yet only a short drive to the nearest town and the coast. We (6 adults) found the cottage itself to be immaculate, spacious and comfy and spent our first 15 minutes checking the delightful rooms and sayingWow! The extra facilities such as the hot tub are a real bonus. All the Symondsbury staff are courteous and helpful. Wed thoroughly recommend a stay in this lovely cottage.
