Harford Barn Reviews

Lisa
What a unique property. Absolutely loved the layout and how it was decorated. Really good attention to detail and felt at home straight away. Loved the use of space. Will definitely return!
Robin
Lovely converted barn, for the ultimate getaway from it all. The barn is very well equipped with a unique layout, the hot tube in the garden is a added bonus, the barn is set over 3 floors that my little son loved as the third floor was like a snug that he made his home for the week, he could watch the Tv in the lounge from up there. In typical DevoRead moren style the lane leading upto the barn is a little tight is you have been warned Hide
Lindsay
Lovely cottage with everything you need for the week. A lovely host too!
Richard
The cottage was lovely, with a great kitchen, a comfortable living room and a great snug in the eves. The showers were good, and it was nice to have a choice of eating areas (in the kitchen or upstairs in the main room). The garden is really a small enclosed courtyard, although we also have use of the field. WiFi and smart TV worked well (a good thRead moreing, as our mobile signal was very weak!). The lane to the cottage is narrow, and the drive to the barn rather bumpy, but perfectly passable. Hide
Linda
Given the kitchen is downstairs and the lounge upstairs we had to buy a tray to carry tea/coffee upstairs. Also needed to buy plastic kitchen utensils, toilet rolls, salt and pepper, kitchen foil and cling film, hand soap, and kitchen towels. No vanity unit in bathroom hence toilet bags on the floor - not even a hook for clothes The 'garden' too smRead moreall for our dog to stretch his legs. No walking access anywhere to the natural landscape from the property. No internal windows with a view outside. Hide

Had a fantastic week in this cottage late may . Really nice week . So relaxing also loved the animals roaming free hence our cookers and to be on their lead . This was no issue because of ample room for them to run about in the secured garden. Beautiful cottage with ample room in all aspects... Got to say the showers were amazing with high pressureRead more and so hot. Kitchen big and spacious with all untilites you need. Bedrooms spacious and well decorated as was the lounge. Well worth the money . Ace Hide

We had a lovely stay. The barn was so well equipped a real home from for us, I also enjoyed renewing my fire lighting skills with the wood burner. Everything was very clean and good quality, slept like a log every night. Enjoyed seeing the peacock strutting around as well as the sheep and the poultry. Great owner and a warm welcome.
Jenny
Lovely location, great walks from the cottage up onto Dartmoor. Easy access to drive around the area too.
June
All the cottages that we have stayed at in the past have had a welcome pack and the essential things like some tea bags, bread, milk, luckily enough we had these with us, but there wasn't even a salt or pepper pot, we did have a cream tea consisting of 2 scones with enough cream and jam for both scones, I don't know if it was just an oversight. BarRead moren was lovely although the stairs were quite steep, not ideal for older people. Very clean barn, tastefully decorated. A bit remote. Hide

A very comfortable and relaxing property with high ceilings and very spacious rooms. Very good for families and it has a walled garden which is excellent for dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and found the owners to be very friendly and helpful.
Andrew
Beautiful converted barn on a lovely farm shared with small camping/glamping site. Off the beaten track in a really peaceful location.
Richard
A beautifully restored and immaculately clean barn conversion in a very peaceful spot in the South Devon countryside. Left in peace and quiet by the owner but her phone number is posted if the need to contact her does arise. The barn is equipped to live in comfortably throughout the year, never mind just for a few days.
Colin
In a nutshell - we would gladly stay there again! Well kitted out kitchen, very comfortable furnishings, heating suitable for cool late Spring weather.
Gareth
Lovely property, very roomy and very quiet location when we were there. Well equipped. Minor issue with heating and hot water on arrival but dealt with quickly. Friendly owner. Rooms a little gloomy but building structure doesn't lend itself to more windows. Concerned about proximity of communal campsite showers to the barn. Not an issue at low seaRead moreson but could be disruptive later in year. Hide
Andrew
Welcoming, warm and clean modern barn conversion! Nice views of Dartmoor and the peaceful it brings with woodland walks nearby for the dog. Amazing link and access to the A38 too!
Marion
So peaceful! We had the most relaxing stay at Harford Barn recently. Dartmoor is literally in the back garden and also within easy reach of the South Devon coast. The barn is tucked away down a quiet lane with everything you could need for a great holiday. We loved the resident pig in the field and hens clucking around the yard. For a party of fourRead more adults plus dog, there was easily enough room for us all. Days spent walking, and evenings by the wood burner in the comfy lounge - bliss. Hide
