We had 4 great nights here. The design and layout is excellent and exactly as it looks on the website. The spec is of the highest standard (mattress the only slight exception for us). The hot tub and sauna are easy to use and good fun. Another bonus is being so close to the pub also owned by Sue. It is very popular and serves lovely food but you arRead moree completely unaware of being so near when in and around the pod. Upon arrival we were shown all the amenities of the Pod, including instructions to light the wood fired hot tub. The Sauna was fantastic. We had a hamper provided which had the essentials for a nice cooked breakfast. The pub is a few meters away and haRead mores a varied menu, the food we ate was cooked well and the portions were plentiful, most importantly the meal was very tasty. We would return. Hide

Quiet location with only two pods on the site. Lots of places to visit nearby and dog friendly. Great choice of meals at the pub with friendly staff. We enjoyed getting away from it all for a week.

Loved it here! Not too far from local amenities yet really private and idyllic. Lovely river at the bottom of site. Lovely walks nearby, easy to reach the beach approx 25 minutes by car. Perfect for our dog as enclosed. Super clean, didnt see any dirt. Felt like a home away from home.

Lovely peaceful 3 days away. Very clean and equipped with what you need. Hot tub is amazing however need to check the temperature before getting in as can get very hot. Owners helpful and pub on the doorstep !
Donna
Excellent facilities, location and welcome from the host. Will be recommending ! Parking is easy, but if a challenge being expected to clean up all of the dog hair when its a dog-friendly cottage but we went over with a broom, our own wipes and kept him off the bed (might prove a challenge for other owners). Welcome pack appreciated - eggs, bacon, milk, a beer and a prosecco plus bread, butter and marmalade. This is an exceptional property set on well kept and secure grounds of the pub
Andrew

What a place!!! I took my partner for her 30th for a relaxing weekend without the kids and that was exactly what we got! Management were great to talk to and advised us a great day out down the beach where we went paddle boarding and snook into a pub on the beach for a pint of local ale. The pub on site does amazing food with very friendly staff. W e are already looking at the Callander to book again we absolutely loved it!!!
Laura
The pod was amazing really thought of everything. Nice welcome pack and a great pub. A really beautiful place located in a nice area not far from totnes town. We went on a walk from the cider press in Darlington to totnes was very nice.
Doreen
The pod was very clean & had all we needed to enjoy a good week's holiday. It was great having the hot tub and the pub on the doorstep We ate in the pub several times & every meal was excellent. We only met one owner - Sue - and she was lovely. Happy to come over to assist with anything we needed. The bar staff were very friendly too. Totnes is on ly 5 miles away so we did a couple of steam train & boat trips from there. Scenery lovely & good for walking if you can manage the hills
Heather
Really nice location, and the pod, hot tub and steam room were brilliant
Tracy
Superb property! Beautiful setting and furnished to a high standard, the hot tub was fantastic and Sue couldn't have been more helpful. The logs were all provided and our pub meals, which were great, were delivered to us if we wanted to have them in the pod.Dog walking was a bit of an issue as the footpaths were only accessed by the road which was qui te busy and fast despite the 30 limit.
David

Yvonne
Fantastic place! Absolutely beautiful! The owner Sue was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The welcome pack was by far the best we have ever had. There was bacon, eggs, milk, bread, butter, tea and coffee, shortbread biscuits, crisps, home made scones with jam and clotted cream, wonderful! The bed was so comfy and the wet room/shower was super . They have thought of everything. The wood burning hot tub was heavenly as is the sauna. Will 100% return and recommend to our friends. Wonderful!!!
Andrea
Lovely little pod immaculately presented . Site comprises 2 pods at opposite ends of a paddock with a sauna in the middle. Each pod has its own fire pit and log fired hot tub. Sauna is a dry heat; costs an extra pound per half an hour if you want to use it. Site backs onto the pub beer garden, car park and the Avon Inn. Privacy is an issue at prese nt. Trees planted but need to grow. Host Sue, is very accommodating and is pub landlord. Had a very enjoyable week!
Ray
I highly recommend this away break so quite and peaceful. With the added bonus of the very best food on your doorstep. I shall be returning as soon as possible.
Sarah
This was an absolutely perfect place to stay. I can't recommend it highly enough. The pod was super well equipped and comfortable, the wood fired hot tub, an absolute treat!!! The location, next to a river, on the edge of Dartmoor, was tranquility in itself. Plus it proved to be the most ideal base to explore this beautiful coastline from Dartmouth up to Brixham. Sue, the owner could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. All-in-all, book this place, you will not regret it
Caroline
We spent 3 nights here in April and would definitely come back. A lovely location by the river and very cosy and clean accommodation. Lots of room for the dog to stretch his legs in the garden. The owners were really helpful and welcoming; we forgot our long lead they let us borrow one and got the hot tub working quickly when we couldnt figure it o ut. An easy drive to the coast or Dartmoor, and right next to the pub so all the essentials covered.
Nickolas
Fantastic little get away. Cabin was extremely clean, and had everything you would need for a short break. Host's where very accommodating, and made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in. I Would highly recommend staying here N.Harmon
Alesha Kaur
Lovely little getaway, so perfect for couples. Took our small chihuahua there too, he loved all the space. There is a pub onsite where the staff are so friendly, and the food was so tasty!
Anita
We really enjoyed our stay in the Dartmoor pod. A well designed compact pod with all the essentials and a lovely welcome pack to get us off to a great start. The on-site pub serves excellent traditional food and drink at a reasonable price. Sue, her staff and the locals made us feel very welcome. Good location - we visited Burgh Island, Hope Cove, Thurlestone and Ivybridge wood with our mini dachshund. Lots of dog friendly places / cafes in the area. The pod, garden and river are stunning.
Julie
Absolutely beautiful location owners and staff at the Avon Inn very welcoming both to myself and my 12 month old boxer puppy. Food at the Inn excellent and good value for money. Im already planning a return visit.
Maria
Amazing stay!! Will be back. Loved every moment of it listening to the river and chilling in the hot tub. Sue was fantastic and couldnt do enough for us.
Ashleigh
The perfect getaway. Beautiful location, friendly and helpful owners with a lovely pub on site serving amazing food.
