Guests of all ages can gather here for a stylish countryside getaway which is guaranteed to keep everyone entertained. The farmhouse, which sleeps 14 across seven bedrooms, is spacious and characterful, and has plenty to do on-site, with a skittle alley, snooker table, and private hot tub, as well as an outdoor children's play area. Taunton town centre is a 2.5-mile drive away, convenient for stocking up on supplies and spending a pleasant day out visiting the museum, going to the theatre, and grabbing a drink or bite to eat in one of the many cafes and restaurants. Enter by the side door, and step into the charming kitchen diner, with exposed wooden beams, an AGA (operational October to March inclusive), and wood burner set back into an inglenook fireplace. It's sure to be the social hub of the house, with enough room for everyone around the table, to share stories and ideas for the days ahead over a hearty home-cooked meal. Cosy down in one of the two lounges, both with soft seating to curl up on and watch TV as you relax. When it's raining, or you simply want a day at ease inside, then head for the games area, available from 10am to 10pm daily. All ages will feel the thrill of competition as they set up a snooker tournament and challenge one another to a game in the delightful antique skittle alley. After a day of excitement, and when you're ready for a good night's sleep, climb one of the staircases to bed: the first floor is split-level, and divided into two wings. Up one staircase you'll discover five bedrooms, three king-size (one with an en-suite) and two twins, as well as a bathroom and two shower rooms, so there'll be no queues for a hot soak or a bubble bath! The second staircase leads to the final two bedrooms, a king-size and a double, both with an en-suite. Once everyone is feeling refreshed and recharged from their stay, and the weather is warm, host a celebration outside. Grill a selection of treats on the BBQ and dine alfresco on the large lawn as the sun sets, followed by a dip in the hot tub.

Megan
Great value for money although oven and hot tub didnt cater to the amount of people who can stay in the house. Swimming pool was a lovely luxury and spent all afternoon in there. Very comfortable beds, the second lounge is an absolute treat and the kitchen area much bigger than it looked on the photos! Very pleasant stay and would return!

We have stayed twice at this Kibbear Farm Barn Conversions in units 2&4 -- a bit of an upgrade could be a good idea - Pool (swimming type) was a great plus for the kids. Both units lacked space for hanging and storing of the stuff we all travel with on holiday. Very isolated location with four very nice cottages of varying sizes. The beds were all comfortable and the facilities generally very good. Very comfortable property with all accommadation well presented clean and every thing needed was there. Very child friendly and things to occupy them particularly the swimming pool which was a great asset. There was nothing to critize.

This was our second year at the Kibbear threshing barn, and my family absolutely love it! It is so safe and well run by Georgina and her team. My grandchildren love the swimming pool, and the beautiful surroundings. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Alison
We love this property, have stayed in it twice now as the arrangement of rooms is perfect for us and facilities great.
Phoebe
Lovely cottage, second visit. Perfect size for our family and dog. Pool a great extra. A bbq would be a great addition! Bring your own fairy liquid, sponge and foil etc
Gail
Lovely large barn and well equipped. It suited our family of six. It had a hot tub and swimming pool Which we had to ourselves which was great. It is near the M5 which we could only hear when outside. So not a problem for us. Our dog loved the open space outside which meant she didn't need to be on a lead. We all had a lovely meal at the local pub The Winchester Arms which was in walking distance. I would highly recommend this holiday home.
Jhen-Nel
I had a lovely stay at Threshing cottage and I would certainly stay again. The facilities are fantastic but the bathroom cleaning needs more attention. It wasn't up to scratch when we stayed. The jets on the hot tub also didn't work properly. But the setting and the house is lovely. Perfect layout for a family. The owner was helpful on the phone to o. I would recommend!
Pete
Very nice little getaway for a family celebration. The two seperate lounges were a great idea as not all 8 of us wanted to watch the same TV shows however the tiny oven could not cope with feeding the 8 people staying. Location was nice but a little difficult and hazzardous to find in the bad weather. Location was nice and out of the way but someho w also managed to have the M5 in the back garden so some of the rooms really suffered from the road noise. Nice property but in need of a deep clean.
Hayley
What a wonderful find. Great layout which suited our party, the two lounges was a real plus when you have kids who wanted to set up computer games. The kitchen was fully equipped. Nice table to sit everyone. We were so lucky to have the swimming pool. Kids loved it. It was clean and although it was shared we had the place to ourselves the whole tim e. We also made use of the hottub on New Years Eve. Thank you, I am sure we will re book soon.
Anne
Good location. Well equipped. Two lounges good so group could spent time together and in smaller groups. Enjoyed hot tub and swimming pool. Plenty of space to sit and eat together.
Andrew
This cottage is a real jewel in the crown of Kibbear. It is spacious, airy and well fitted out. We were a a party of 8 couples in age groups ranging from 20'2 - 70's and everyone was delighted with the accommodation. The hot tub is a great place to round of a day in this idyllic location.
Alison
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful area of UK. House very well equipped, its layout really functional and pool and hot tub fabulous.
Louisa
Lovely properly in an beautiful setting. The house is stunning and we loved using the pool and hot tub. Would definitely recommend
Teresa
The barn was lovely and we would happily book again in the future.
Julia
We enjoyed our stay at Threshing barn very much and despite all of the suggestions for improvements we would definitely come back! The setting is wonderful, the only drawback was the distance to the nearest beach but we knew that before we came. We enjoyed shopping in Taunton, eating and drinking at the Winchester Arms and the visiting the beaches at Burnham-on -Sea, Brean and Kilve and the many daily walks we did with our Border Collie, Duke. Thank you!
Katie
What a lovely stay we had. The children enjoyed all the space. Swimming pool was a bonus and we used it everyday! Lovely pub within walking distance. Will defo stay again!
Gillian
Lovely comfortable luxurious barn. Perfect for our family and dog. Great to have two lounges. Everyone loved the pool and hot tub. Easy to watch the children in the playground. Very enjoyable.
Richard
We chose the barn to get the family of 7 together where we could dine, play games and enjoy the swimming pool and jacuzzi together, we also enjoyed walks in the countryside and the local pub food.
Alexandra
The cottage is clean and well equipped. Unfortunately there was a problem with the swimming pool, and we did not had time to enjoy it, but the host has offered to refund us 25% of the total payment. We did enjoy the hot tube instead. Everything else was absolutely perfect. The only minus is the local pub, we had our dinner on arrival, and 5 of us ( we were 7) had food poisoning, feeling sick for 2 days. Service was really nice, but even delicious, something was wrong with the food.
Phoebe
The photos on here do not do the place justice! It's freshly painted, light and airy, spacious and has everything you need. Kitchen well equipped with untensils, trays, dishes and cutlery etc. Helpful note - the Fridge/Freezer is full size, not undercounter (which is what I expected!) so plenty of space for a full food shop for a large family! Pool and hot tub great additions, especially for times you do not fancy a walk! Great place, you won't be disappointed.
Amanda
Perfect for a multi generation family break. Great space in Kibbear Threshing Barn, super pool & play area in a lovely location with an easy walk to the local pub.
Samantha
Lovely cottage, plenty of space and good location.
