The Coach House Reviews

We had a lovely stay at the Coach House, on arrival there was a welcome pack for us and another for our dog, thank you. The cottage was very comfortable and quiet. The hot tub was a great addition. Being close to the A55 made it easy to get to various places. We will definitely be back again maybe to stay at one of the other properties on the site. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We enjoyed the property, finding it comfortable and spacious. We also found the property's location, a short journey from the A5, useful in allowing access to routes that could take us easily around the island. However, there were some drawbacks. We felt that the lack of shelving in the shower units was a practical oversight, the kingsize on the ground floor was not divided into singles as we'd requested prior to our arrival, and although the property has a hot tub, a notable factor in booking this particular rental, the hot tub could not be used, as it required maintenance. That said, once we'd managed to contact the owner, we were offered the use of the hot tub in the neighbouring vacant rental for the remainder of our stay. The owner also offered compensation, for a period of three nights without access to a functioning hot tub, as a gesture of good will. Sykes representatives were both helpful and professional in liaising with the owner and handling this.
Beautiful coachhouse, couldn't fault anything. Well equipped, comfortable, great location. Will book again for next year.

We have just spent 3 nights at The Coach House paying 900, its a lovely property, very clean and in a great location. The only thing for us that let it down was theres one very small TV in a large lounge, and as a party of 6 ranging in age from 880 this caused problems, there are no TVs in the bedrooms. When the owners have clearly spent a lot of money on the property I cant understand why they would put such a small TV in,or put any in the bedrooms. This unfortunately would stop us wanting to return.
The cottage was really lovely, but one thing was not good and that was the showers nowhere to put sponges shower gel etc, and no grab bars in there apart from the above the whole experience was great.
Alison
Loved the cottage, a couple of small things really niggled lack of hooks in the bathrooms to put towels or bathrobes and the step up to the hot tub was very high even my brother who is nearly six foot thought it needed another step! Otherwise the cottage had everything we wanted for our family break
Samantha
My family and I enjoyed a gorgeous long weekend in the cottage, which was lovely and comfortable and very cozy. We were extremely fortunate to have sunshine during our stay. We really did thoroughly enjoy ourselves. The only minor issue was stripping the beds at the end of our stay, which we have never been expected to do before. We did as we were requested, but both my parents are in there late 80s and I suffer with Parkinsons and a broken shoulder, so it was a struggle. I do personally feel that as paying guests, we shouldnt have to do this as anybody staying at mine wouldnt be expected to get up early to start removing bedding. Having said that we would still return

For the second year on the trot and after repeatedly asking Menai Holidays to provide separate beds for one of the rooms so my disabled mother could use, this wasn't undertaken. I then had to drive my mum to the other side of North Wales to stay with my sister as I got no action to fix on first day of arrival and then missed her as part of the first 3 days of the holiday. Heating in main bedroom wasn't working meaning, so that our baby couldn't get a bath and was freezing in the room. This was only fixed on the 4th day. No hot water in shower of one of bedrooms. Was said this wasn't possible to be the case as all on same heater. Had father in law having to share our bathroom for shower for first 3 days, before eventually fixed. Contacted Menai was a painful process and so difficult to get any action to be undertaken. Was a truly awful experience and so disappointing as I only get one week holiday a year back in the UK. The additional correspondence of Menai asking me to confirm only 6 people were staying there was baffling and frustrated me further that this was being asked with all the issues I was facing. To be offered only a GBP50 credit for all that happened was embarrassing and derogatory. I then wanted to speak to someone at management level at Menai to understand how they could think this was a suitable offer and for an apology or to put me in contact with the owner to discuss. I was met with both by very arrogant refusal to discuss by the Call Centre Team. A simple apology or explanation or desire to fix what happened for a future visit would have been fine as I understand owning my own properties that things can go wrong, but the actions of Menai have now forced further action to be taken as it was completely unacceptable how I have been treated.
Rachel
Lovely property which had everything we needed for a weekend away with two babies and a dog. The caretaker was very helpful and accommodating. Great location, clean and comfortable. We would definitely return.
The Coach house
Well what can I say, beautiful, stunning cottage and beautiful area. Highly recommend. Excellent customer service. We had a welcome box on arrival with everything we need and goodies such as prossecco etc. My only negative is I had to go home I could stay here longer. Having the hot tub and own private garden is the icing on the cake and makes it that extra bit more special. Beautiful Can't wait to come back
Sheer blissful heaven.....
This property did not disappoint on any level. Beautiful surroundings with nature at its best. Comfortable beds, cosy kitchen, lounge and outdoor area with a fabulous hot tub. So much peace and quiet, we did not want to leave. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with tasteful tableware and cutlery. The sofas in the lounge were so comfortable and soft and the log burner just added to the heart warming ambience of an Autumn Anglesey evening. There are other properties on this site which look equally desirable especially the Hayloft - they have all been decorated to an extremely high standard which makes it a pleasure to holiday there.
A beautiful, charming property set in quiet countryside. A renovated coach house, very clean and modern whilst retaining its charm. Kitchen well equipped, lovely sitting room and dining area. Very clean and even treats and a basket of things for the dog! Very thoughtful, thank you! Lots of information left to help explore the area. Hot tub was a delight!
Christine
Beautiful cottage, sympathetically restored in a quiet location. Perfect for our needs and the dog appreciated all the treats left for him! Also thanks for the goodies left for us. Hope to return soon.
Frances
The Coach house was a wonderful base for our Anglsey holiday. It was very clean and had all the amenities we required. The owners and caretakers were very helpful and accommodating. I would certainly return. Next time I would try and book direct without using Sykes as they were unhelpful and rude.
Amanda
Fantastic property, clean and cosy. Everything needed for a wonderful stay, the welcome hamper for us and our dog was so thoughtful. Only one minor recommendation would be to have some extra hooks in the bathroom to hang our wet towels as we had hot tub towels as well as bath towels to dry.
The cottage was lovely, very clean, everything we needed, not being too picky just a few things could have been better, there was no mirror in 2nd downstairs bedroom near a socket for hairdrying. We thought the TV was rather small, and a few more plump cushions for the sofa. The welcome gift was a nice touch, the dog loved his as well. All in all a lovely stay.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Alison
This is the 3rd time we have visited this property and it was excellent as ever. Very convenient, well designed and equipped property. Im sure we will visit again.
Absolutely loved our stay at the coach house. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and very appreciated after a long drive. Perfectly situated to access all the places we wanted to visit and location wise amazing as we just wanted peace and quiet. It was fabulous to have the paddock to let our dog have a run around before jumping in the car to visit the various locations and as for the cottage itself just bliss. Absolutely loved stayed here and cant wait to book again.
Jennifer
The property was excellent. ....we couldn't have wished for better. Clean, comfortable with very good quality fittings and beautifully presented. As an extra suggestion....certainly not a criticizm.....some shelves and hooks in the bathrooms, would be useful. It was just such a lovely property to come home to......but don't tell anyone.....we might not be able to book again!!
Michelle
Our family of 6 came to stay at the Coach House for a week. We found the accommodation modern and clean, the grounds are beautiful and the hot tub was fabulous. As others have said about no washing machine it was a slight inconvenience but it wouldn't deter us from booking again. The welcome package was a lovely touch, there was even milk in the fridge, tea coffee and sugar left as a courtesy for that much needed morning brew! Overall we had a great relaxing stay and would highly recommend. Thank you Tabatha
This cottage was a wonderful find and we would highly recommend to our friends and family. We are already planning to return next year! The folder of recommendations was a great help, thank you.
We had a lovely stay at the coach house. Very clean and cosy house to spend the week with family. Hot tub was ready to use on the night we checked in which was appreciated, lovely to sit out in after a long day! Nice little welcome hamper was a nice touch with some Prosecco.A home away from home! Very enjoyable stay and would return if in the area. Great base to explore Anglesey! The only point I would add is a washing machine would be useful but there isnt really space in the kitchen area for it. Travelling with a baby means mounting washing which would have been good to stay on top of during the week but not a problem
Lovely place. ...
An absolute amazing place to stay. Can not fault the Coach House at all. Lovely little gestures such as tea and coffee supplied, awesome welcome pack and little things like an Alexa in the cottage. Just a beautiful place that I would recommend and hopefully we will be back again soon.
Beautiful cottage for getting out and about. No major views. You have to go out to get these. Could do with a couple of arm chairs in the lounge especially f you have 6 adults staying. Otherwise lovely place.
The hot tub was cold when we arrived at 4. 30pm. It was not useable until the following morning , which was really disappointing. I had emailed the owner in advance requesting that we would like to use the hot tub on the day of our arrival and I wasnt overwhelmed by their response. If checkout is 10.00 am this should be sufficient time to drain it and refill it in readiness for the evening . This did spoil our experience a little , which is a shame because it is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location .
The Coach House is absolutely lovely, clean, spacious, well presented and very well equipped. Hot tub and pretty courtyard garden just adds a little something special. Perfect for a family holiday. Our dogs loved it too! Due to covid, soft furnishings such as cushions etc., had to be removed for ease of cleaning, understandably, but it's amazing how these little touches add to the cosiness of the surroundings. Otherwise, beds, bedding etc., all lovely. Would love to stay again possibly in the Hayloft when we aren't travelling with grownup children LOL Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Excellent property with every thing you need for a relaxing holiday.

Location and hot tub
Elizabeth
We loved The Coach House and hot tub and would definitely stay again.
Gorgeous cottage in a lovely location, would highly recommend.
We loved it all, especially the COVID box with the clear instructions. We loved the decor and the overall feel of the cottage and its environment, some of the jets didnt work on the hot tub which was a shame but none the less it was amazing. Would love to come again!
This cottage was by far the best I have ever stayed in finished to a very high standard, peaceful, calming and we all did not want to leave. The lights in the kitchen were amazing I loved the red one!!! The beds were so comfortable that my back did not ache in the morning which was a triumph. The sofas in the lounge were so inviting even with the soft furnishings missing because of Covid 19. The log burner was so cosy burning away with just the lamps on....sheer bliss. Then the amazing Hot Tub we were in it every evening after a day spent exploring the island, in particular watching the planes taking off at RAF Valley and strolling along Sandy Beach.......this property is a MUST and yes!!! we will be back.
Fabulous stay, the cottage was beautiful and in a wonderful peaceful setting, ideal for our toddler and dog. The grounds were amazing and the cottage itself was exceptionally clean and well stocked, very comfy. The only thing it lacked was a washing machine which would have been a benefit when travelling with children. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property. We even had our own resident red squirel!!!
The cottage is brilliant for a great quite getaway but within easy reach of the whole island loved it. The cottage is really well equipped, extremely clean, very comfortable even taking account of the adjustments that have had to be incorporated due to the dreaded virus. We met the owners and the cleaning staff who are all brilliant. Overall 10 out of 10 great break.
Andrew
Fabulous accommodation and lovely surroundings. Even with COVID19 everything was made clear to us and with no ambiguity. I would score a 1010 for Menai holidays but only negative was I had a query with regard to the booking, rang the call centre, the promised call back was never made and instead the owners got a garbled message that caused confusion. This is why Id give a 910. Otherwise fantastic and good value for money.
Lovely well looked after cottage, nice welcoming pack on arrival. Really good facilities including hot tub. Would recommended this accommodation.
