The cottage really surprised us - it’s much larger than it looks in the pictures and had a cosy, welcoming vibe. We loved how peaceful the location was, yet it’s perfectly situated for exploring Tenby, Saundersfootand all the other lovely spots nearby. Despite the weather not being great, we managed to fit in everything on our list. The place was spotless and had a charming character that made it feel like a home away from home. Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire is an award winning Farm attraction, offering fun for the whole family come rain or shine. The main attractions are the Zoo, Farm and Petting Barn and there is also a huge Adventure Play Area and a small funfair with traditional rides. Priced at just £8.00 for adults and £7.00 for children it offers excellent value for money. There are several places to eat and drink including a licensed bar and a family friendly restaurant.
Dinosaur Park - SA67 8DE

The Dinosaur Park is located in Tenby and makes the perfect family day out.  Activities on offer include fossil hunting, Dino Crafts, Pat a Pet and the treasure hunt.  For both toddlers and older kids there's an indoor adventure playground, ideal when the weather is not on your side.  The high-tec activity centre is always popular with interactive fun and education.  New in 2010 is Hooplasaurus.  Check out their website for the latest admission prices and what's on when you plan to visit.
Pembroke Castle - SA71 4LA

Pembroke Castle is thought to be the birthplace of the Tudor dynasty and is an excellent choice for a family day trip. The castle one of the areas most iconic landmarks and features an amazing 75ft high Great Tower! Visitors can also take a tour of the Norman Hall and the Exhibition Rooms where the displays change regularly. There is also a Picnic area and plenty of open space for children to run around in the grounds and gardens. The site also has a cafe and a gift shop.
Merlin Hill Centre - SA67 8BP

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!
Celtic Quest Coaststeering - SA65 9PT

Celtic Quest Coaststeering offers a unique way for active families to spend the day. As long as children are over 8 and everyone is fit and well the whole family can enjoy a day of climbing, descending down mountains, cliff jumping and Island hopping.
