A lovely break in the scenic and amazingly diverse Snowdonia, the cottage is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by rolling countryside with just sheep for neighbours - very quiet only showing an interest while we sat in the hot tub looking out towards the hills around us. A spectacular location, it is down a long and slightly rough driveway, so don't be put off and think you're in the wrong place - signs already up are very helpful. Cottage is cosy with everything you need, warm and comfortable, conservatory useful for wet clothes and lovely on a sunny day. Hot tub feels private and views are amazing, owners extreme ly helpful. Just a note, be aware due to height of bathroom, we could not stand under the shower, inconvenient but not a major issue, a lovely stay!

Do not expect pubs, restaurants or shops within walking distance. The owners property is adjoined to the cottage and although they are friendly, there are time s when they will be using their hot tub or garden at the same time as yourself.

Pen-Y-Ffrith Bird Garden is an 18 acre site, filled with glorious woodland, dramatic gardens, streams, ponds and a 3 acre lake. As the seasons change so do the delights of the park. During springtime the bluebell woods are spectacular while in the summer the bog garden is a favourite attraction with some unusual displays of flora and fauna. In the autumn a walk through the ravine with its flowing waterfalls in not to be missed. There are also several yearly events to enjoy including the Bat walk in September.

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out. Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm. The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes. There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. Children's activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and on special occasions such as Halloween and Christmas.
