Everything was great! The only thing we could mention as a bit of constructive feedback is that my husband felt a bit rushed by the last-minute exit. The owners were already outside our place ten minutes before our departure time and it felt like they were hurrying us along, making us worry that we were running late. We actually cleaned the whole house ourselves as early as 8am on the 14th. It would be nice if they could wait outside instead of bringing the cleaner in. As mothers, we didnâ€™t mind at all.

What a wonderful remote location for a break away from it all! The cottage had everything we needed and the four good-sized bedrooms were perfect. Our stay at 'The Artists Garden House' (The Gatehouse) this month was absolutely wonderful! Five of us really had such a fab time. Kingsley and Wolfgang were so lovely, making us feel right at home. The House was brilliant and their home is like the most beautiful fairy tale haven, inside and out. It had all the space we needed and more! The gardens are magical, inspiring and beautiful - both during the day and at night. We spent a lovely afternoon sitting in the grounds, painting away (we're all novices, but felt inspired). We had a murder mystery night, dressed for dinner, explored the area, read, played board games and the hot tub was great too. Kingsley and Wolfgang have created such a lovely home and gardens that they should definitely be seen by others who love beautiful gardens and quirky creative spaces. We had an incredible stay at The Gatehouse last week. Kingsley and Wolfgang were exceptional hosts and their hospitality, along with the wonderful, almost fairytale grounds and stunning cottage were brilliant. This holiday property was wonderful. The house is very spacious with several bathrooms. A big kitchen with a huge dining table. Living area is lovely, lots of seating and a nice fire. Children's activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and on special occasions such as Halloween and Christmas.
