Positives are that the cottage is conveniently located and the hot tub was clean and well-maintained daily. The cottage inside was a disappointment. General cleanliness was very below standard. The furniture was stained, the dining table and placemats were sticky and dirty, the shower had cracked and dirty tiles and black mould, and the shower hoseRead more needed cleaning. A comfortable and well equipped cottage. Lovely spot. Dog walking is great here. Our family enjoyed the beach, although it is pebbly and the stairs to get to it arent for the faint hearted. Great location - next to a v peaceful beach and RSPB Minsmere/lots of walks. The hot tub was nice and well maintained. The cottage was clean but seems a little tired and in need of a bit of maintenance. Good to have a restaurant/bar on site, though it wasnt open every night.

Loved the cottage the location was great so much access to all types of walk and of course so near the beach. I thought it was a love touch where the had a woof walk so dogs could have a good run . It was so peaceful and the only sound you could hear is the sea. Good relaxing place to be.
Joanna
We really enjoyed our weekend at Sycamore Cottage. The enclosed front and back garden great to ensure dog doesn't run off. A great location for getting out and about. The stairs a bit of a challengecat first but got used to them after a few times up and down. Good kitchen supplies for cooking. Bed very comfy. Pillows hard but suited me fine. The sh op is a little gem and ideal for any last minute or forgotten items. The bar/ restaurant area is brilliant. Lovely staff. Will be back.
Gareth

Karl
Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting
Nigel
The cottage is equipped very well with quality appliances and everything you need for a fantastic stay. The location is amazing.
Rachel
Great location! Being a dog family this place ticked all our boxes as we could walk everywhere. Beach, heath, villagesall in easy reach. The camp site was nice and having a shop and pub on site was a huge bonus. It was still quiet though & we barely noticed we were on a site at all. The cottage needs some TLC but was comfy, fairly clean & generally in good order. Only mirror was the bathroom cabinet, which isnt great. But we went out lots, so all in all we were happy. Lovely hot tub!
Marc
No internet, no satellite tv, no noise, no litter or mess.the perfect get away from the rat race. Lovely cafes and amazing walks on the beaches or into the countryside. Definitely will return when the world starts getting too much. A proper holiday away from everything.
Edward
Nice Cottage. Good location for the Suffolk Coast. Helpful staff. Good fencing for our small dog. Off Road parking. Short wark to the beach from cottage - using stairs to go down the cliff. All appliances worked fine.
julie
Fabulous location , perfect for our dog with a lovely safe garden . No wifi in the cottage was not good , having to go over to the bar to get it . Site was lovely and clean , tastefully done no tacky entertainment or kids clubs. Comfortable cottage but could have been a lot cleaner. Beach 2 min walk and the heath across the road for the Woof walk f or the dog was lovely. Nice to have a hot tub which was checked daily by staff , very nice friendly people. A very relaxing week .
Caroline
Fantastic cottage, home from home. Only thing we didnt like was the pillows, but each to their own. Hot tub was a great luxury. Washing machine was good. Dishwasher didnt work! But hey who needs one. A lovely setting. Great walks, and dog friendly.
Melanie
The cottage was lovely especially having a hot tub and enclosed garden. Lovely holiday park the cottage was on with walking distance to the beach. A play area which was well equipped. Nice restaurant which served tasty food. The shop was nice with lots of choice but did not have any fresh veg or fruit. Staff were friendly and helpful on the holiday park. No WiFi in the cottage or mobile signal. But there was WiFi and phone signal at the restaurant. Phone signal ok in other parts of the park
John
Just spent a lovely week in Sycamore Cottage, Cliff House holiday park Dunwich. What a super cute, clean and well equipped cottage it was. Situated on the periphery of the park, it was only a short walk to the 12 lost Churches bar and restaurant, which provided fabulous food and a great choice of beverages. There were a plethora of great dog walks on Dunwich Heath just across the road from the cottage, and the hot tub was great to relax in afterwards. Thoroughly recommend this little gem.
Danielle
I would highly recommend this location. We had a lovely time staying at the cottage. The beach and walking routes are minutes away, which is perfect for my family and my dogs. The hot tub is a real treat after a long walk and the cottage is equiped with everything you need. There is a restaurant and bar on site with very pleasant staff. Factors to consider, the cottage doesn't have WiFi and if you are vegan, make sure you bring enough food as the restaurant only had one vegan option :)
Lyndsay
Lovely cottage, beautiful location. Hot tub perfect. Real home from home. The site is lovely with direct access to the beach and dunwich heath. Great on site pub with excellent food, all good value
CHARLENE
This was a beautiful cottage and we shall be returning, the location speaks for its self with the coast /sea views a stone throw away. We had a lovely time on the beach regardless of the weather. The surrounding areas had abundance of wild life and walks. The accommodation was spacious and would be fine for four, it was clean and no smell of previo us dogs. The food was AMAZING! the homemade pies should get an award ! Carvery was also very nice with homemade items. Staff were nice and friendly.

Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX

This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 28 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
