The cottage was really charmingand we loved the bifold doors. It was super private, which was perfect. The fire alarm was a bit over sensitive though-went off just from cooking! Still, we enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at this lodge! It’s really well designed, with a cosy feel that made us feel at home straight away. The outside space with decking and comfy chairs was perfect for enjoying the sunshine. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches - coffee, tea, sugar, plus a bottle of wine and some flowers waiting for us after a long drive. Practical stuff like washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets was a nice surprise too. All in all, a really nice place to relax!

We stayed at Stour Lodge recently and honestly, it was brilliant! The place had everything we needed, including a coffee machine which was a lovely surprise. The hot tub and wood burner made the chilly evenings super cosy. We took our dog alongand she loved exploring the nearby countryside. After muddy walks, the utility room was a lifesaver for drying her off. The whole experience was really enjoyableand we’re already planning our next visit. Definitely recommend if you're after a relaxing getaway!

We really enjoyed our time at Stour Lodge, especially with our 7-year-old. The beds were incredibly comfortableand the lodge itself was spotless and modern. The hot tub was a lovely bonus after busy days out. The kitchen had everything we needed, including tea, coffee, saltand washing up liquid. Its location was perfect-close to Colchester, Ipswichand the coast. We’d definitely recommend it for families looking for a fun trip!
Emma
The lodge is really well thought out, with everything you might need. The location is peaceful, with gorgeous views from the hot tuband private parking at Burrowes. Loved it!
Emma
We absolutely loved the place! It’s beautifully decorated and super cosy, tucked away in a quiet spot overlooking a pond and fields. The lodge was spotless, but if you have serious pet allergies, just a heads up-it can be tricky to get rid of all pet dander from previous stays. The coffee machine, which uses whole beans, was a lovely touchand there were lots of thoughtful extras. We’d happily come back again!
