Grange Barn Reviews

Absolutely 5! We stayed for a week over Christmas and it was absolutely perfect. The correspondence with the owner was great. We had 2 toddlers and she offered 2 highchairs which was fab. All the little details were perfect and there was nothing she hadnt thought of throughout the property. Very well equipped kitchen. Even had a Christmas tree for when we stayed it was very and cosy. Beds all very comfy and well spread out. We will definitely be back!

The most beautiful property we have ever stayed in. Had everything we needed and more. Will never forget waking up in the morning and enjoying a coffee on the decking watching the sunrise.
Serene
Absolutely beautiful property, super spacious and really well stocked with everything we mightve needed during our stay. Communication with the host was really great too! We had an amazing time, will definitely be returning in the summer months to try out the bbq and tub outside

The photography didnt do justice to the beautiful barn. We loved staying there, so much space, fantastic kitchen to cook with friends all around. The bedrooms are contemporary designed and SO comfortable. A wonderful experience and I'm sure we will be back!
Phenomenal property, perfectly situated for a peaceful stay in the glorious Shropshire countryside. Comfort and design are both achieved in this spacious well equipped beautiful barn. We will definitely recommend and return.

We had a wonderful stay 3 night stay at Grange Barn. We were two families meeting up for the first time in approximately 18 months. The house itself was just beautiful, the renovations and decorations have been done immaculately. The communal space was just perfect for us, eating, chatting and dancing! The children were very happy with so much space. There were lots of little extras provided to get you started, that you wouldn't always find in a holiday let, such as tea, coffee, bread, milk, local biscuits, prosecco, dog shampoo... to name a few! This was a lovely touch and added another level of luxury. The owner, Kirsty, was very helpful prior to our stay, answering my questions via email, nothing was too much trouble. They recommended a local pub, The Dickin Arms, where we had a lovely Sunday lunch. My only suggestion might be to look at developing the outside space, in particular the grassed area in front of the terrace, as I could see this being perfect in the Summer for garden games and children playing. We visited at the end of March, so didn't have the weather for it this time! We did make use of the woodfired hot bath, which took quite a while to prepare, but was lush. Logs and firelighters provided too! All in all, a fantastic place that we hope to return to one day, as I am sure there is lots more to explore in the local area or maybe just to chill out in the beautiful house again!.
What can I say other than WOW. This is an amazing property, stylish, modern and comfortable. You have thought of everything that guests could possibly need. The little extras, wine, cookies, fresh bread, butter the list is endless. Also the communication regarding the booking, details of how to get there and we were even able to contact someone with a question while there. We had a fabulous weekend and are already looking to book again for my birthday in June.

Everything about the property was amazing pictures did not do it justice at all. The owner left anything you could ever need for us and went above and beyond for the duration of our stay already looking at dates to come back!! Could not reccomend any more if you are considering booking my advice is do not hesitate! Absolute perfection xx
This is an amazing place. We visited in February 2024, finding that this place was big enough for us to holiday with some friends of ours. They have a family of five and we have a family of four, making 9 people in all, including 5 children all under 10 years old. Its nice that its a bungalow so you dont have to worry about stairs and children falling down them, and it didn't feel in any way cramped with all the people staying there. This place is it is massive! All the rooms are a good size, but the kitchen diner living room is just huge, and a great place to hang out. The weather was just ok while we were here, but that didnt matter as there was plenty of space to play for the kids without having to be outside all the time. Its also a very quiet place. When you look out the window all you see is fields, and a little pondlake. Its worth mentioning that it is brand new. This is a great thing, as almost everything in it is new, but there were a couple of teething problems when we were there. The owners were very quick to respond to our issues, but were aware this is common when things are new. We couldnt for the life of us work the record player, for example, but the owner has said she will put in instructions to make this easier to use. We experienced a small leak of water during the heavy rain above the main sliding doors too, but again, the owners addressed this. They were only small and understandable things, and nothing that stopped our stay there from being a great one. Its worth mentioning that its a bit of a drive to the nearest shops. Theres a Coop in Wem 12 minutes away, but Lidl & Tesco are a 20 minute drive away in Shrewsbury. Not big issues, but just worth being aware of. Despite the weather, we did still manage to get out, enjoying visits to Shrewsbury, Hawkstone Follies and Chirk Castle. All of these places were lovely, and there were plenty of other things we could have done if we were there for longer. Theres certainly plenty to do in the area. We couldnt really fault the place. Its a great holiday home and we had a great time there. It had everything we needed, and we would love to stay there again, which is why were rating it 5 stars.
I stayed at Grange Barn a couple of weeks ago with some friends and we all loved it! The singlestorey accommodation is very spacious and built to a high standard. Despite its size and exposure, its very warm and cosy with underfloor heating and good insulation. It is also very well equipped, not just in terms of furniture, kitchen equipment etc. but also in terms of supplies provided by the owners, which far exceeds what most other such accommodation offers. The owners are also very helpful and responsive, I found them a pleasure to deal with. There are 4 good sized bedrooms, one double bed and 3 kings that can be split into singles, the 2 bathrooms 1 ensuite are spacious with large walkin showers and dual shower heads, a rain shower and a handheld one. There is also another toilet with a sink, making 3 in total. Even the hallway is spacious and has its own sofa! The coup de grce is the open lounge and kitchen, its enormous and extremely sociable for entertaining and celebrating. It also helps that noise is not an issue, even if the bluetooth Bose speaker also connected to a vinyl record player is at full blast. The large, enclosed patio will be brilliant during the summer, the owners already have outdoor furniture and a BBQ would be a welcome addition. We didnt manage get to get the outdoor hot tub going due to bad weather but its another indication of the quality of the accommodation. The secluded location can be difficult to find, the postcode is useless and will take you to the wrong place, using what3words httpswhat3words.comlibrary.flexibly.unlisted andor following the owners directions is your best bet. The coordinates for the venue are 5250'53.3N 248'48.3W you should be able to enter these into Google Maps to find the exact location. The venue can be used to explore the local meres or for more varied and challenging outdoor activities both the Shropshire Hills and Clwydian Range & Dee Valley areas of natural beauty are around 45 minutes drive away. I highly recommend Grange Barn as a venue and intend to go back at some point.
