Ty Hiraeth Reviews

Pauline
Well what can we say. Ty Hiraeth was everything we hoped it would be and more. Only home a week and we wish we were back. The lodge is stunning with a view from the living area and hot tub you could never get tired of. Great base for exploring the nearby area. The light railway at Welshpool is a must as is Shrewsbury. But what a property to enjoy anyway! Carol and David were amazing hostsvery responsive to all of our enquiries, but basically are just lovely people. Oh and the eggs from the chicken coup are amazing! Thank you both for your warm welcome, your hospitality and for one of the best weeks away we have had! Best wishes. Pauline & Graeme x

Absolutely beautifully appointed property with everything you could possibly think of being supplied by the owners. The only two things I would say that is missing though is a full length mirror and a broom both handy to have. The welcome pack contained some lovely goodies and the eggs and fresh milk were very gratefully received. Both Carol and David were superb hosts and so friendly and helpful.
Amanda
We had an amazing time, this holiday cottage is just perfect! Everything has been thought of thank you, well be back
What an amazing property! Immaculately clean with everything youd need. The views are absolutely stunning, we never got tired of sitting looking out at them. Hot tub was a big hit with us all. It was lovely being able to collect fresh eggs from the chickens each day, and we loved meeting and feeding the alpacas! The hosts Carol and David were so lovely and were there if we needed them. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
Millie
Beautiful property in a beautiful location. Plas Robin was straight forward to find the post code takes you directly there which is always a comfort after a long drive. Ty Hiraeth was better than our expectations which were already high!, the views were magnificent and the property was spacious and spotless on arrival. There was everything we needed to have a more than comfortable stay and provided the perfect base for exploring some of mid Wales. Carol and David the hosts were lovely and welcoming, and happy to help with anything when needed. Would definitely recommend a stay here!
Beautiful property with amazing views. Carol and David were really friendly and we even took Meg the dog for a walk around the village.
Louise
What an amazing property! Done to a very high standard, very clean, lovely welcome basket, stunning views, very friendly hosts. The local area has lots to offer. Would definitely recommend.

Had a wonderful break at plas robin . The lodge was the best we had stayed in and we have stayed in many. From the well equipped kitchen to the very tasteful decor all extremely high class. The owners were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. I have got to mention the eggs from their very free range hens the best I have tasted in many a year. We will certainly be returning in the future for a relaxing break in this beautiful location. Thank you all at plas robin rural Retreats.
Rachel
Lovely holiday and such an amazing lodge. We loved the location, beautiful views, hot tub, roaming animals and the luxury and comfort of the lodge. Carol made us feel so welcome and the local information provided in the lodge was much appreciated. We enjoyed walks from the door around Llandyssil and Montgomery. Im sure we will be back!
This is a stunning property in a truly rural setting. If youre looking for a truly peaceful and tranquil setting this is the place to go. From the moment you walk into the lodge, you can see the love and effort that has been put into it. It was immaculately clean. The fixtures & furnishings are comfortable and high end. The underfloor heating was lovely as was the log burner. The beds were nice and comfortable. And the bonus of a hot tub. All surrounded by farmers fields. Being able to watch the sheep and the very free range chickens, and being able to collect some fresh eggs was just so relaxing. Carol and Dave the hosts are very friendly and welcoming, they cant help you enough with any questions and theres a brilliant where to go and what to do guide which we found very helpful. If its not in that lodge you honestly dont need it! Oh and the WiFi signal is fantastic! Always a bonus for us. Cant wait to go back x

We had a really lovely stay and are already considering to return at some point. Kids loved it especially the little one when it came to go and see the chickens in the mornings to pick eggs. Many things to see around and evening time you could just enjoy the quietness and realx yourselves in the hot tub. Carol and David is a very friendly couple who always were there if there were some questions. Meg the dog just eanted to play with our children and they loved it . Will definitely return .
Sharon
The facilities were fantastic with the lodge being so well equipped with everything. The hosts were so hospitable and welcoming whilst giving you privacy too. Would certainly recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful break away.
Such a beautiful lodge with stunning views! Carol, David and the family are so lovely and accommodating and gave us some amazing suggestions on places to go and things to do. Our Son loved waking up every day and visiting the bottom of the hill to help with the chickens and to play with Meg the dog. The lodge felt like a second home, so comfortable and beautifully decorated and the hot tub was a lovely touch overlooking the fields, perfect with a glass of wine for the end of a busy day entertaining the little ones. It was just the break we needed as a family, were already looking to book again!
The setting of the Lodge would take some beating, it really is stunning, unfortunately we had really poor weather, which was a pity! There is a much appreciated Hot Tub to sit in and admire the beautiful views, day and night! There is also a BBQ and outdoor seating area, which unfortunately we didnt get chance to use because of the weather! The interior of the Lodge is outstanding, colour schemes, quality of all the furnishing and because of floor to ceiling windows its also lovely and bright! The main area is spacious, a well equipped open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge, fire is very effective if you need to use it! Nice surprise of a Welcome Hamper, which is a lovely touch and much appreciated! The owners are very welcoming and helpful! I would certainly recommend this Lodge to anyone, it will take some beating!

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The chalet is beautiful, comfortable and the views outstanding. The hot tub is an obvious highlight but the small touches are just as important such as the range of kitchen staples supplied including fresh bread and homemade preservatives, as well as extra bedding and lovely towels. Carole, the host is so welcoming and accommodating and we all appreciated our break in the Welsh hills so much. Thank you Carole and family!
I cannot recommend a stay at Ty Hiraeth enough! The property is perfectly appointed with all the modern comforts you could ask for in an idyllic country setting that is perfect for relaxing and recharging. We loved cooking on the bbq, enjoying a glass of wine in the hot tub, playing with the family dogs, watching the sun set over the rolling hills, collecting eggs from the hens in the mornings, and exploring the beautiful areas nearby. Carol and David are so welcoming and truly thought of every detail to make the cottage special and comfortable. We stayed here for a week and split time between completely unplugging and working from home, so I can also confirm that the wifi connection is great just as strong as at the office! This is honestly one of the best rental properties weve ever stayed in and we cannot wait to return!
Spot on! Really good experience, Dave and Carol, the owners made us very welcome and looked after us exceptionally well, the chalet was spotless, everything is new and clean, brilliant wood burner for the cold winter nights, really cosy! This has an exceptionally pleasant view down two valleys, it doesn't matter if it's raining or sunny, it's just lovely to sit and look... red kites flying below, sheepdogs rounding up the sheep, rainbows... a truly incredible place to stay, regardless of the season.
Words cannot adequately describe it. It is something you have to experience for yourself. It was a wonderful holiday and so much to do and see. Will book again for next year. It wasn't noticeable that COVID is going on except for the obvious face masks wearing etc. The facilities were first class definitely 5 star.

The most amazing place owned by the most amazing people and animals! We stayed here for my boyfriends 30th birthday in October and they could not help enough! Carole and Dave went above and beyond in making our stay extra extra special and could not thank them enough! I was in talks with Carol for about 2 weeks before our stay helping me organise decorations and a birthday cake which was gorgeous! I am so happy we found this hidden gem and definitely making this our yearly trip! Meg and Mia are absolutely adorable and cant help but have a soft spot for Meg especially when she was always outside our door and we loved playing fetch with them, I even bought myself a cup like Meg and use it everyday! The views are unreal and the hot tub is fantastic there is no place like it and we cant wait for our next visit. Thanks Carole and Dave
