We had an amazing time here, the conversation is stunning, area relaxing and couldn't fault a thing. Will definitely be back again.
A lovely place to spend a week! The view was awesome. The hot tub and added bonus.
A lovely place to stay, well thought out and so quiet. The hot tub was an amazing extra after a busy day. Lovely owners, would definitely recommend this place.
Amazing accommodation. So clean and well equipped. We loved the hot tub and games room. Very peaceful with a beautiful outlook. The owners were so lovely and helpful. Would love to go back one day.

We had a lovely week at Rhianwen and were very sad to leave! Beautiful property, every room has incredibly comfortable beds and each en suite was a joy to have. We loved the outside space with lots of areas to sit in the sun, the hot tub was very popular! Absolutely amazing primate location, but lots to visit and do within 3060 minutes away! Highly recommend Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall and Oswestry for any shopping! The best walk is directly behind the property, with absolutely amazing views at the top of the mountain! Tough, particularly in the what but well worth it!
Beautiful converted barn in a very tranquil, quiet part of mid Wales. Quite remote and could be difficult to find without good old Sat nav ! Postcode takes you straight there. Grandkids loved hottub and take tennis and playing with Freddie, the friendly collie. Property very comfortable and had all we needed. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Diolch yn fawr Lowri a Gwyn.

Lovely converted barn in picturesque rural setting. All 3 bedrooms are ensuite which was definitely a bonus. Everything there that you would need for cooking although the nearest supermarket is 15 minutes away. If you like your holidays in a beautiful rural setting then I would definitely recommend. And if you got the legs and energy walk up the hill behind the barn for amazing views for miles.
A lovely barn conversion in a stunning remote location, very comfortable for 6 adults and 1 dog and each bedroom had a lovely ensuite. Really friendly responsive owners and the hot tub and games room were good additions. Would definitely stay again to explore more of the area.

2 couples , 2 dogs and we really enjoyed our peaceful post xmas and new year break. Easy check in with great comms. Felt at home as soon as we walked through the front door. Lovely cozy converted barn with a log burner gave it a nice cottage feel but spacious at the same time. Didn't feel like we were under each others feet, Each bedroom had a nice modern en suite bathroom. Beds comfy with extra pillows if needed. Kitted out well with everything you'd need for a weeks holiday. Decorated to very high standard. Kitchen could do with more food storage and a decent sharp cuttingcooking knife. Hot tub was huge. We've used many hot tubs in holiday homes and this is by far the best very impressive .Nice and private with fantastic views. Only gripe is there could be more lighting walking to the hot tub in the dark , and the decking can get very slippy when wet. Dogs loved the outdoor space but felt our dog being a smaller dog could of got out so we had to watch him all the time. Not a complaint but it isn't secure for a small dog , maybe some chicken wire at the bottom of the front and back gate would help. It did make us a bit on edge with it being onto the road and obviously fields. Beautiful walks on your door step. Gryn Moelfre mountain literally at the rear the property, great leg burn my other half made it look so easy Trig at the top to add to our list . the views were amazing and well worth the climb. Nearest pub is 1.9 miles away The Wynnstay Inn. Took about 40 minutes to walk down a quite country lane. Lovely warm welcome from staff & locals . Didn't eat there so cant comment. Pictures really don't do this place justice as its a lot nicer in the flesh. Considering re booking for the summer so can take advantage of the lovely out door space. Thank you for welcoming us at your beautiful barn Plas Moelfre Hall Barns a great start to 2024.
We have now stayed at Rhianwen twice and loved it each time. There is plenty of space for everyone and facilities for everyone including our lovely four legged friend. May well return for a third visit
Beautiful location fora peaceful break before Christmas. The barn is beautifully converted and very comfortable. Great fenced garden for the dogs, who had a lovey time. Really recommend this property for anyone seeking a peaceful get away with great sites to visit not faraway.
Alexandra
We all loved staying here! It was such a beautiful place to stay and very cosy
We would definitely recommend staying here. Its nicely furnished, cosy, and spacious our party included four adults, two dogs and a toddler but we didnt feel cramped. The garden is large and ideal for dogskids to run around in, and has several different seating areas to appreciate the extensive stunning views. There were lovely Welsh cakes and eggs provided on arrival, and brew kit, as well as thoughtful features like dog bowlstreats, and double towels for showering and hot tub use. We arrived with some basics for tea and planned to do a bigger shop the following day that worked well as its a bit of a drive to the nearest shop not a complaint, as the peace and tranquility of the local area was just what we wanted. There are lots of outdoor activities within a 30 min drive our favourites were Lake Vyrnwy and the National Ironworks Centre Sculpture trail. We have already recommended the barns to our friends and wed love to come back and explore the area at different times of the year ourselves. Thanks so much for a perfect stay.
Nice clean, comfortable accommodation. Would recommend the Wynnstay Arms in Llansilin for food. Very friendly and lovely meal. Open Wednesday to Sunday.

We absolutely loved staying at the property. It was very clean. The garden was fully enclosed for our dog. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. We booked her based on its location and the hot tub and games room. Every box ticked . However the only point that sadly spoiled our holiday was the last night when the adjoining fields around the property were suddenly busy with, what we assume was farmers, driving up the tracks where sheep were to the top of the hill before sounding horns and releasing dogs to chase foxes and the sound of shotguns. This was so upsetting as we believed fox hunting was banned. it distressed us and the neighbouring cottage and ours and their dogs. When it was finally over the vehicles returned to the road with the occupants stating that the fox had not been killed, just been made lame to die painfully over time. This is just sick and should be banned.

Lovely friendly owners. Perfect cottage to find peace and be in the countryside. Family loved the games room and hot tub after a day out. Secure for our dog too. Lovely holiday. Thank you.
We had an absolutely lovely stay in the cottage. The views over the hills from terrace or jacuzzi are wonderful. All comfort present, very good beds, decent internet. Contact with owner very friendly and fast.
Really cannot fault one single thing. The house is beautiful and super clean. The grounds and the area surrounding its amazing. We had such and amazing stay and wish we could of stayed longer. All the little touches the hosts do you you is truly lovely & thoughtful. Our dogs loved it. They even left bowls, blankets leads etc for them to. We would highly recommend to anyone and will certainly go back. Thank you so much for a wonderful break away.

Lovely barn conversion in a beautiful area views amazing. Spotlessly clean with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Hot tub was also spotlessly clean emptied after every stay & was lovely especially at night with the lights . Such a peaceful location , with access to the hills & walks around the area. Games room also an added bonus. Only slight negative was that although dog friendly, and fenced, our Labrador was always getting out under the fence which was not a problem as the area was quiet , but there were sheep in the nearby field which could pose an issue with some dogs. We loved the stay & would definitely book again next year. Diolch Lowri for the welcome in your amazing place !

Perfect for a family get together

My family and I stayed here for a week. We had a great time, the barn was lovely and hot tub was an added bonus. Views were amazing pictures dont do it justice. Just be aware although its dog friendly the garden is not secure and there is a road next to the garden albeit not much traffic.
Brilliant stay for 5 adults and 2 small dogs. Barn was well maintained and serviced for us all. Everything was there we needed hot tub towels, dog treats. Made for a very easy stay. Had brilliant sunshine Sunday and bbq gas was low was replaced in minutes. Good location with fabulous views. 30min walk to lovely friendly pub with great meals. Lots of walks with dogs around. Throughly recommend we are talking about returning.
Our week away was absolutely fab. The house was perfect for our group and dogs. The whole house is so comfortable and clean, the house felt very homely and cosy. The surrounding area was stunning with multiple walks on our door step and the town not far at all. We would definitely returnrecommend to friends and family.
If you want a truly relaxing break then this is your place, surrounded by beautiful hills fabulous views it is down some very narrow roads but worth the drive. . the house has everything you need, great that when cooking you are not segregated away from everyone..showers were great hot water even when all 3 showers in usebeds so comfy hot tub so nice to relax in after a busy day sightseeing..thankyou Lowri for letting us stay but later on day of departure
Excellent stay! Really nice property, quiet, dog friendly, with onsite mountain and hot tub. We stayed in one property and our friends in the other which worked really well. Nearby are lots of walking trails OS map recommended, waterfalls, and activities. Best to take shopping with you as youre out of the way but theres a decent sized M&S food hall about 20 minutes away. Recommended
Beautiful place to stay. Peaceful and quiet with gorgeous views. Hot tub was lovely and not overlooked. Property was well equipped and had everything you needed for your stay. It is in a very remote location down lots of lanes, so ensure you take what you need, as you cant just pop to the shops easily. We loved our visit thank you.

We had a lovely stay here. If you want a peaceful beautiful place to stay this is ideal. We will definitely be back
Nicola
Fantastic property in a rural location with great views Comfy beds, underfloor heating and plenty of space Made great use of the hot tub, even when raining. hot tub cover would be a great idea to save us and towels getting wet! decking gets very slippy if its raining. Will definitely be back, great base to explore the area!
Rhianwen is a beautiful barn conversion in a stunning rural setting. The owners are very attentive and answered all queries we had very quickly. We were a family of 6 and 1 member of our family had a disability. The barn access catered for disabled users and two of the bedrooms. The bedroom with wet room could do with a grab rail in the shower and a dressing table for sitting whilst getting ready. The owner brought down a high backed chair to add to the lounge seating for my Mum and I was very thankful as the sofas are very low. The beds are super comfy and all of us agreed on this. We had a few issues with mice being noisy at night in the attic but the owners acted upon this the very next day. The hot tub is a bonus but our girls were disappointed by the games room as it's more like a garage and they didn't feel comfortable spending time in it but the men of the family enjoyed a game of darts. Overall, I would highly recommend the barn as we had a very relaxing break.
Amazing setting, so peaceful great if you want a chilled out holiday. Loved the hot tub great for star gazing. The barn was fully equipped and felt like home from home. Nice welcome touch of biscuits, eggs and milk. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you to Lowri and Gwyn for a wonderful stay,
Joanne
Beautiful holiday home. Spacious with excellent facilities. We loved it & Id recommend it.
Stunning location and excellent for walking and relaxing, and very dog friendly. it's ashame we never got to meet the owners

Andrea
Beautiful setting, spotlessly clean, had a fabulous 3 day break and came away actually feeling relaxed and refreshed. Hot tub was a great hit at the end of the day for everyone
Nicola
Our second time at Rhianwen, it is so chilled there. Spotlessly clean, some fab new additions eg the outdoor sofa, outdoor blankets and firepit on the Sunrise terrace didn't get enough opportunity to use it as we were unlucky with the weather but took every opportunity we had! The more spacious games room was excellent, the kids just loved it. The huge hot tub under the moon and stars, always a winner, so relaxing! Beautiful walks from the door when the weather allowed and fabulous local foodie experiences. A refreshing break, thank you so much. We will be back.
Melanie
This is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The beds were so comfy. the facilities are excellent and the Hot Tub is great too especially at night with all those stars. Lowri is great too makes you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble perfect. We will definitely be back.
This is our favourite place to book. The location, accommodation and sheer tranquility of the barn compares to nothing else. We traveled with family the 3 bedrooms all ensuite makes this place heaven to share. Before arriving we had pre planned all our days out but ending up enjoying board games around the table and evenings in the hot tub. Just wish we could pick this place up and plonk it in other parts of the UK!! We have already booked our 2022 stay.
Pravin
The property was beautiful as was the location. It had everything you could need and we didnt want to leave.
