What a stunning cottage, inside and out. Just returned back from a visit to Vale Cottage and it was fantastic. The facilities were exactly as stated, and pictures shown, the location was easy to find, but the views were simply beautiful. Would recommend to anyone, well definitely be back with the family.

This was the best dog friendly place I have stayed. The hot tub and views are the best and with two dogs we had plenty of space. I will definitely be back as the location was perfect for our Forest walks. Thank you for such a wonderful welcome with the bubbles and chocolate.

Vale Cottage was fantastic. Great countryside views with recently installed hot tub. We visited Durham (20mins) and Newcastle (50mins) for sightseeing and used as a base for the Great North run. Lovely little cottage, great size and layout with everything you need for a getaway into the countryside! Lovely walks from the location and good location to explore the east Pennines and then to Seaham beach! The hot tub was amazing, looking out of the rolling fields was so relaxing! The welcome hamper was a perfect extra touch!

The cottage is set in beautiful countryside and is very well appointed in terms of equipment and the external area with a hot tub and a BBQ for al fresco eating. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Vale Cottage is a very comfortable home from home, with super sun sets to watch from the newly installed hot tub. It has an abundance of wild life to observe and is so peaceful, yet within easy reach of the coast, Durham, Newcastle, Beamish. On a very rainy day we visited the Bowes Museum and in slightly less rain, the Royal Navy dockyard in HartleRead morepool, all well worth seeing. Hide

Beautiful accommodation inside and stunning views outside from the patio and BBQ area, Vale Cottage was the perfect place to relax with family. Lovely open plan living space for socialising, kitchen well equipped if you did want to cook, 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms all spotlessly clean.
