Blue Plain Dairy Reviews

Andrea
A wonderful location and a well equipped cottage. The owners are friendly and informative and sort out any issues straight away. Highly recommend this cottage and location so peaceful and relaxing but lots to do on the doorstep if you want
Jane
Would absolutely recommend this cottage. Very well appointed, super comfortable and spotlessly clean ... all that and a great hot tub too! Location was excellent as well. Only wished we could have stayed longer.
Mandy
This cottage is a gem. From the moment we arrived you felt the stress and strains of hectic life disappear. The views are simply stunning. Sitting outside with a morning coffee or an evening beer and listening to birdsong, watching rabbits hopping around and being visited by the odd duck or two, was bliss. Inside the cottage is warm, welcoming, cleRead morean and extremely comfortable. Relaxing in the private hot tub at the end of the day was heavenly. Fantastically situated to enjoy Nidderdale. Hide
Robert
Excellent cottage, very quiet. A very good welcome pack and personal visit from the owner on arrival. A great location with everything you need.
Lani
Absolutely breathtaking views, close to town and beautiful walking paths out the door. The home was perfect. Clean, plenty of space for the 4 of us, a well equipped kitchen for cooking with all pots, pans, etc owners were accessible if needed but didnt need a single thing. It was lovely.
Sarah
Beautiful cottage, great location, friendly hosts.
Julie
Peaceful quiet location. Well equipped comfortable cottage with everything you need. Loved the hot tub especially after a long walk. We will definitely return.
Sue
An attractively-furnished, comfortable and well-equipped cottage, which is ideally-placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales but still feels away from it all. One of the nicest places we've stayed in many years of self-catering holidays. Friendly, helpful owner and a lovely welcome pack too - many thanks.
Clare
Very well presented and equipped property. Welcome basket and cleanliness on arrival much appreciated.
Amy
Loved our recent stay here. Such a lovely location and we enjoyed the daily morning visits of the bunnies and ducks. The kitchen is so well equipped with everything you could possibly need which was brilliant. Comfy, clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the weather didn't allow for too much star gazing or bbqing but we did enjoy the evening hot tub after a day exploring the Yorkshire sights. The outside area is lovely with its festive lighting. Nice garden to sit in and listen to the trickling stream
Andrew
A wonderful cottage, in an excellent location. We have returned 3 times to this favourite place to escape and relax. The property is fully equipped and there are lovely views, which can even be enjoyed from the hot tube! We will definitely return again.
Helen
Very good stay, lovely hosts, great countryside setting
Ann
First class property, spotlessly clean and the owners have thought of everything you would need for a self-catering holiday.
Debbie
We had a fantastic time in this cottage especially the hot tub & the welcome basket was a very nice touch. The host visited soon after we arrived and welcomed us to the the cottage and gave some insights on where to eat locally. The cottage was very clean and modern and felt homely from the very first night. The location was amazing and we sat out most nights just watching rabbits and ducks in the surrounding area.
Andrew
Fabulous cottage, lovely and clean. Met the host on the first day who was really friendly and helpful. About a mile away from Pateley Bridge, but a lovely walk (downhill ) through the village of Glasshouses. Lots of places near by to eat and have a tipple. We would absolutely recommend and stay again!!
Kerry
A beautiful place to stay! Blue Plain Dairy is stunning, tastefully decorated and was spotlessly clean. We even had a welcome party of ducklings to great is arrival! The location was ideal for us exploring Nidderdale, a 5 min drive from Paterley Bridge where you could all your groceries and eat out. The owners were discrete and friendly and it was nice to watch the goings on around their small holding. There was everything we needed in the cottage. A perfect relaxing stay - would recommend!
Pauline
The cottage exceeded our expectations on every level. Despite the owners being on holiday themselves they thoughtfully left a welcome basket of goodies plus a personal handwritten welcome letter with emergency contact numbers etc., The cottage was situated was situated on a farm as the name suggests, very quiet with beautiful views over the valley. The interior was very well fitted out with good quality fittings and furnishings plus lots of little extras that we didnt expect.
Eileen
This is a fabulous holiday letting. Beautifully decorated and tastefully designed. Very well equipped. Big and spacious inside with patio facilities front and back. The owners were so helpful and friendly too. The views are fantastic with lots of local walks. We had a brilliant welcome hamper together with fresh farm eggs, milk plus tea/coffee etc. Lovely hot tub too. Excellent - we will be back!
Nicola
The cottage is beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped. The views from the windows are gorgeous and even though the cottage is on a farm, its so quiet. Theres plenty of wildlife for the enthusiasts too. The hot tub is a welcome relief after returning from one of the many walks Nidderdale has to offer.
Lucy
Beautiful location and cottage. We had a lovely stay.
Elizabeth
Lovely little cottage situated on a small holding, owners live next door but were very friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Beautiful scenery on doorstep with an abundance of wildlife(dont forget your binoculars!) very well equipped kitchen with a large fridge and decent sized freezer. Comfortable beds and good shower in on suite room. Hot tub clean and well maintained. Made use of Netflix for the rainy nights we had. Will definitely be returning. Lots to do/see in surrounding area.
Janet
2 Bedrooms, 1 very small only suitable for children due to lack of headroom and no clothes hanging facility, in fact nowhere to put your clothes worn that day when getting ready for bed.
Erminia
What a lovely barn conversion, every little detail has been thought of. We loved the welcome hamper and fresh eggs, nice touch. Spotless throughout, lovely private hot tub. A great base to explore local areas and breathtaking views from every window and the patio garden. You wont be disappointed if you book a holiday here.
Helen
This was the most beautiful, cosy cottage. They had thought about everything you might need including wood for the outdoor fire to teabags and milk inside. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. We had a fantastic stay and would happily return for another holiday.
Andrew
Superb and faultless. I've had a number of UK self catering stays since 2020 and this was the best. They'd made a great effort to be immaculately clean, the provision of crockery etc was just right, amazing location and the owners were thoroughly friendly and helpful with local knowledge. And let's not forget the all-important dealbreaker - the wel come hamper- the most generous I've seen. Plus the chance to feed the resident pigs and eat eggs freshly laid by their hens. Highly recommended.
Andrew
This is our second visit to The Dairy. , again we had a very relaxing holiday. Great location, the cottage is very comfortable and the sun shone. We hope to return again and highly recommend. .
Caroline
Absolutely beautiful cottage. We loved everything about it. Super clean, warm, comfortable and we loved feeding the pigs! The hosts are lovely, and the welcome hamper was very special.
Victoria
Really lovely cottage with hot tub. Cottage is a in a good location with a short walk to Pateley bridge with lots of tea rooms or pubs, or close driving distance to lots of different locations around the area. Welcome hamper was a lovely treat to the stay. Would happily book again in the future.
