This stunning cottage sits within immaculate grounds in the village of Loversall, just outside of Doncaster. Perfectly situated for accessing the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Potteric Carr Nature Reserve and Doncaster Racecourse, Garden Cottage provides a beautiful escape for up to eight guests and their canine companions.
After a day of meandering the countryside, look forward to curling up in the lounge, complete with two large settees opposite a woodburner and TV, creating a homely ambiance for unwinding. Follow the stone flooring to the spacious country kitchen, complete with an AGA cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and a handy utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, before congregating around the dining table to tuck into a hearty meal.
Step out to the large garden for a soak in the hot tub, before relaxing on the patio furniture or in the summer house. Wander further around acres of grounds and discover farmland with sheep and alpacas, possible to feed on request, whilst there are parts that overlook the beautiful St.
Katherine’s Church. Back inside, there are four neatly presented bedrooms to choose from; on the ground-floor there is a double with en-suite basin and WC, perfect for those with limited mobility, whilst upstairs offers three superb bedrooms, including a super-king-size with en-suite shower, a double and a twin, complemented with wardrobe space and exposed beams.
Serving the bedrooms is the family bathroom, offering a sumptuous roll-top bath where you can soak away after a day of walking. Within a few miles lies the owner’s Annabel’s Café, where you can pop in halfway round a walk or cycle and enjoy a cup of tea and bite to eat.
There’s a local convenience store nearby and an excellent pub in Wadworth, The White Hart, where you can treat the group to some traditional pub fare, whilst further amenities lie in both Tickhill and Bawtry, along with Tickhill Castle, ideal for exploring, and Bawtry Hall wedding venue, making the cottage an ideal base for guests. For family days out, head to Yorkshire Wildlife Park where you can see over 500 animals across 100 species, including a fascinating Dinosaur exhibit, or head to the Potter Carr Nature Reserve and explore this wild oasis, with a range of wetland birds and vast fenland.
