King's Cottage Reviews

Beautiful cottage with all we needed for our stay.
Tracey
What a gem! Well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Decor was very tasteful too. Linen and towels were of good quality. A lovely welcome pack awaited us with essential supplies. Hot tub was amazing! Ideal location. Would definitely recommend.
Another lovely stay but this time in the 4 bed accommodation Everything we needed to enjoy a quiet break. Thanks for the welcome pack always thoughtful items. Loved the hot tub as always. Lovely afternoon in Richmond and a brisk walk.
Ashley
Lovely cottage with great facilities, tried to contact the numbers provided several times reference an issue on entry but no answer. Also needs to be clearer about parking on the advert as there isnt a space per property as stated. But they are very minor issues for what is a fantastic place. Thankyou.

Had an amazing stay. Lovely and clean and the food hamper was such a nice gesture. Enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Will definitely be recommending Kings cottage to all my friends and family. Vanessa

Beautiful and clean property. We really enjoyed our stay. Great and prompt contact, we had an issue with the microwave and as we needed it for our babies bottles Hayley has sorted us out very promptly. Absolutely recommend it
The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival. They was a nice welcome pack also. The hot tub is a lovely feature and was well used by us. The cottage is in a nice area to explore. All in all we enjoyed our break and wish it had been longer in duration. Would highly recommend.
We had a fantastic stay at Kings Cottage, visiting with our 4 month old baby. The cottage had everything we needed, comfortable beds and the hot tub was great. We had a lovely walk from the cottage along the local bridleways, and visited Thorp Perrow, Big Sheep Little Cow and Fountains Abbey.
Stayed at cottage last year, still an excellent holiday venue, really clean & tidy with excellent facilities, hot tub really good & plenty of things to do around the area, lovely walking and magnificent views, would recommend this cottage for your stay, looking forward to returning later in year.
Beautifully prepared propertry with welcome basket milk, bacon, biscuits etc. . No problem unpacking packing the car in dry conditions. Lack of dry food storage cupboards disappointing.Visiting maintenance engineer and groundstaff all very friendly and helpful. Rear exit door subject to serious difficulty on opening closing due to weather causing swelling of door door frame. H&S Spa Bath was excellent and well maintained, a great feature when booking. Parking was often a serious concern when leaving the property, we were dependent in part on passing motorists occasionally slowing down stopping to allow us safe exit on to the downward slopebend. Traffic tended to be fast flowing most of the time. Greatly appreciated the help and assistance of the visiting groundsman who stopped the traffic both ways for us as we departed on the final day of our stay. Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would certainly consider a return booking.
The only thing this cottage is missing is kitchen cupboard space for you own dry goods. This could be easily sorted by putting a larder cupboard in on back wall, other than that a lovely spacious place to stay .

Loved staying in Kings Cottage with my husband and daughter. Very much appreciated the welcome pack. Only one slight grumble, there was a car already parked when we arrived which made it tricky for us to drive in and out, We did read the info which explained the parking and understood it might be tricky. It did not spoil our stay though, Thank you so much
Sophie
We had a wonderful stay at Kings Cottage and will be definitely back to stay again next year! Only thing we would appreciate is a washing up sponge for cleaning pans etc that cant fit in the dishwasher but other than that, excellent facilities and very much appreciated the welcome package.
Lovely cosy cottage with a fab garden and hot tub. Clean and well resourced. Welcome hamper was a nice touch. A gorgeous place to stay.

We loved the property! !! Super cozy, a lovely little village and the hot tub to top it all off. Our only even better if would be to have some prosecco glasses! Thank you so much for hosting us, we would not hesitate to return.
Lovely cottage, hot tub excellent. Sofas in front room not comfortable to sit on.The food hamper on arrival was a very nice surprise.

Had a lovely time went for a birthday weekend with my sister. We both enjoyed the cottages and the cottage was beautiful. Definetly would like to return in the future.
Josephine
Lovely home from home. We did struggle to get the right temperature in the bathshower it was either cold or boiling. Other than that we loved our stay, and may well be back soon.
Hello, Really enjoyed our stay last month. Could either use curtains in the kitchen or door reug going into kitchen, as with all that window space which is nice, cold does get in..and when very cold heating and log burner not quite sufficiant to heat the ground floor...Also outsdie front door light was not working when we were there.. Thank you Peter and Yvie
From booking to the end the owners were amazing and fulfilled all requests. It was my partner's 30th so I asked if they could collect some balloons I had purchased from a local shop and decorate the cottage to which they did. They went truly above and beyond and the cottage is beautiful set in a little town away from it all. This was truly the perfect getaway. Thank you again
Cheryl
This is a lovely homely cottage which is well maintained with a lovely hot tub. This is the second time we have stayed and it was just as good this time. The welcome hamper is a lovely touch and is much appreciated. It is so nice we have booked again for next February.
Anastasia
5 star cottage. Amazing host. Absolutely enjoyed our break
Louise
Absolutely loved our stay here. Property exactly as per listing. Spotlessly clean.
Michelle
Stayed for 4 nights over New Year. Cottage was clean and welcoming with festive decorations making it feel homely. The hot tub was the reason we booked Kings Cottage and it made our stay even more enjoyable. Some mention the parking space and parking off the main road but we didn't find it problematic. Definatly would stay again without hesitation.
Please fix the toilet door. The door cannot be locked, but it cannot be shut either! Each guest had to notify the other guests that they were going to the toilet every time in order to avoid someone walking in whilst the toiled was being used. We then had to put something behind the toilet door to prevent the door from opening itself. There was supposed to be one parking space for the kings cottage, but there were two vehicles presumably belonging to other guests parked there all the time. We did not quite know what to do about this. Im not saying that this was your fault either but I wanted to mention it. Perhaps the signage can be improved to prevent other guests from taking the reserved spaces.
Property is cosy, well equipped, full of character and so comfortable. Great location for exploring Yorkshire.
We had a lovely stay at the kings cottage. The cottage it's self was beautiful and immaculately clean with everything you needed. The food hamper was a lovely touch and logfire made the dark nights very cosy. The local Village had everything you needed. We ate at some lovely places. We would highly recommend The bay Horse Inn, which is ran by a lovely couple who couldn't do enough for you. The Sunday dinner was amazing. We would definitely rebook this accommodation again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Georgeous cottage in great location. Very cosy and loved the hot tub. Washing machine was the only facility missing!
Joanne
Had a fabulous stay in the cottage. Very homely and comfortable. The welcome pack was a nice thought. Loved the log burner and hot tub, which was very private, in a well kept garden. Situated in a lovely village, which we took a few walks around before supper. Had a meal in the village pub, which was very nice, and the landlord was very friendly. Hope to book again soon.
Samantha
Was a stunning cottage hot tub was hidden so felt comfortable going in. Food hamper was a lovely touch.. only issue was the fridge. The shelf in the door was faulty which we didn't notice until it completely fell off with our items in it.
Claire
Our second time here this year and couldn't fault it. Spotlessly clean, beds and bedding super comfy and luxurious and the cottage is in a good central location for the dales and the moors. Would highly recommend and we will hopefully be back next year.
Left feed back in the cottage book. Overall satisfied.
Weve stayed at this cottage four times winter and summer we love it its so well looked after
This is a cosy and secluded cottage perhaps more suited to two rather than four adults. Comfortable especially the king bed. Kitchen well equipped but the hob and oven are a little tricky to get used to. The worst feature about the property is the car parking. The schematic map supplied with joining instructions is no help. Access is primarily by reversing off the main road and is at best tricky. If you can cope with that you should enjoy your stay. We certainly did.
Well equipped comfy cottage. Had everything we needed for a fab stay. Loved the privacy of the place & the hot tub! We had a lovely relaxing break

Beautiful cottage situated in a lovely village green. Hot tub was the best we have had and the hamper left for our arrival was a much appreciated gift. So much care and attention has been put into Kings Cottage, really felt like a home away from home. We kept the bird feeder stocked and had many visitors during our stay. There are an array of places to visit and things to see and do, the locals in the pub a few doors down were very inviting and we had a good natter and enjoyed some excellent food. It was a fab week away and we are sure to return.
Shania
We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the location. It was a beautiful area and had a lot close by to visit. We appreciated that so much was supplied already for our stay and liked that we could have a fire indoors. The hot tub was amazing to use.
