The Mill Store Reviews

Kathleen
Great position, with wonderful views. Well appointed building and whilst amongst others, you are not bothered by anyone. Wiuld definitely recommend for a short break.
Pieter
Great location cottage was very clean. Cant fault it hot tub was great.
Graham
The location of this cottage is lovely and made a really good base to explore the area. The cottage itself is nice and cosy and feels fitted out to a good standard. My only gripe was the shower and toilet are open plan, so there's no door on the loo and the bed is only a few feet away. And the loo is behind the shower, so if the shower has been useRead mored you'll cross a wet floor to get to the loo. Plus, once you're in, it's a very narrow space. Enjoyed our stay overall but loo needs a rethink. Hide

Donna
Beautiful place to stay, was great break for the 2 of us but would also be amazing if a group of family or friends wanted a break or a wedding would be amazing. Would def go back xx
Chelsea

Judith
Excellent location. Beautiful cottage. Highly recommended
Nikki
A lovely little cottage, clean, and nicely furnished, in a very peaceful location. The hot tub was a lovely addition, and the walk in shower was great. The bed was very comfortable and the only noise in the morning is the sound of birds singing. The bathroom sink was a little small, which made teeth brushing a bit difficult without soaking the floo r. It's very close Richmond, a little market town with some nice little walks and interesting sites, and not for to Barnard Castle.
Holly
Wow what an amazing place to stay! We came for a long weekend in January and it was simply beautiful. So clean and cozy, the underfloor heating was a huge bonus and made the place feel so warm. The hot tub was lovely, very clean and well kept with a beautiful view. Honestly, no complaints, i thought it was amazing!!
Samantha

Edward
Lovely location and accommodation, perfect for a short break.
Magda
Great view from the cottage and the hot tub. Lovely shower inside. A bit small but cosy. Very nice and considerate staff who moved us to a cottage that was a bit more out of the way so we wouldn't be disturbed by the wedding that was going on.
Nadine
A beautiful location, a lovely cottage equipped with all we could need. The hot tub is such a wonderful addition and allowed for some serious relaxation at the end of the day.
Cheryl
I booked this room as I thought the hot tub was more private and yes it is just ours during the stay but its quite open n ppl can walk past. Another thing is the wet room shower, if youre picking this room then definitely take two pair of sliders because if you shower, get dry n then need to use the toilet ,as the floor doesnt dry quickly, you have to pass the shower/wet room to use the loo and your feet are wet again. Lovely place and views. Would go again but Id pick a different room.

Big Sheep - EX39 5AP
about 12 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 18 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY
about 23 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
