We had an amazing time staying in this lovely spot in the middle of rural Devon. There’s so much to explore nearbyand we definitely recommend popping into the village pub for some west country tapas - yum! The house itself was a great size, super comfyand beautifully equipped. It was so peaceful too, you really don’t need anything more. Our host was lovely and incredibly helpful, sharing loads of info beforehand that made planning our trip much easier. The garden’s super peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. It’s in a great spot in Devon, with beaches about 30 mins away by car. You definitely need a car to explore properly. We stayed here for four nights with our Labrador, escaping the stresses of recent health issues. The lodge truly exceeded our expectations - it’s the nicest place we’ve ever rented. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogand the hot tub was just what we needed to unwind. Hazel and Stephen were lovely and really went out of their way to help us with some hiccups, which we appreciated. Just a heads up, you'd need a car to get to nearby walks and pubsand the roads have quite a few potholes. Overall, a fantastic stay and we’d definitely come back!

This lodge is absolutely beautiful and sits in such a wonderful location! It’s nice and secluded, plus it’s got everything you need and even more. We were so pleased to find a lovely welcome basket waiting for us, complete with cream tea for two and a freshly baked loaf from the excellent hosts Hazel and Stephen. Being on the border of Devon and Cornwall means you really get the best of both worlds. And the luxurious hot tub is just perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the fabulous countryside and coast. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for more, didn’t want to leaveand would love to come back again!
James
The lodge was really clean and had everything we needed. Hazel was the perfect host, bringing over a lovely basket of goodies and freshly baked bread when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. The lodge is in a great location for exploring Devon and Cornwall. We drove between 30 and 90 minutes to various beaches and townsand definitely recommend checking out Woolacombe Bay and Clovelly, as well as the beaches in Bude. Lastly, the hot tub was just great; we thoroughly enjoyed it after a long day out!
James
We had a lovely time at this little lodge on the owner's site, especially enjoying the great hot tub! We felt like we could just get on with our own stuff, which was nice. The mattress, though, wasn’t the most comfortable for us. The price is quite competitive, but honestly, we think everything in the UK can be a bit pricey. The location is alright but feels a bit remote, being a 30-minute drive to anywhere interesting. Just a heads up, Devon and Cornwall seem to be in a different time zone from the rest of the country, especially coming from Birmingham where everything is always open. We recommend checking out the Highwayman in Sourton for a bit of quirkiness!
Lisa
Becks Meadow Lodge was just right for our week away with our two retrievers. The property has everything you could possibly think of, plus some things you didn't even realise you'd need! Hazel and Stephen were fantastic hosts—nothing was too much trouble for them. Hazel provided loads of local tips before we arrived. When we got there, we were welcomed with a lovely basket that included homemade breadand then she took the time to show us around the lodge and explained everything we should know. We would definitely recommend it!
Laura

The hot tub was the icing on the cake after long walks in the countryside and on the beaches. The owners were super helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The lodge is fully enclosed and dog friendly, so we would highly recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be back here!
Oliver
What a beautifully laid out lodge! It had everything we neededand the hot tub was warm and ready when we arrived. All the facilities were newand everything was perfect. There were logs and kindling for the wood burner, plus freshly baked bread, scones, clotted creamand jams to kick off our holiday in style. The towels, shampoos, conditionersand creams were all of really good quality. They even provided hot tub towels and slippers! The location was ideal, nestled in a quiet, peaceful setting. And the fully enclosed lodge was perfect for our dog.
