Greenbank Reviews

Jessica
Perfect location and property. Very thoughtfully equipped with a generous welcome package of essentials for when we arrived. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful, well equipped holiday home, we had a great stay as a family of six adults. Owners really responsive sorting out a heating issue with an emergency appt arranged on same day. Thoroughly recommend, would definitely stay again.
This may be for Sykes not the owner I asked if I could park at the property before 5. 0 as we arrived at 2.0 pm I was refused when we did get in you can park eight cars in the driveway. I am not booking Sykes again until you change this policy of arriving at 5.0 and leave by 9.0 which started after Covid! Other agencies have much better times!
This is a lovely holiday home and much thought has gone into making it attractive. The decor is well thought out and furniture is good quality with comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped with a good range of crockery etc. Some extra cutlery and some small sturdy wine glasses may be useful. The views from the terrace are stunning although the weather held us back from really enjoying the seating area. The hot tub was popular too. However the many instructions around the property are a little off putting.
Although we had a great holiday, there were several improvements that could be made. Better lighting in the lounge, making a little cosier as its quite sterile. The pressure on the dos and don'ts restricting how you adapted furniture and items to make your stay more comfortable. The pizza oven should have some short instruction as we were unable to get the oven up to temperature. These are all things that are small enough to fix and should improve people enjoyment of the property. Just to reiterate it was a very nice property excellent hot tub and we had a good holiday, these things could help make it great.
Absolutely stunning property, spotlessly clean and equipped to a high standard. Fantastic views over Woolacombe from the superb deck and outside living areas. Brilliant location, only a 5 minute walk to the town and beaches. Great communications with the housekeeping team who gave us the opportunity to access the property nearly two hours earlier than advertised. We had a wonderful holiday, so much so weve booked the property for 2 weeks again next year!

We had an amazing time at Greenbank. The property description was entirely accurate so we were prepared for the check inout times, stairs and the garden not being fully enclosed. The house was immaculately clean, beds super comfy and the welcome pack useful although coffee sachets were slightly out of date still perfectly drinkable though. The location was great for the beach and shopscafes and there was more than enough space for our cars, as well as the online delivery vehicle! The EVC was a real bonus and the hot tub superb. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and appreciated the beach toys left for our use. The garden has been beautifully landscaped with a variety of social spaces so always somewhere in the sun or shade, the view is wonderful and we even enjoyed watching a local football match from the terrace! I cannot rate this place highly enough. Of course, there were a few things we might have added but all would be personal to us and not necessarily of use to others. We were lucky insofar as the previous guests had left on the Friday so the property was available early for us on the Saturday this was communicated in good time and was an unexpected bonus. Had this not happened, there is enough in Woolacombe to do. My main gripe was that we hadn't booked another week!
Beautiful holiday home you couldn't fault. The check in time is such a shame, it is so late 5pm practically the day is gone. We couldn't use the hot tub because not warm enough on the first night. Check out time 9am is ridiculous, especially when one has to do so much cleaning before one leaves we couldn't even have breakfast because so much cleaning was required. You sound share this information when booking rather than after you have paid! We also requested ballons and was told a supplier was available, however the ballons had already deflating by the time we got there and deflated the next day. The cost was 120, which was a lot money, very upsetting and the supplier refuse a refund.

Greenbank was the perfect house in every aspect. It had everything we needed, the standard of cleanliness was excellent and the host was happy to answer any questions queries during our stay. The online description of the house was accurate, which would be important for those with mobility issues looking for a holiday home there are lots of steps. However, this was not an issue for us. We are already looking at dates for our next stay.
Great house, fabulous location with stunning views of the bay. The hot tub was an added luxury. The host Ethan was very helpful recommending a local garage as we had problems with our car and ensuring everything was ok in the property.
Charles
We had a lovely time, and spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and a nearly new home. Very comfy beds, efficient heating, and lovely for our Christmas. Couldnt really fault it. Only couple of suggestions would be to have some basic cleaning products multi purpose, a hand rail for the outside steps as they are steep, and larger towelsbath sheets although wed brought our own having read previous reviews. Nice and thoughtful to have a welcome pack too but milk was sadly out of date! Honestly though, we couldnt really fault it. Ethan was great with providing pre information too. Thank you.
Elizabeth
Everything in the house was great, we did not want for anything. The only criticism we had was the very late check in at 5pm, as we came from 2 3 hours away we arrived and unpacked in the dark. Then an early check out at 9am, we asked if we could leave two cars on the drive after checkout while we went for breakfast, but we were refused.
Siobhan
This property is totally amazing its truly stunning location. The fixtures and fittings are all top quality I just don't have enough words to say how truly amazing this property is. The beds are so comfy so much space in the house. Everything you need. The hot tub with the views topped it for me just loved it. Can't wait to return.
Beautiful home, with a million dollar view, had such a lovey family holiday, will definitely come back !
Lovely maintained house, great facilities, Unfortunately we had terrible weather so didnt make use of the hot tub. There are a lot of steps. The outside space is lovely but it is overlooking the road and is not secure for dogs. We bought a dog pen off Amazon to keep them in. The rubbish was annoyingly, 5 different bins. Bath towels provided were tiny. Lovely views of the bay from the house.
Mellanie
The house was beautiful with an amazing outlook, and only a short 10 minute walk into Woolacombe itself. Well equipped, comfortable and spacious , with the outdoor space, and storage for surfbeach items, being extremely well thought out. The communication beforehand was clear and straightforward. The only comment would be that the instructions for departure were a little overbearing. However, we are generally tidy and I appreciate that not everyone may look after this lovely property in the same way, if not instructed to do so. A gentler tone may be more effective though.
I completely agree with the other reviews in that the house is an amazing property to stay with unmatched views in any cottage i have stayed in previously. Around 510 minute walk and you are on the beach in Woolacombe which was great too. The house was extremeley well presented, maintained and confortable throughout with everything you need provided although we had our own bodyboards there was even spare ones in the outside shed. There was a problem outside of the owners control while we were there with roadworks blocking the driveway and the water being turned off but our contact and the owner were dealth with this professsionally and generously! As with a previous review I would also suggest toning down some of the posters, which is in your face as soon as you arrive and some text in the information booklet as some of it was a little over bearing, Again, as the previous review that mentioned this we always leave cottage spotless anyway so guessing from the tone maybe this is not always the case
Had a really lovely time, the property was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and amazing views. Only a short walk down the hill into the centre of woolacombe. Lovely outdoor heated shower to use before going in the lovely hot tub. It has everything you need, home from home. Would definitely stay again.
