Old Spot Reviews

Thomas
Nice location, cottage had everything we needed.
Josh
The cabin was excellent, in a quiet and comfy setting! The onsite pub was also great and the food was great.
TONY
The cottage was lovely with everything we needed and the outdoor decking area was great, nice and private and shielded from any winds plus a good gas BBQ and the hot tub was lovely and well used. The location is great, nice and peaceful but only short drives to either Westward Ho or Bideford.
Emily
We had a lovely stay at Old Spot. The lodge is very clean and well equipped. Our only complaints were the wifi was very weak and the outdoor bin store was not well signposted. If taking a dog, please be aware the grassy area (for toilet time!) is not enclosed, it is only the decking which is enclosed. However this was not a problem for us as the pu b has shut down and so there were not many cars around.
Rachel
Old spot was wonderful. Peaceful location, spotless inside and out. The hot tub was fab.
Julie
We had a wonderful bank holiday weekend enjoying all the fun of Westward Ho! including mini golf, huge ice cream sundaes, exploring rockpools, before relaxing in the lovely sunken hot tub. This was our second visit and we had a fantastic time. The cottage is private, well equipped and perfect for quality time together
Siobhan

Corinna

We had a fantastic stay in Old Spot recently. The location is perfect for a quick drive into Westward Ho! Or Bideford. The communication before arrival was great and the gift left by the owners for our arrival was a lovely added touch. I wouldnt think twice about booking here again and I am sure well be back next year.
Andrew
Nice idea & location BUT only if the Pig on the hill pub is open & not shut at short notice! We got a phone call informing us that they would be shutting the pub 2/3 weeks before our holiday! Too late to cancel & find alternative accommodation. A cab into town & home 17 round trip add that on to eating out every night! It gets expensive. Not a happ y bunny.
Jordan
A lovely place to stay, very clean and cosy, hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed. The only issues we had was the wifi wasnt the best for using on phones and Netflix on the tv, but overall we were pleased with the accommodation and would stay here again :)
Lesley
Lovely lodge, beautiful and clean. Modern but cosy, wonderful surroundings and views but too out of the way for us as we only stayed 5 nights out of the 7 because of the petrol dramas and as we couldn't get none meant we had to leave early, the lodge is placed to far out to walk so need a car to go everywhere unfortunately. Lovely place but wouldn' t return only on basis too far out for us and long distance drive from where we live, owners very welcoming though so thank you
Claire
We had an amazing holiday at the old spot lodge. Great location and a beautiful place to stay.
