The Olde Chapel School House Reviews

Paul
The cottage was lovely, spacious and full of character. The kids loved the hot tub! The local pub, the Gaggle of Geese was excellent. It had good food and a massive garden with loads to do for kids. It was walkable across fields which can be accessed just yards from the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Gary
Lovely. cottage but location close to road results in a fair bit of road noise lots of thought has gone into provision of equipment, games and there was a lovely hamper on arrival but property wasnt as clean as we would have liked. No wifi during our stay was disappointing.
felicity
we loved our stay in Dorset and the accommodation was lovely. the beds are rather poor quality, very soft indeed. t it would be helpful if clients were made aware that parking is tricky and having to back straight onto the main road. the garden is sweet but very small. luckily there is a wonderful field walk alongside the house.
Kirsten
Lovely accommodation well located for exploring Dorset. Convenient for Dorchester. Covered hot tub overlooking fields, ideal for relaxing and watching the birds.
Michael

Laura

Kay
Good location, especially if you are walking a dog. Lovely hot tub. Property very spacious with a lovely conservatory
Sherrie
The old chapel is beautiful and my 12 and 14year old loved the hot tub! The welcome pack was very thoughtful and was very much appreciated after a long drive!. The Internet was very intermittent but not a big issue as we were there to explore the area, the only issue we had was although it was very warm weather the chapel got very cold first thing in the morning and last thing at night and the heating controls are operated from the owner's adjoining Property
Donna
The old chapel was a lovely place to stay. Its very rural! Great for long dog walks and a pub near by.. Our weather was very unsettled but no control over it! Hot tub was fab and looking out over the countryside.. Very peaceful setting and plenty of birds to be seen.
Kevin
Was lovely rural setting good place to see the local historical places. Close enough to spend time at the beaches. Chapel was nice and wife enjoyed the hot tub
Jackie
A beautiful cottage, comfortable beds and lounge furniture. The jacuzzi was a lovely extra, especially after lots of walking. Close to places of interest. An amazing view from the garden and constant bird song.
Rachel
Absolutely beautiful building with a lovely peaceful feel. Our little boy (1 year) loved the space and it really has brought on his walking, the toys and books were a really thoughtful extra. Our old dog loved laying in front of the log burner and joining us all on our family walkabouts, of which there was many to explore locally. Friendly and appr oachable owners there if you needed anything but who also left you to enjoy the privacy. Recommended.
Mark
Everything we could have wished for and more. Fabulous place peaceful spent evenings in the hot tub relaxing. We would definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Martin Andrew
The Chapel has been converted into a beautiful home, it welcomed us and felt like a warm hug throughout our stay. The fields behind the property were perfect for walking our one year old jack russell, and we all enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi after a busy day exploring Dorset. Well recommended by our whole family.
matthew
Fantastic cool lounge and dining area ideal in the heat wave. Sunlight through the stained glass windows is sublime. Small but wonderfully equipped kitchen with lovely welcome touches. Brilliant base to visit Dorset and Somerset attractions. Local pub in walking distance through fields and country lane. Owners super helpful too. Highly recommended.
Brenda
The cottage was lovely, Maria and her husband really helpful. The area is stunning. Comfortable beds, kitchen had everything. Loved our welcome pack. Just what we needed after Covid..relaxing in the hot tub. Views over the fields.

Kate
Fabulous stay! The most perfect setting in a beautiful location. Very kind and helpful hosts who left some lovely treats for us, for the kids and our little doggies! Accommodation was very comfortable and all the little touches were very well received. Hot tub was delightful with a beautiful view so the perfect spot for a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing. 100% recommend! Kate x
Sue
A beautifully converted property, comfort and quirky. It is on a busy road but once inside the traffic noise is low. Because of the sleeping arrangements we feel this property is more suited to two adults and two (possibly 3) older children. The kitchen is tiny and we missed not having a fridge/freezer (an ice box isnt the same!). The welcome pack was not very welcoming but who cares! The hot tub is fabulous, with fantastic views. Wi-fi signal poor in parts of the house.
Allan
