Barncroft Gidlands Farm Reviews

Emma
We had a lovely stay, the place was peaceful and perfect for relaxing evenings. The owner was really helpful and sorted out a minor issue with the jacuzzi quickly. Definitely good value for money, we'd come back again!
Sam
Great location, but the decor's a bit worn out now.
Emma
We had such a lovely stay at this barn conversion! The views are absolutely stunningand it’s super peaceful. The beds were comfyand the shower worked like a dream. The owners are really friendly and happy to help if you need anything. Perfect for a quiet getaway. There are lots of walks nearbyand it’s not far from the coast either. We’d definitely come back!
Emma
We enjoyed our stay overall. The cottage was a bit petite, but since it was just us and Roger, it worked fine. Plenty of fields nearby for walking Roger, which he loved. The weather wasn’t great, typical England, but the hot tub was a real bonus to warm up! Would stay again.
Emma
We loved this cosy cottage nestled in such a stunning spot. Plenty of peaceful walks nearbyand a few charming pubs within strolling distance. The night sky was breathtaking, especially when unwinding in the hot tub. Definitely planning to come back again someday. Truly a lovely getaway!
Alex
Upon arrival, we noticed it was quite dusty, needing a quick clean. There was also some dirt and crisp packets on the floor and beside the bed.
Emma
Absolutely loved it, peaceful vibe, stunning scenery, hot tub was perfect.
Emma
This place was cosy, really cleanand the hot tub was just brilliant fun!
Laura
We really enjoyed our stay here. The scenery was stunning and it was so peaceful, exactly what we needed to escape the hustle. Be aware you’ll need a car to explore around, but honestly, we’d definitely stay again. It’s a lovely spot if you’re after a quiet getaway. Totally recommend!

We really enjoyed our time at Barncroft! The location is fantastic, with plenty of interesting spots nearby. The town has both Asda and Waitroseand a bit further out, Lidl - so shopping's pretty convenient. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit chilly for us to sit at the picnic table with those lovely views of the Vale of Taunton. The meal at RumweRead morell farm shop was lovelyand the complimentary wine was a nice touch. Overall, a great stay!
George
We had an amazing time at this lovely cottage! The place is absolutely stunning and the owners were super friendly and helpful, making our stay even better. We're already telling friends about it and can’t wait to return. The only tiny issues were the WiFi being a bit unreliable and the main bedroom mattress being quite firm, but honestly, they’re minor compared to how gorgeous the place is. Definitely a spot we’ll visit again!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay here! The cottage was cosy, with breathtaking scenery. Perfect spot to unwind, especially with the hot tub after a long day.
Emma
We had a lovely time at this charming barn cottage with its high ceilings and peaceful views of the farmland, probably overlooking Quantock Hills. It’s easy to find and perfect for exploring the area, which offers some nice walks and sights. The nearby shops are handyand we’d definitely recommend The Half Moon Inn for a Sunday roast. Our anxious 6-year-old dog felt at homeand the hot tub just topped it off. We’d come back for sure!
Olivia
We loved the stunning location, honestly, it’s hard to beat that view! The property had everything we needed for a comfy stay, but cleanliness was a bit disappointing-dog hair and dust in drawers and under furniture. The hot tub was a bit of a letdown since it couldn’t heat up enough in the cold weather. The bed, being memory foam, didn’t suit us at all, so sleep was pretty restless. If these small issues were sorted, we’d definitely come back. Still, the setting is truly gorgeous!
Emma
What a fantastic spot! The place was cosy and perfect for relaxing, especially with the hot tub under the stars. The hosts were so helpful, making sure we had easy access. We’d definitely come back for more misty dale walks!
Emma
We had such a lovely time! The hosts were really friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The location was breathtaking, perfect for starting birthday festivities. Thanks for a fantastic experience!
Emma
The cottage is stunningand the surrounding views are breathtaking! Hot tub sessions are a real treat, especially with those vast fields for dog walks. Everything’s spotless and well-equipped, we truly enjoyed our stay!
Rachel
Lovely spot
Emily
We would definitely recommend this barn again if you enjoy peace and quiet like we do. It’s near various spots for food and thankfully doesn’t have too many tourists, though it was June, not the schools-out July period. There’s so much space aroundand we absolutely loved it!
Simon
What a lovely cottage in such a scenic setting! The hot tub was fantastic. All the appliances and towels were provided, which made things easy. There were 2 decent sized rooms, one of which had the double bed. We had a really good time. Thanks a lot!
