I celebrated my 30th birthday here with my family and friends. It was absolutely every we could have hoped for. All the bedrooms are big with super comfy beds, and sooo many bathrooms! This is a large house a couple of miles from Brecon, tucked down a narrow lane. The house is well equipped and very comfortable with a large kitchen, dining room and sitting room (with a great wood burner in it). The views of the mountains from the kitchen and back garden are spectacular. If you're not driving, you'll need a taxi or nominated drive r to get you to pubs and restaurants but overall a great place to stay for a large group. We'd certainly stay again.

Inside there is a huge soft play area with a separate area for toddlers as well as ball pools, climbing frames, slides and chutes. The Cannon balls are a big hit with children of all ages. New for 2010 is the Badgers quest interactive maze. Outside there is a play area, large boating lake with paddle boats, nature trails with clues and quizzes and an agility course. At only £29.00 for a family of 4 the park offers outstanding value for money.

Lama Trekking at Old king Street Farm - NP16 6AA

Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available.

Rhondda Heritage Park - CF37 2NP

Rhondda Heritage Park is located at the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery and is a popular attraction with a range of facilities including a visitor centre, an art gallery, a gift shop, and a lovely period re-constructed Village Street. Fully guided tours are available and include multimedia presentations as well as a unique trip underground where visitors will experience the life of a coal miner. The site also boasts a children's play area and an underground experience zone.
