The lodge feels really spacious and fancy, which we loved. It’s close to the Haywain and some nice cafes and walks-super handy. It was spotless too. Only thing was the mattress on the double bed could’ve been firmerand a king size would’ve been perfect! Definitely coming back.

Wow, what a fantastic place to stay! The place was spotlessand we loved how easy it was to relax there. The bi-fold doors were a real game-changer on sunny days, making the space feel even bigger. The beds were super comfyand we appreciated the plentiful towels. The kitchen had everything we neededand soaking in the hot tub while chatting with the family was just perfect. The area is stunning, with the Constable's Haywain just a short walkand miles of coastline to explore. We also enjoyed a lovely trip to Sutton Hoo!

We honestly loved this lodge! It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. The place is immaculate, with every tiny detail thought through. The hosts are super helpful and friendly, which made us feel really welcome. The location is stunning, with beautiful walks right from the doorstep-secluded but not too far from shops and pubs. The hot tub and wood burner just added that extra bit of cosy comfort. We’d definitely recommend it-definitely a 10/10 experience!

The cottage is lovely, really well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Perfect spot for walks, just ten minutes to Flatford where Constable’s Haywain was painted. The hot tub was the cherry on top-such a relaxing treat! We’d definitely return.

about 10 Miles
Colchester Zoo is a fantastic place to visit with something for all the family.  Wander around and see the array of animals in excellent habitats.  Don't forget to visit the Leopards at Ussuri Falls, this new expansion can be located opposte the White Tiger Valley and the Medellin Momkeys.  Other popular areas of the zoo include Tiger Taiga, Chimp World and Wallaby Walkabout.   Look out for special events throughout the year such as Shriek Week on Halloween.  If you book tickets online you can obtain a discount of 10% and are also fast tracked on entry to the zoo - a great idea in the school holidays.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX

This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.

This attraction is currently under construction but we are looking forward to it opening in early 2011.  The philosophy of the Discovery Centre is 'healthy body, healthy mind, healthy planet and aims to change people's attitudes and actions towards our planet.  Educational as well as fun there are plenty of activities such as outdoor sport pitches, cycle and walking trails and indoor activity rooms.  This is a unique attraction for the whole family.
