Kingfisher Reviews

Kerith
We enjoyed our stay and when the electricity went off Liz was so helpful. The fishing was great both carp and one chub. The hot tub was also well used. The cracked tile in the en suite bathroom could do with fixing and perhaps put the cooker manual some where visible and highlight a regular setting. We struggled with it a bit. We had everything we needed though and would recommend and consider coming back.

Wonderful setting , cottages superb , had a great stay as always .
Superb lodge in a beautiful location even better than expected
Stuart
Fantastic place, hope we can plan another visit.
Our second stay at Kingfisher lodge. We had a wonderful relaxing weeks holiday. Caught lots of fish. Sunday lunch at the moody cow was excellent. Steam train ride in the Forest of Dean and lunch at the rising sun was superb. See you again soon.

Fabulous property and fishing!
A fabulous second stay for us at Kingfisher cottage the wonderful weather didn't hurt either!
Fantastic location quiet and peaceful surroundings . Owner very helpful when our car broke down, getting milk etc. Will certainly return one day .
The cottage was fantastic and one of the best equipped we have stayed in. Including things like kitchen towel and washing up liquid was really appreciated. Beds were comfortable and huge, hot tub was great and well maintained and views fantastic. We would definitely come back

Lovely quiet place, lovely friendly owner, lodge in great condition, amenities and city close by, lots to do around, even with kids, hot tub a bonus with a view of the lake, cannot fault it. We loved our stay, thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and warm. The setting was idyllic and peaceful. We were visited by the owner who wanted to ensure that everything was to our needs it was. We will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful tranquil setting perfect to recharge the battery!
Overall good experience. Hot tub was awesome. Maintenance wise chair was broken when we arrived and vertical board beneath dishwasher, sink area came out every time dishwasher was opened and needed to be kicked back in. Maintenance personnel around were friendly and helpful. Quite close quarters for 5 people to stay there sound carries between kitchen and adjacent bedroom easily. Nice to have walks nearby and convenient to other activities. Thank you!
Richard
Great venue and location. Lovely watching all the birds on and around the lake.
The lodge and grounds are absolutely beautiful. Really enjoyed our stay. Men enjoyed the fishing very much. We will certainly be returning again next year. Thank you for an amazing holiday. The little. Touches in the lodge over and above what was expecting was very welcoming
The holiday house is in a beautiful location next to a quiet lake with only 3 other properties on site. Everything was lovely the house is really nice with good showers and comfortable beds. The deck is lovely to sit out and the hot tub is really great. It is only a short drive to RossonWye where there are shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this property.
Beautiful cottage would definitely go back
Arrived back home after a week at the Kingfisher Lodge. What a lovely peaceful place it is. We met the owner and his wife they will go out of there way to help you. We loved everything about it and will be booking again for next year. Thnkyou Jan & John

Good quality cabin. Lakeside setting was great with onsite fishing. Location was fine for us but needed a car to get to any local pubs for a meal as the road was too dangerous to walk down. The rooms and fixtures were of a high standard and our group of 4 adults and one teenage child had plenty of space. I would recommend the cabin as a good base to explore the local area. Ross on Wye is only 10 mins drive and Usk 25 mins drive from the cabin. Only negative was we did ask for a toilet door lock to be repaired on day one but no repair was done during the stay. A bit awkward when sharing with others. Would return again in the future.

A gorgeous wooden cabin in a beautiful location. We saw lots of wildlife and there was plenty to do in the surrounding area. The hot tube was very much enjoyed it is emptied and new water put in before your stay & checked regularly. I would highly recommend this holiday.
Richard
Excellent location and helpful owner. We really enjoyed our stay and the hot tub each evening!
Kenneth
Gate and steps from the raised decking area to the lakeside. Its really annoying having to walk all the way around the property to get to the hot tub and the lake. Knives and forks are quite small. Almost like childrens cutlery. A butter knife would be useful too as the knives are all pointy ones. Apart from that the property was excellent!!
Beautiful lodge with lake views plus ducks, geese & fish tranquil setting amid great countryside

Lovely bright, modern, high standard lodge. Everything we needed for our stay was there. All 3 bedrooms were a decent double size, with good sized wardrobes. Loved the hot tub and decking area. Fishing within stones throw was enjoyed too. Lovely areas to explore in the location we did Ross on Wye, Symonds Yat and Go Ape in the forest 30 minutes away. Did a long weekend stay.Would love to stay there again and explore more.
Lovely comfortable stay. Great location. Thank you!
Kingfisher Lodge was clean, comfy, well equipped and in a lovely setting. Good location for days out.
We had a great 4 night stay at kingfisher. We will definitely be back. We stayed don't he first night during Storm Arwen and lost power the whole county lost power the owners were really supportive they made sure we were OK, they also sourced us a hotel out of the county which we could have stayed in if the power did not come back on thankfully it did come back on at 4pm. Lovely place we will definitely be back to stay again with our family.
Delightful location with a well furnished and equipped lodge. Nothing missing! Best compliment I can make is that we would stay again and recommend to others.
Excellent peaceful location. We didnt want to leave.
We had a wonderful holiday and Kingfisher Lodge was absolutely wonderful thank you, highly recommended
The lodge is of a really high standard and is in a beautiful location. It is a short drive to Ross on Wye where we had some really nice meals. The hot tub was fantastic. We had a great time
Just had a wonderful week in Kingfisher. Everything was just perfect. Such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Hot tub an added bonus. We will be back.
Stunning location and the cabin was amazing. Everything we hoped it would be and more. Can't wait to return.
Excellent lodge in a beautiful setting. Imagine sitting eating breakfast and watching a heron catching its breakfast through the window!
Absolutley perfect, gorgeous setting. Interior decor modern and lovely. Beautiful bathroom. Slippers and toiletries a wonderful touch
A really nice comfortable lodge. Everything was supplied too. The location was spectacular. We had a really enjoyable stay.

It was a delight to find a property that really did tick all our boxes, spotless and it provided something that we have been searching for for a long time. The owners were very friendly, professional and added to the overall experience. Very unusually we will be returning next year.
