I want to say its awful. I want to say dont go there - but that would only be so we can have the place to ourselves!! Thornbrae Lodge is beautiful. Its very high spec and the owners attention to detail really shows. The Welcome Pack was very thoughtful and much appreciated. We enjoyed our chats with Julie, one of the owners, who was always potterin g around doing something - she never seemed to stop working. We will certainly be back. Best place we have ever stayed in

Beautifully appointed cottage, super comfortable and cosy. Spotlessly clean. Very central for Alnwick, and a short drive from the many spectacular Northumberland beaches and towns. The hot tub is massive and was greatly appreciated. Would recommend guests bring their own bathrobes and flip flops as you have to cross the uncovered outdoor stone tile d yard to reach the tub (and back when you get out!)

The location of Thornbrae Lodge was perfect for visiting places of interest also if required a bit of retail therapy Newcastle is only 30 minutes away. The owners have spent a lot of time and thought on making it a lovely property well equipped with everything that is required. Very clean and the little welcome touches just make it special. Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam.
