The Lodge really lived up to our expectations - and beyond! The furnishings and equipment were of very good quality and the visitor information folder was really helpful. There was good amenity space on the site and the hosts had provided a wealth of provisions in the welcome pack. I want to say its awful. I want to say dont go there - but that would only be so we can have the place to ourselves!! Thornbrae Lodge is beautiful. Its very high spec and the owners attention to detail really shows. The Welcome Pack was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Beautifully appointed cottage, super comfortable and cosy. Spotlessly clean. Very central for Alnwick, and a short drive from the many spectacular Northumberland beaches and towns. Would recommend guests bring their own bathrobes and flip flops as you have to cross the uncovered outdoor stone tile d yard to reach the tub (and back when you get out!)

The location of Thornbrae Lodge was perfect for visiting places of interest also if required a bit of retail therapy Newcastle is only 30 minutes away. The owners have spent a lot of time and thought on making it a lovely property well equipped with everything that is required. Very clean and the little welcome touches just make it special.
