Honestly, we had a great stay at The Lodge. The place was spotlessly cleanand the furnishings felt really cosy. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, full of useful bits and bobs. The location couldn’t be better - everything in town was just a short walk awayand the bus stop right outside made exploring super easy. The site itself had plenty of space to relax and unwind. All in all, a really good find for our trip. We’d definitely come back!

Thornbrae Lodge is in a perfect spot for checking out local attractions and, if you're in the mood for some shopping, Newcastle is just a half-hour drive away. The owners have clearly put a lot of time and effort into making it a lovely propertyand it's really well equipped with everything you could need. It’s super clean tooand those little welcome touches really do make it special! We would definitely come back again.

Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.

Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
