Hosts were welcoming and friendly. Accomodation was comfortable and adequate for our needs. Great value for money stay especially the hot tub. we had a couple minor issues but this didnt detract from our holiday. Bobby and Maggie the farm dogs used to visit us daily which made our day. The cottage was so clean and tidy inside and out it is so big inside but when you look at it from the outside it does not look as big it has all you need to have a great break would recommend this cottage to anyone thank you willy for a great time.
Rachel
Lovely cottage but bathroom was tired and shower pump not that good. Tv in bedroom not working and dishwasher out of use. If you like a very soft bouncy bed, you will love it. Would have been nice to have some tea and coffee. Hot tub is enclosed but is next to the farmhouse so not that private. Hard to tell that from the pictures on the website.
Jessica
Had a lovely stay, central to locations of interest, most gorgeous fire place and there was plenty of wood etc to keep warm and cosy. Lovely modern bathroom and utensils etc for that homely feel

The cottage was very homely and in a lovely, quiet location. Despite being on a working farm we found it to be a peaceful setting and situated in an ideal position for exploring the Northumberland National Park and surrounding areas. The Hosts were very friendly.
David
Perfectly placed to explore historical sites and do a bit of walking in Northumbria. Returning after a day out, jump in the hot tub and prepare dinner in a well appointed kitchen. Absolutely loved our stay there. Lovely people and loved the sounds of the sheep and horses, very relaxing.
Chris
Nice clean comfortable cottage ideal location for exploring kielder forest and lake Hosts very friendly
Sian
The cottage is in a great position for exploring the west side of Northumberland - easy access to the national park and Kielder. A great stay for those who prefer to be away from the crowds. The hot tub worked well and the owners were on hand if needed.
Chris
Lovely cottage everything we hoped for and more would love to visit again.
Rosalind
Lovely rural retreat, loads of lovely walks from the farm and also not too far for a drive to the beach or to Kielder forest. Thankyou for a lovely week
Kathleen
Lovely cottage but does need a little more thought with welcome pack, sachets of coffee, 1 sachet of sugar, no milk, half a toilet roll and no matches to light fire. Radiator in sitting room not working despite a visit on Friday to be told it needed bleeding and let him know when we would be out (did this twice) communication not great. Fridge free zer is small fridge and tiny freezer section. That said, the hot tub is amazing, bed so comfy, and cottage has a lovely feel to it.
Amy
The log burner was going as we arrived making for a making for a lovely welcome. Great location for exploring Northumberland. The cottage had everything we needed, and perfect for the dog with a secure private yard area for when we were out out exploring. Would highly recommend.
Helen
Nice enough cottage just needs a few tweaks ie somewhere to hang wet coats and keys make sure heating is working and provide hand wash in the toilet it was the one thing we did not bring, kitchen was nice good range of equipment furniture good quality
Timothy
Would thoroughly recommend a stay at Rochester Barn.
Yasmin
Living room lovely and warm as fire burner was on when we arrived, however this was needed as the central heating system was broken during our stay. Hot tub was brilliant but we were disappointed to find the cottage had an adjoining property to the left with windows overlooking the hot tub area (adjoining property was not visible in any photos). Fa rm dogs were friendly but woke us up barking at 7am so no relaxing lie in. Enjoyed our stay but the property was not as private or quiet as we had hoped.
Ben
Lovely cottage in a lovely remote !SELECTED!location.!ENDOFSELECTED!
Jenny
Excellent value for money & great for a dog. The location is remote & ideal for a getaway. Despite being on a working farm, it was really quiet. We would love to stay here again.
Gareth
Our stay at the cottage was perfect. The cottage is set in a lush countryside location. The hot tub was huge and inside the cottage was clean and nicely decorated. The owner even had a fire blazing for us for when we arrived. I would recommend to anyone looking for a romantic getaway
Kayleigh
What a beautiful place to stay! Gorgeous location, cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing comfortable stay would definitely recommend
Joanne
A peaceful location, no traffic noise despite being just off the A68, either inside or outside of the property. As previous reviews have said the farm is quiet, the owners nice and helpful but never intrusive and we enjoyed seeing the friendly dogs and horses out and about. Lots of history on the doorstep and there's Rothbury (Cragside), Jedburgh, Hexham and much more not far away. Sitting in the hot tub I saw the biggest shooting star I've ever seen. We thoroughly recommend the cottage.
