Arrived to find the property fairly clean. Unfortunately it seems it needs a paint refresh in many places which makes it seem unclean in places. The wheelie bins were full to the brim which was disappointing especially after I received a text asking if all ok and when I responded I didnt hear back after asking where to leave our rubbish. The property is very comfortable with quality furnishings and fittings. It is on the whole very clean and well maintained as is the garden and hot tub. Christon Bank provides the ideal base to explore Northumberland and there are so many beautiful places to visit a short drive away.

Lovely property but a little tired in some areas that need rectifying to bring it up to 100% standard Very peaceful although pigeons are nesting in the climbing hydrangea outside the bedroom window which woke us up early. Had to have the windows open as the central heating would come on at odd times and it became stifling in the rooms . Not happy tRead morehat a garden delivery firm came during our stay and we had to get up at 8.15am and he wanted cash or card - not what I would have liked on holiday Hide

This is a very well presented home with excellent facilities. The garden is large and was very much enjoyed by our dogs. The hot tub was put to good use by the younger family members even in January! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Sharon
Lovely house, great size & layout. Hot tub was a bonus. We would definitely recommend

The house has been done up to a very high standard, was very comfortable and well equipped for our stay. Our 3 generation family and 3 dogs stayed here for a week and the house is beautiful. Very spacious and clean and reasonably well equipped. The garden is fully secure, which for children and dogs is ideal. Brand new play equipment for children and brilliant hot tub with lighting and Bluetooth! Christon Bank is a quiet village, a lovely 35 minute wa lk over the fields takes you to Embleton. We would recommend this property and would stay here again.
Judy
We had a week here - multi generational group of 6. The house is spacious and reasonably functional. The children enjoyed the play equipment in the garden. The hot tub was a bonus. There are minimal amenities in Christon Bank - no shop or cafe/restaurant. Small stores for essentials in Embleton, a drive away. Sainsburys do deliver. Places of intere st to visit a short drive away. We loved Embleton beach. Keep your bedroom window shut. Cockerel next door wakes you at dawn.
Russell
Beautiful spacious home in a fabulous location. Garden is perfect for children and dogs and is now fully enclosed. Interior of home is modern and lends itself to family gatherings in the large living room or smaller spaces ie bedrooms and dining area with tvs for those times when everyone wants to watch something different! Downstairs family bathro om is wonderful with luxurious shower and bath. Would recommend and will definitely be returning next year.
Vikki
This is a lovely, bright & clean property in a great place to visit the area. The village is quiet and it has a very peaceful vibe. It does lack a BBQ. Dogs/Kids/Mobility need to knows: The garden is only enclosed with the front driveway gates shut and dogs/kids are able to come round to the front of the property. There is also a hedge at the front that some dogs may get through. Mobility - There is gravel at both entrances and steps up to every external door, the patio step is very deep.
Karina
A really great stay. The cottage was really nicely decorated and very clean. Beds were so comfy and nice spacious rooms. Garden was lovely but is not fully secure for dogs, completely manageable with a stake and tether though. Location is great, 10 mins into Seahouses, 5 mins to Embleton, 15 mins to Alnwick. Well equipped kitchen for cooking and re ally nice space for sitting together. Living room great too. Highly recommend to anyone.

When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
