We stayed in Orpington, it was very well equipped and fantastic for our family week away. We were all very comfortable and loved the children's toy barn and the hens and collecting eggs. Really close to Thirsk and Thirsk barns where we attended our Nephews wedding. We explored the local Yorkshire countryside and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

!SELECTED!We loved the following aspects of the property: Interiors high spec and the kitchens very well-equipped, all rooms EnSite, located on a working farm, excellent provision of indoor and outdoor activities for children, not far from the A1 but quiet location. Orpington lends itself to a large group staying there, and also to holding a single larger event as we did on one of the days where 35-40 people comfortably fitted into the space. It was great to be able to book Maran and Wyandotte for more family to stay in. We really appreciated the Tassimo coffee machines in the property, and the Bose sound system. The owners were generally available and always very friendly and helpful. The highlight was to see a large group of sheep herded to the adjacent field along the street outside the property - a rural experience for us city-dwellers! !ENDOFSELECTED!
Lucy
Stayed as a group of friends for a low key birthday weekend. The cottage was impressive and had everything we needed. Plenty of parking space. Every bedroom being en-suite was ideal. Kitchen was great, complimentary cake on arrival was a nice touch. Felt private although the properties are semi detached. Quiet village setting, ventured to the next village which was walkable, and made the short drive to Thirsk, but mostly stayed in and enjoyed the cottage. Owners were friendly and helpful.
Fiona
We had the loveliest weekend away for a relaxed hen do. The cottage was the perfect place for us with lovely facilities, very cosy and warm despite being such a big space. The best showers ever and a great hot tub too. Very close to Thirsk train station so we spent a nice day out in York too.
Maggie
Beautiful cottage and had everything you could think of. Our granddaughter especially enjoyed feeding the rabbits. Would definitely recommend it.

The cottage was amazing and the owners were very helpful. On arrival we had Tea, Coffee and cake left, which was very thoughtful, as we all had travelled a long distance. The resident chickens provided amazing breakfast eggs.
Karen
A beautifully appointed holiday home. A lovely rural village setting yet only 5 minutes drive from the A1. Would recommend the Nags Head for an amazing Chinese takeout. (2 minutes drive to next village). Our 3 year old grandson loved collecting fresh eggs from the hens. Bird of Prey centre in Thirsk well worth a visit. Thoroughly enjoyed our week
Gail
We had a lovely time and found the accommodation very nice and the owners were friendly and helpful when we went to ask them questions. Personal welcome letter was a lovely touch and great to have leaflets and information in the cottage to plan our stay. Outdoor facilities were great for young and old! Thank you for a lovely visit, we would look to stay again.
Paul
Bear in mind-- for transparency I should say the owner is my relative: so knowing that, I still give excellent marks for cleanliness and facilities etc, and I observed the hosts were welcoming other guests with the same warmth & enthusiasm we received. We could comfortably fit the extended family around the dining table which made for a trip with m any memories for us. Regardless of family connections I would strongly recommend the venue.
Leanne
What a beautiful place to stay. We went as a group of ladies for a relaxing weekend and that was exactly what it was. Plenty of room for comfortable sleeping arrangements, dining and relaxing. The sun shone so we made use of the lovely court yard. The house is immaculate and there was some lovely touches such as fresh flowers, tea and coffee and a beautiful cake for us on arrival. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely visit again. Thank you!
Laura
What an excellent holiday cottage, it had everything we needed and more. The beds were so comfortable which is a must when on holiday. The kids absolutely loved getting fresh eggs in the morning and petting the rabbits. The games barn was a big hit with them which also included little tykes cars for the smaller kids. Overall our stay was wonderful and we will definitely be returning. Phil and Jim should be very proud of their farm and cottages they are amazing!
Zoe
Absolutely amazing. A real home from home. A great place for a get together with family or friends. Nothing too much trouble for the owners. Lovely welcome pack including homemade lemon drizzle cake. Cant wait to go back!
Ayesha
Such a wonderful stay for my hen do weekend. The cottage is beautiful and perfect for entertaining which was ideal as there were 10 of us. The area was so peaceful; the perfect place to reset. We had no problem getting taxis to and from Huddersfield for our night out and all we needed was covered in the information book for guests. Would definitely love to return to one of the smaller properties as they all looked beautiful. Thank you for a lovely stay.
