Lovely cosy property, comfortable and warm, WiFi, great for the dogs and walkers. Great surroundings, lovely and quiet but easy access to everywhere via the A66 and A1.

Nice cottage and very well enclosed if you have dogs. Very good standard in particular the bathroom and bedroom. Added bonus was the wood burning hot tub, but takes a bit of getting used to and planning. Plenty of pubs not too far away, so although this is a quiet place for a get away, there are some nice places to explore.
Jennifer
On arrival, the high chair and travel cot were not there. I contacted Sophie and she came down to sort this within 15mins - amazing service , thank you. Lovely cottage, lovely garden! My wife and I stayed for a week and had a fabulous time. The cottage was very clean and tidy. A great space for the dogs with access to a field so they can have a good run around all enclosed so no worries of them escaping. The hosts Sopphie and Kieth were amazing always happy to help should it be needed. All in all, a fabulous holiday.

What a beautiful cottage, in such a peaceful, rural location! A perfect base to explore both North Yorkshire, & it's neighbouring counties, with Darlington being only just up the road for groceries/essentials. Had the best time so chilled & relaxing. Its fabulous for the dogs you can totally chill in the hot tub without worrying about the dogs escaping its totally enclosed which is a big thing for us with 2 nosey beagles. The cottage is so cozy & comfortable. The bed was comfy & tv in there was a bonus! Fab shower & tv with Netflix in the lounge. Having a washing machine was great especially after a wet walk. Great location to visit other areas we will definitely be returning loved it!
Ryan
Cottage was lovely and cosy with beautiful scenery surrounding. It was lovely to watch the horses and hares frolicking around in the fields opposite while enjoying the hot tub. The best dog friendly accommodation we have stayed at, as our dog was able to run about outside to his hearts content without a worry.

This has been our 4th visit. The cottage is ideal for our dogs- a border collie and very nervous mixed breed rescue. They can be let straight into the secure garden and then we walk around the secure field with no need for leads. They love it and we can relax. We love the new hot tub!
Sharon
Lovely cottage in lovely setting. Thoughtful little touches from the owners. Great location for visiting parks , beaches, market towns and so on. We have never felt so chilled out on a holiday, the peace, the hot tub, the garden for the dog, and the adjacent field, bliss. Will go back.
Victoria
Beautiful cottage in a really lovely setting. The hosts have thought of everything and lots of lovely little touches. Most importantly really secure garden with access to a bigger contained field which meant our 2 very energetic Rottweilers had lots of lovely space. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.
Faye
Amazing weekend away for my partners 30th birthday. A lovely quiet get away with everything you need. Peaceful but also not too far to drive/walk to things. The cottage itself was very clean, smelt beautiful and fresh as soon as you walk in. All the utensils you can think of and a very thoughtful welcome basket with a bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge on arrival. Will be back and will recommend to others!
Andrew
What a wonderful time away we had, having our very own dog field was brilliant and the dogs didnt want to leave. Lovely cosy cottage very clean and tidy and decorated for new year. The owners have made a beautiful get away and one that we will be coming back too.

Wow first impressions of this cottage - absolutely gorgeous! I was slightly nervous at first as it was only myself (26F) and my dog travelling and we arrived at night time when it was dark and the location seemed quite remote, however I soon felt very safe after turning all the outside lighting on and seeing how secure it was. We went on some amazi ng walks in Yorlshire, had some fantastic food, the locals were lovely and friendly. The BEST UK break we have had re area & accommodation. Thank you!
