You can, of course, take meals outside instead, sitting on the patio in view of the excellent six-person hot tub. After a dip, head back indoors to warm up by the wood burner in the lounge. When bedtime arrives, all three bedrooms are as inviting as the last, each with their en-suite bathroom or shower room; these include two super-king-size rooms (one with zip-and-link beds) and a welcoming double. Explore the small holding that surrounds the property, visit the horses in the stable and feel free to exercise your dog in the enclosed field on-site. The holiday home is within effortless reach of the Nidderdale National Landscape, with extraordinary scenes to be found amongst rolling hills and pretty rivers. Green End House Reviews

Lesley
Our family had an absolutely wonderful birthday celebration weekend at Green End House. It is very well equipped and the property is wonderful and located in a very beautiful and peaceful area. The hot tub was the main attraction for the younger members of the family but there are plenty of gamesDVD's etc to keep them entertained otherwise. I had some direct contact with the owner and she was absolutely lovely. We would definitely stay here again without any hesitation.
Gillian
We had a fantastic stay at Green End House. The house is beautiful with ample space and amenities. The owners have thought of everything! There is plenty to do in the lovely local area but if you want a relaxed break the hot tub at the property is fantastic offering wonderful views of the countryside. We will definitely be back!
Tracey
Green End was perfect. We were three adults and two teens, and there was more than enough room for all of us to sleep, and retreat to individual areas. Usually I would have recommendations to improve a location, but I have nothing. Our expectations were exceeded. We have travelled the world and stayed in many locations, this will remain one of the best. The games, movies, inside entertainment options, table tennis and basketball hoop were all used and approved by out teens.
We booked a weekend away for my 40th birthday and just wanted somewhere to chill with friends and family and couldnt have picked anywhere better. The house and grounds are beautiful and very well equipped. The owner was super helpful and friendly. We will definitely be booking again.
Beautiful property large and spacious. The master bedroom was a treat. Hot tub a great asset and the grounds were very well kept. Suzy the owner was attentive and quick to reply to any questions.
Kathleen
A beautiful well equipped property within easy reach of Ripon, Richmond, Harrogate and Knaresborough. It was perfect for our family holiday.
Geraldine
We had a wonderful week at Green End House We had good weather which was a bonus The drive way is very secure so the children enjoyed cycling and the scooter we brought literally just going up down and around for fun. Hot tub was great. The whole house is very child and family friendly We reported the BBQ stand, as it was a little wobbly but the owner sorting this promptly The fridge had a leak which is also being sorted. It did not affect the coolness of the fridge. There are 2 fridge freezers and 2 dishwashers! which proved useful , though we only used 1 dishwasher Suzy the owner was exceptionally good at giving information and responded within hours to any questions I recommend this property
Green End House is a great place for a family holiday we stayed for a week at the end of May, three generations age range 2 to 68. Plenty of room for all to relax. Safe enclosed garden for the little ones. Very comfortable beds and furnishings. Suzy was very helpful with queries and provided excellent, detailed information about things to do in the area and places to eat out. Highly recommend.
Jonathan
Fabulous house, huge and well appointed. Very comfortable stay.
This property is the best we have used since we started holding family gatherings. the layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms worked out well for our 3 families. the rooms downstairs were great for everyone as well. everything was well maintained and clean. i would recommend this house.
Howard
Beautiful, spacious house in lovely countryside, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there.
Louise
A stunning, spacious and comfortable large property in a lovely location. It provided a great base to celebrate my 50th birthday with familyfriends. The kitchen is huge and has everything and more than you would need for a comfortable stay. The downstairs space includes three living areas providing plenty of space to spread out. Upstairs, are five good sized bedrooms. The master suite is just incredible stylishly designed and cavernous. The table football and table tennis are fun additions and there are a plethora of gamesDVDs to use. Good location nearby to Ripon and Thirsk and just a hop off the A1M1. There is also good cycling from the house on fairly flatminor road and plenty of space to store bikes. Suzy the owner is fabulous, contacting you before and during your stay to make sure all is well. All in all a truly wonderful locationhouse to provide the backdrop for a get together and where special memories can be made. Highly recommended.
We all had a fabulous time, thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. Its a wonderful place. Just for your information the water dispenser in the fridge is broken which didnt really affect us but you may need to replace it. The outside guttering is blocked so rain water cascades outside the French door where the hot tub is. Hope you had a good journey home, and a Happy Christmas. Regards Janys Cliff
Catherine
We loved staying at Green End House. It is so well situated. The kitchendiningliving space is so warm and comfortable. It is extremely wellequipped. We wanted for nothing. There are so many rooms that provided enough space for everyone to be able to spread out and enjoy the house. The hot tub was fabulous. Much bigger than many. Everyone loved the house and gardens. The table tennis table was very well used too! It snowed when we stayed there and it was absolutely magical. The children loved playing in the garden that wrapped right around the house. Many wonderful memories made!
Dorothy
We have just returned from a wonderful week at Green End House with our two daughters, their partners and children, celebrating our Ruby Wedding. Its a beautiful, spacious house, ideal for large family groups. The kitchen dining area is extremely spacious with all the equipment you could possibly need or want. The two large cupboards of games were very welcome on bad weather days, as were the table tennis, basketball and table football. Communication with Suzy the owner was also excellent. We would very happily return.
Richard
Absolutely wonderful place, would love to come again, hopefully if I can afford to being oap.
We rented the property to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with the public. It was perfect. Plenty of room for the whole family, well furnished and equipped and in a truly idyllic location. The hot tub proved to be particularly popular. The house was also ideally placed for exploring both the Dales and the Moors. It really could not have been better and we were all really disappointed when our week came to an end.
Gerald
Fantastic stay hot tub great for the children all enjoyed the week cant weight to come back
Angela

Excellent property especially the kitchen. Spotlessly clean. Hot tub excellent. Beds comfortable. Excellent communication from owner. Neighbour was extremely friendly and could help with anything if required. Only very small negative was hot tub not ready for use on first night.
Green End House is in a really good location. It is very comfortable and well equipped. We couldnt have asked for more and our stay was made extra special by all the provision for our younger family members. A perfect place for a family gathering.
Valerie
Perfect stay at Green End House. The home is perfect and we had an amazing time celebrating my partners 75th Birthday with family and grandchildren. The facilities are excellent throughout this beautiful house with the added bonus of an immaculate hot tub. There are cupboards jam packed with games which we used and had great fun plus packed drawers of DVDs, the table tennis table in the garage is another bonus. The home was immaculate, stylish and so warm, we didnt want to leave. Communication with Suzy the owner was fantastic and she gave a courteous call to ask if we needed anything. I would a 100 recommend this beautiful house.
A lovely property and one we really enjoyed staying in. Suzanna was extremely helpful pretrip and also made sure we were enjoying our stay over the weekend. We're already talking about returning in future years and really enjoyed the accommodation and setting.
Absolutely everything we could have wanted and more. Definitely a beautiful home totally suited to our needs. Thank you
We had the most fabulous stay for our Golden Wedding celebration with our family in the stunning Green End House ! ! It had everything we could need and plenty of activities for all the grandchildren, inside and out including a largesafe and beautifully maintained garden, surrounded by spectacular views especially sunrise and sunset !!! A few minutes walk to the local pub The George and Dragon for some very nice food and lots of local walks and lovely to come back for a chill in the hot tub,the house is so relaxing we didn't want to leave , would definitely love to return !!!
Leanne
Absolutely amazing property and everything we wanted for a family holiday. The house is equipped with everything you could think of. Amazing views and lovely surroundings. Lovely and helpful owner and neighbours! Very detailed welcome pack with all sorts of information. If I could have stayed forever I would have! Would certainly look at coming back again soon. Thank you so much
Lauren
Couldnt have asked for anything more. The most amazing and welcoming house I have stayed in
Graham
The house was as detailed as published. So was the surrounding areas. The only problem the party encountered was the hot tub became unuseable from the Tuesday evening and never regained its clarity and temperature. This was a disapointment to the younger members of our group.
We had a wonderful holiday at Green End House. The house was exactly as pictured, spotlessly clean and there was so much space for us all. The cupboards full of games, books and dvds were brilliant for rainy days and the table tennis table was a huge hit. The bbq and hot tub were also much appreciated! The village was perfectly placed for some lovely days out at Brimham Rocks, Lightwater Valley and Thorpe Perrow. The local pub just a five minute stroll from the house was super friendly with tasty, reasonably priced food for all the family. Notes for the owner We would have liked a working dvd player in the super comfy red room we couldn't get the telly to work in there at all instructions for how to work the dishwasher in the utility room loaded it, then couldn't figure out how to turn it on! and Mum says to mention that the ensuite door in the second bedroom doesn't stay shut. These are teeny tiny niggles our holiday, and the house, were absolutely fantastic and we would love to return someday. Thank you so much for the beautiful house and all of the helpful information you left for us, we had a brilliant time.
Theresa
What an amazing place for 10 women to relax away from the children and catch up after what seems like an eternity of Covid. Amazing house with everything you need in a lovely village with people who were very welcoming.
A wonderful property for a family gathering. Extremely spacious, comfortable and well appointed in every respect. Ideally situated for family outings with good food available in a friendly local pub. Highly recommended.
This is our 2nd visit to Green End House . ... its is the most beautiful house with the perfect facilities. It has everything you could possibly need and more! The owner is so welcoming and friendly and checks in to make sure we were ok. Milk in the fridge and prosecco and biscuits upon arrival are just one of the many wonderful touches about this place . We cannot wait to go again asap!! Thank you so much for yet another wonderful stay!!
A wonderful property to stay that was beautifully presented and spotless throughout.
AStar all the way. This property was perfect in every way there was comfort and luxury in every room the bedrooms were immaculate and comfortable bathrooms were spotlessly clean spacious and had shower and hair products something you would only find in a hotel warm fluffy towels and beautiful bed linen. The kitchen and living areas very modern comfortable and clean The kitchen had every utensil and container you would need and bonus fridge has an ice maker
The house is amazing and ideal for a large family gathering. It is very comfortable and spacious. Suzy was very helpful and responded quickly when there was a small problem. We would thoroughly recommend Green End House.
Alison

The site runs morning courses in gardening throughout the summer which are priced at just £12 and include coffee. There is also a nursery onsite where plants can be purchased. Entry to the gardens cost just £4 for adults and 50p for children.
Flamingo Land - YO60 7EW
about 26 Miles
Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
