Godrevy Cottage Reviews

We really enjoyed our stay and the accommodation was perfect for our family of 4. The cottage is in a great location to travel to many local attractions and walking distance to a great local pub. The hot tub was a welcome feature and the garden was a great size too.
Lovely cottage, very clean and well looked after. It is very much like a home from home as there is everything that you would need as well as some lovely little personal touches like, milk in the fridge on arrival, a bottle of wine and lovely fresh flowers. The hot tub and garden were great, also very clean and maintained but the only down side is they arent attached to the property and you have to walk across the drive way to get to it, and there are other families in the cottages next to you so I didnt feel like my 12 year old daughter could just play out in the garden with her football like she would at home. But all in all the cottage is lovely and would definitely recommend.

Had a wonderful holiday in a beautiful cottage in a great location We really ... Had a wonderful holiday in a beautiful cottage in a great location We really enjoyed the hot tub Will be returning in the future
Carole
The cottage is absolutely beautiful. Very very clean. The hot tub was perfect. We felt very comfortable and at home, washed we could have stayed longer. The village pub was a 2 minute walk where we received a warm welcome and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.
Amazing cottage with everything you could ever want. Lovely hot tub. Beautiful flowers and wine on arrival which was a lovely welcome. Excellent location to visit lots of beautiful places in Cornwall. Will definitely be booking again! Thank you. X
Claire
A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. A warm welcome to fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. Oh and a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge. As we stayed in February the nights were extremely cold, its a very old cottage so to have the wood burner was lovely, made they stay even cosier. 1010 for cleanliness, believe me I looked for faults but there were none. Clean fluffy towels, crisp white linen. I would highly recommend a stay here, an extremely comfortable, welcoming cottage. Will be definitely booking to stay again.
The cottage was lovely. Wine, flowers and milk was a lovely surprise on arrival. Everything you could ever need was there and more. The girls enjoyed playing with the toys and it was nice to have a high chair and some baby bits too. The hot tub was great. An added bonus which our girls loved. The local pub was very welcoming and food was good. We had a great week. Lots of memories made. Thank you.
Claire
Absolutely beautiful cottage, extremely clean and equipped with all you could possibly need. Flowers, wine and milk were such a lovely gesture upon arrival. Ownershousekeeper made us feel very welcome and kept us informed. The location of the cottage is perfect, quiet little village but very close to beaches and amenities. Lots of amazing memories made as a family, sunset at Godrevy point to name a few. Hot tub at the cottage was a huge bonus. Thank you so much, we'd definitely recommend visiting. Xxx

Excellent property exceeded expectations. Loads of unexpected facilities like slow cooker. Paperwork needs updating as there was no quiz at pub but still had a great night there staff and locals so friendly and bin day is Friday not Thursday. Central to many places and really loved the patio and hot tub. Looking forward to visiting again.

Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated but also very homely and cosy. Pretty garden, great hot tub, well equipped. Great location near the A30 not near enough that it disturbs you! so everything is within easy reach if you want to explore. Nice local pub for dinners. Easy drive to local beaches, also the park and ride for St Ives, and slightly further afield but easily reachable are the Lizard, Porthcurno, Sennen, Falmouth, pretty much everywhere. We flew in to Newquay, it's an easy 30min drive from there to Angarrack.
Stunning place, very tidy and modern. Everything you need in place. Really home from home feel. Great communication from the manager. Better than we imagined. Thank you so much. We would definitely come back.
A Lovely and clean cottage, fresh flowers, and bottle of wine on arrival which was much appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped more than enough for our needs. The bed was very comfortable, slept better here than I do at home. Being over 6ft with a few extra pounds I did find the downstairs shower a bit small for me, but that was the only fault, but as there is a shower upstairs it wasnt an issue. Would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to be back soon. Sean & Lynn
Great location for many places to visit nice and secluded but near amenities
Bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent and clean. However the downstairs furniture was tired and in particular the leather furniture was badly stained. The hot tub is in need of attention being scratchedscraped in several places water levels were low despite a request to fill up not done resulting in strong chemical smells. Only used it twice.
Friendly welcome, fresh flowers on the tables, clean, comfortable, everything supplied, couldn't ask for more. We felt we were at home, lovely. We'll be back for certain.
Very well equipped holiday cottage. Set in a little village with a pub that does food. Close to A30 to get anywhere within 30 mins. Hot tub was a lovely bonus. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. 2 Bathrooms was great too. I can't actually think of any negative points !
Nicola
The cottage had everything and more there was flowers and wine upon arrival, the whole place wes spotless. Everything is within around 30 minutea drives from.
Rebecca
Just returned from a wonderful week at Godrevy Cottage. Location was fantastic, so close to everything we wanted to visit but in a beautiful quiet village. The cottage itself had everything we could have wanted and the hot tub was amazing. Would definitely recommend this cottage for a stay in Cornwall.
Carole
The wifi connection was intermittent and droppedout several times a day thus necessitating reconnecting and the remote controller for the tvdvd did not function on some dvd operations such as ejecting, fastforwarding etc. The controller appeared to be a generic, allinone device and not specific to the actual make of the TV set. The boiler showed a reset red light on three occasions it did startup again once we had pressed the appropriate button. The lid on the hottub which is hinged in the middle would only open on one half the remaining half was extremely heavy and we were not able to raise it so as to access the whole of the hottub area. We understand the lid was sodden with water which made it extra heavy. These issues were raised with the local housekeeper who helped as far as she could and asked us to raise the issues via a please fix thiscard to be left in the outside letterbox we did this re the hottub cover but did not receive any acknowledgment from the owners. Although these are relatively minor annoyances we had not experienced any such issues on our first stay at the cottage some two and a half years ago and were disappointed to encounter them this time. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the cottage in general due to the efforts of Lou and her team especially so during this pandemic time and thank the local staff for their thoroughness.
Had a wonderful holiday at Godrevy Cottage Hayle, very comfy the weather was exceptionally good and would certainly recommend Godrevy cottage and the location.
Nothing to not enjoy. Beautiful cottagelocation. Spotlessly clean, home from home. Lou was very helpful and easy to contact. Loved our stay, sad to go home!
Nicola
Lovely cottage with a super private hot tub in a little separate garden across the drive. Lovely and clean and great for getting to St Ives just a 20 min drive. Hayle beach is fab and has a bar and just a 10 min drive. M&S is just around the corner with a large food hall. Breakfast at the local farm shop is a must and their cakes are fab. Great stay here ! Many thanks
Beautiful cottage, very well equipped, very comfortable,,,,,couldnt be better.
Fantastic cottage. Great location for days out. Hot tub wonderful.
Leslie
Clean and well equipped cottage, nice big rooms and comfy bed, we particularly liked the hot tub and lawnbarbeque area for relaxing in the evening. The cottage is in a pretty village with a handy pub for meals and within a short drive of the town or even a walk to the bus stop is only five minutes away. We will probably return.
The cottage had everything you need and more. Our Autistic son felt at home immediately and can usually be unsettled but after seeing the lovely cottage to explore and the great effort to put a lot of toys in the bedroom as well as the hot tub and garden he was very excited.Nice touches such as fresh flowers and bottle of wine much appreciated.Lou and nick who look after the place were nice and helpful too.Sure to be back sooner rather than later. Jon,Claire and kian
Love this cottage and it's our second visit here. It's so nice and comfy and clean with a lovely garden and hot tub. Also a great location for the beaches.
Gareth
Great cottage, slight confusion trying to access the property but overall very nice.
What a fab week we've just had at Godrevy Cottage! It's a well equipped cottage and everything you need is there. Our children 7 & 10 and had fun with all the toys in the cottage even tho they are for younger children. Lidl and Asda are a few minutes drive away, as are some some gorgeous beaches! It's a good base to explore the coast. The cottage hot tub is over a shared drive which I thought wasn't great but it really wasn't an issue. WiFi was good in the cottage, we took our Fire stick for better tv in the evening and it worked. We will 100 be coming back
Carole
Lovely, well equipped cottage in a beautiful setting of a very old village. Great pub for meals just down the road. Great hot tub which my husband made liberal use of! Certainly hope to return.
Well equipped. Good size fridge and freezer. Lidl 5 min drive away. If going into St Ives recommend Park n Pay. 2.60 all day. 4.00 return train, all day travel. Spa across shared drive and down a pebble path. Check temperature before using first time. We couldn't use on the first night as didn't reach a warm enough temperature. Apparently had been cleaned that morning. Bring suitable slip on shoes. Pub not open until 5.30 weekdays. Narrow driveway to cottage. Be careful if you've got a large car. Would recommend this cottage .
