Tucked away in an enclosed and private part of a 300-acre country estate, this stylish shepherd’s hut and lodge makes a quirky getaway for couples or even just you and the dog! Made up of two buildings and a hot tub, as well as a wet room behind the lodge, it provides a little slice of heaven for guests who want to get away from the crowds with just the sounds of the countryside for company. You can’t beat sinking into the cosy bedroom of the shepherd’s hut, the wood burner on to keep toasty at night. While a rustic country feel dominates both the lodge and shepherd’s hut, the furnishings and appliances give a modern touch. Sit down for romantic dinners in the lodge, which has a contemporary kitchen area to cook all that local produce you have discovered on your days out. On cool nights, you can sit inside at the bench table to enjoy the fruits of your labour but during the warmer summer months, you can’t beat eating alfresco on the terrace and taking an impromptu dip in the hot tub under the Devon night sky. For evenings out, visit the idyllic Fisherman’s Cot at Bickleigh (2 miles) for dinner, or the charming town of Tiverton (5 miles) for a larger selection of restaurants. An absolutely beautiful Shepherds hut in a great location. Its quiet, peaceful and has all the amenities you need for a totally relaxing break. From lounging in the sun during the day to stargazing at night from the hot tub we couldnt of asked for any more. Mandy has done a great job and we will most certainly be going back.

Overall we had a lovely very peaceful stay. It's a shame we didn't meet the owners at all as other reviews say they are friendly and helpful. Shepherds bliss is very nice and well equipped. It is quite remote with a 3 mile drive down a single track road to get there. It is in such a quiet peaceful setting though. You have a warm greeting from Fern the dog every day which is lovely. Overall a great time had.
Matt
The huts were brilliant! Very clean, everything you might need was there, the bed was comfy and the shower was nice and hot! The hot tub was amazing, too! Set in lovely surroundings, the little pond out front was a nice view with my morning tea, we also became very fond of the friendly farm dog who came and said hello most days.

We had the most wonderful time. Hut was fab as was the hot tub. Fern the dog and ducks made the trip for us. Wouldnt add anything apart from maybe some cushions for the outside chairs and a small table in the hut to sit with a game or a drink. It was lovely thanks and we will be going back.

The setting was so tranquil and the view beautiful - an idyllic place to unwind. Our stay was enhanced by regular visits from the most well-behaved, loveliest dog and the characterful ducks.
