Friendly host, lovely location. Easy access, it's got just about what you need for a short stay. The log burner keeps you warm if it gets chilly. The hot tub is great, but dont think you can switch a switch and it's hot. You need to plan. Even before you unpack, and if you want a before breakfast dip put some logs in before bedtime. It's all part of the experience. Hide

This little shepherd's hut has everything you need and more. We had a much needed long weekend break with our dog, who was safely contained in her own garden. The hot tub takes a lot of joint work to chop wood and stoke the fire, but boy oh boy was it worth it! We had a soak under the moon and it was still hot enough for a sunrise dip. The view is Read moretypical of the Carmarthen Fans and close to loads of beautiful walks. We visited Dinefwr twice and had Sunday lunch at the Red Lion, Llandybie. Hide

Most peaceful 7nts, the Hut was equipped with all the essentials and was clean and comfortable. We took our 3 small dogs and had plenty of room. Shepshed hut was all round ok at best, it is not a hot tub at all, takes far to long to heat up and this element was taken away from our weekend, lovely location for getting to key areas to visit, if a hot tub quiet weekend is what you are looking for I would not recommend at all.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Shepard's hut, great for the dogs, lots of walks near by.

Fantastic location and really friendly owners. Not much signal so great for a holiday to get away from it all! Location also great as not far to lots of fun things to do :) beautiful and quiet! Hot tub was also great - worth sticking with the time for the first heat (about three hours) as after that didnt take long to re-heat it any of the days!
Rebecca
Beautiful location, very quiet and lovely views. There is no signal here, this is great for most but as I went alone on the trip I would have liked to have some signal. The hot tub is a lovely idea but as others have said very faffy so I did not end up using it as after a few hours the water was still not warm. A lovely Shepherds Hut, perfect for 2 and your dog. Amazing hot tub and a never-ending supply of logs to keep the tub, log burner and bbq going. Simply equiped for cooking (2 rings and a microwave). WiFi interesting! Happy to recommend and would book again.

A lovely, cute hut. We had a lovely time. The bed is so comfy. The setting is lovely too. If you want peace, this is it. The Beacons hot tub retreat was quaint, secluded, cosy and peaceful. My husband, our dog Crystal and I stayed for one week end of August, even though the weather was not great we had an amazing time, especially relaxing in the hot tub after exploring.

Lovely wee shepherd's hut with everything you need for your break. Located on an Equestrian yard but not overlooked, very private with beautiful view of the countryside, good base for exploring the Brecon Beacons and Carmarthenshire. Nice enclosed space for the dogs to roam at the hut too. Wood fired hot tub is very relaxing after a long day explor ing. It does take roughly 4hrs for it to warm up but well worth it. Hosts, Penny and Tim were very nice and made us feel very welcome.

Fantastic 4 night stay here on 29.06.23. The hut was clean and cozy. Perfect little getaway for myself, husband and our 2 dogs. The welcome pack on dining table came in great use. The owners were lovely and very helpful. The hut is set just on the outskirts of an esquestrian centre and is hidden out of the way so feels very private with some beautif ul views. We used the hot tub only once .You really do need to be generous with logs to get it to a good heat. Loved our time here Lots to see locally

Cosy shepherds hut but big enough to accommodate us and 3 medium sized dogs. Great to be able to relax knowing the dogs were safe in the fenced garden. Lovely views and walks near by if you can find the footpaths. Maps were provided in the hut. 5 mins from a small town with take aways and a Co op. The hut has a microwave and double electric hob.
