This superb farmhouse is a great choice for families or groups of friends, offering peace and quiet, rural views, historic character and excellent modern comforts. After a day touring the gorgeous scenery and cultural attractions of the area, return to soak in the hot tub or watch the sunset from your private lake. Dating back to the 17th century, this wonderful escape is reached via a private drive and boasts an array of original features. The heart of the home is its huge lounge/diner, where you can gather in front of the wood burner and enjoy cosy evenings together. Steps lead from the dining area up to the kitchen, which is centred around an antique dairy table and includes a range-style cooker. A utility room provides laundry facilities and there’s also a shower room on this level, plus a welcoming snug which has a second wood burner as well as a Smart TV. When you’re feeling tired, head up the stairs to find the three stunning, spacious bedrooms, all of which have soaring, beamed ceilings and tasteful decor. A family bathroom with a handsome roll-top bath completes the interior. The outside space is just as impressive as the inside, and includes a dining table and a hot tub, both with incredible views. There’s also a large lawn with lovely flower borders and, down a short path, a small lake where log seating is arranged around a fire pit.
