Kerry Hill - The Sheepfold Reviews

We had a lovely stay. Our main reason we chose Kerry hill was for our dog on firework night .. she is terrified of them and we usually have to sedate her We got this stay for a great price and was perfect for us especially now we have a little one 10 months at the time of the stay. We had everything we needed. Aldi and tesco is just a 6min drive for any essential items nappies and wipes for us!! we had a takeaway first night which was lovely leaflets recommendations in accommodation made it easy to choose the town is a short 10min drive max where we had a few lunches out at some lovely pubs recommended at the accommodation. Cot bed, highchair and baby bath supplied were perfect! We found three lovely pram friendly dog walks close by and also a soft play called Quackers where we had lots of fun after a long dog walk. We only heard a couple of fireworks on the 5th but were in the distance so our dog only reacted slightly for 30mins max and they were not very loud at all. so overall a great peaceful holiday for her! Faye!

Kerri Hill Lodge at the Sheepfold really was an amazing place to stay while exploring this area. Couldnt fault anything, comfortable bed, great shower, everything you need in a kitchen and a hot tub to relax in after a day out exploring. Enclosed garden was perfect for our 2 dogs. A lot of thought and care has been taken with these lodges, wouldnt hesitate to book again if we return to mid Wales.
Patrick
Overall this was a beautiful lodge in equally beautiful surroundings. Very well positioned for lits of days out. A few negative points. As mentioned in other reviews, the gates between the lodges are fairly low with open top sections so this did cause a few problems between ours and neighbouring dogs. The hot tub only had a privacy screen from one side so we didnt feel secluded and were overlooked by our neighbours. The hot water could do with knocking down a few degrees on the boiler as it nearly scalded our hands! One toilet roll isnt enough for two people on a three night stay. Plenty of positives though, the enclosed garden space is fantastic, our dogs had loads of room to play around in, the property was very clean and had all the amenities inside we couldve asked for and the welcome pack for both humans and dogs was enjoyed by us all!
Lovely property, very peaceful setting will Book again

Restore, refresh and relax! We had a lovely stay at this stunning property, we were stunned on arrival! It is peaceful but still close enough to lots of wonderful places like Elan Valley, Hafren forest and you can get to the beach in an hour. The hot tub is fab, the secure garden is great for the dogs amd everything you should need is provided for you, even with a little welcome gift for us and the dogs! Thank you for having us, we will be back!
The property was great, had everything you needed. The only points we would make as dog owners is that the gates in the side fences should be solid and the same height as the fence as our dog and the ones to our side tried to get at each other through the open slats. In the property itself the only thing we could have had more of was hooks for towelsclothes in the bathroom and bedroom. Overall a fantastic property and would recommend.
Theresa
Myself, my husband & our two dogs had the most amazing time staying at this beautiful lodge. Everything was perfect the view was stunning, it was well equipped, spotlessly clean, lovely touches with the towels & plastics cups ready for the jacuzzi, welcome pack & a dog bowl ready for the dogs as soon as we arrived, the jacuzzi was an added bonus! The owners were absolutely lovely! We spent our time going on lovely long walks, pub lunches and dinners, chilling in the hot tub enjoying the views & cosy evenings in the lodge. The dogs absolutely loved the big garden that was very secure. We hope to be back! Thanks again!

Needed a getaway from work and people With my partner and my two little poochies. For me it ticked every box that I needed. Nice warm modern farm style house everything clean and well built, plug sockets were plenty! Hot tub worked perfectly! Llandrindod Wells lake isnt far away and also adds to the experience.
We had an amazing stay here, it was lovely and clean and great amount of space for the dog! The area was lovely and peaceful with plenty of walks nearby. The facilities were great, but it wouldve been handy to have oil for cooking and salt available as the shaker was empty.
These are unusual lodges with all you need. We stayed for 3 nights over the bank holiday. It was clean, the furniture is comfy, there is enough in the cupboards to make your own food, it was warm and located on a beautiful hillside with a fabulous view. There are several things to do nearby and our time was filled with cycling, walking, red kite viewing and eating ice cream! There is a handy local pub, but check the opening times as it was closed on bank holiday Monday. Overall this accommodation is simple, yet smart. It has all you need and is beautifully done. We hope to return.
The place was absolutely lovely, nice welcome pack left for us & the dog, good sized secure garden, one of the best gardens yet. Very quiet area, the owners kept in touch by text as they had their hands full with lambing. Good pub 1 mile up the road. Great hot tub, welcome relief after a day's adventure. Already recommended to friends & family. Thanks for a lovely week. Tracy, Joy & Gus.
We have just got back from an amazing week at the sheepfold. Very private lodges, there is only 4 on site but we wouldnt have even known anyone was in them if we hadnt of seen the cars. Cleanliness was amazing especially to say how high the ceiling is! Bed was the comfiest Ive ever slept in. Hot tub amazing and also one of the best. Our pooch Luna loved the secure garden and was nice for us to be able to let her out knowing she was secure. Greens taxi were amazing and took our dog if you do need one and recommend the food at the crown in which is about a 10 min drive we used the taxi. Was lovely that the owner popped in when we first got there to say hello. And the treats left for us and our dog were unexpected and amazing. Only thing we would recommend is to maybe do a welcome pack but not having one didnt impact our stay. Would love to come and stay again
Louise
What a fantastic property in a great location! Weve just got back from an amazing weekend at Kerry Hill its a perfect little dogfriendly property central to some picturesque nearby walks. The property is beautifully designed, very well maintained and in a lovely quiet area an ideal location for some rest and relaxation! The property itself has everything you need and the gift basket which included dog treats was such a lovely personal touch. Well definitely be back!
Amazing property in the rural surroundings, have recommended to work colleagues and friends already. Modern facilities and hot tub was amazing with countryside views! Hope we can stay again
Stephanie
We had a wonderful weeks at Kerry Hill with our two dogs. The facilities were of the highest standard, and the lodge was warm and comfortable the bed is so cosy! The hot tub is brilliant and very private. TV and WiFi connectivity was 1010. We enjoyed a quiet winter break to rest, relax and recharge. It was fantastic. We will be back!
Superb property! Bright, luxurious and sparkling clean. A real treat from start to finish! Hot tub was fabulous and house had everything needed to make the stay perfect. Surrounding area is stunningly beautiful, amazing walks within a short drive and local main stream stores as well as independents in easy reach. Looking forward to our next visit already!
Lovely place in a nice quiet village, with really friendly people. Facilities exactly as described, and loved the fact one of the owners popped over to see we had everything we needed. One area of opportunity which didnt hugely impact on us but may for other guests was the cleanliness, with some trimsledges in need of dusting and marks on cupboard doorsshower. This wouldnt stop us recommending or indeed visiting again.
Victoria
We had a 7 night stay with our 2 dogs in tow. Kerry Hill is beautifully decorated lodge, set in a great location. One of 4 on site, all very private from each other and in a small complex off a quite country road with stunning views. The garden is perfectly secure our dogs aren't small and 1 can seriously jump, but never worried about them getting out. The lodge itself was well furnished with plenty of home comforts and well stocked with quality kitchen gear for if you fancy a cook up too. Some lovely touches, welcome basket with some treats for us and the pups! Towels for the hottub and bathroom, washing up stuff, dishwasher tabs, washing tabs all provided. Met the owner a couple of times, very friendly and happy to give recommendations nearby. Out and about we did both Elan Lakes and Devil's Bridge both are amazing. But the lake down in Llandrindod is beautiful and very close too. Didn't head to the local pub, but sussed it out in case we did, just short of a mile away and only a very short part of that is without pavements, so easily walkable. We had an amazing time, perfect recharge before Christmas, will hopefully be back!
Bethany
Brilliant weeks stay! Very clean, very friendly, loved the hot tub and the added extras we got given dog enjoyed the treats I would 100 recommend anyone booking a holiday here! Will definitely be back in the future, thanks for an amazing stay
Couldn't recommend Kerry Hill at The Sheepfold enough. the lodge was excellent and the area surrounding was perfect for us and the dog. We will be returning!
Harley
Probably the best holiday property weve ever stayed in! The location was amazing, the furniture was actually comfortable and the garden was secure and large for our two pugs. Loved our stay. Would highly recommend for a long or short stay. Lots of places in Llandrindod Wells 5 mins away to eat in and takeaway.
Lesley
Kerry Hill was far more than we expected. It was so comfortable and immaculate in all its decor. There was everything you needed and more. There was so many little touches that made it unique like the welcome basket for us and our dog Bertie. The only thing we would have liked was a canopy over the front. The weather was horrendous whilst we were there and we have a dog who doesn't like going out in the rain. This would have helped. If the weather had been good there would not have been a need. The owners were very friendly and made our stay that much better. Would certainly go again and have already recommended to family.
The only thing that would have made our stay better was blinds in the living area, as it became like a greenhouse in the heat, which our dog struggled with. Everything else was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay.
Really enjoyable & relaxing stay, lots of beautiful places for walks nearby. The lodge was well equipped and had everything we needed. We hope to return one day in the near future.
Excellent facilities and quality standard throughout and great touch for owner to say hello on arrival and check we were happy and knew how to get hold of them if we needed anything. Some local knowledge shared aswell which helps to get settled with the dogs. I would highly recommend as a getaway retreat with stunning views and mod cons plus a great hub to visit many local areas of outstanding natural beauty.
Samantha
The property was perfect in everyway everything worked excellently. The Internet speed is really good for any gamers like my partner or even watching your Netflix. The water pressure is the one where everyone moans says its no good well not here its perfect for us. The views are amazing. Hot tub perfect. I brought my two dogs six month old pup and my ten year old chihuahua they absolutely love it. If anyone does go to llandrindod has the best ice cream at the lakes dogs will love it too. The Owners are two of the best people I ever come across so kind and caring my partner was sick they called kept check he was OK offered to drive places to get anything we needed they made our stay so pleasant words cant describe this couple thanks so much for such a wonderful time. So glad to have meet them we hope to book and come again very soon to wind down for the hustle and bustle in London with our two doggies. We will be back. Thanks Sam Nick Bella and Chance
Gorgeous property, in a beautiful setting! Took our dog and 4 month old, everything was perfect! Safe enclosed garden was perfect for the dog. Inside was clean, very nicely finished and everything you would need is provided!
Darren

Me Katie and our two dogs had the best three nights here at kerry hill beautiful area and lovely facilities. Best holiday home weve stayed in. On arrival a lovely little package was left for me and Katie as well as some treats for our dogs. Perfect 3 nights away. Definitely returning with our extended family next year
Owners were very friendly. Everything was immaculate. Only things we would like to see added are mirrors in bedroom and a little hoover. Gorgeous hot tub, fantastic safe enclosed garden for our dog. Loved it
Deanna

Michelle
The lodge was beautiful and set in a stunning location. It was well equipped with lots of little extra touches and the hot tub was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again. The only thing missing for me was a mirror in the bedroom to dry my hair in front of.
Sandesh
It was a beautiful and peaceful stay in the most gorgeous surroundings and cannot recommend the accommodation highly enough. The owners were lovely, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our pup Rio adored Sally and it was lovely to meet her. Accommodation very pet friendly. We will definitely visit again. Thank you so so much Mark,San & Rio.
Most amazing and relaxing lodge. Everything from the design of the house to the gifts left by the host was perfect. The property has been designed well and I couldnt of asked for anything more. We will be visiting again exploring the other Lodges ! Thank you
Louise
Amazing property, great location with stunning views! The lodge was immaculately clean, beautifully designed and well equipped. Lovely touch upon arrival with a welcome basket for us and our dogs, very dog friendly would definitely stay again.
Really nice property. Clean, comfortable, attractive and modern but with plenty of character lovely big wooden beams, slate roof, glass front looking out over the countryside. Perfect size for 2 people to have plenty of living space. Good quality hot tub, speedy WiFi, plenty of mains point, nice furniture and high quality of fixtures & fittings etc. Everything you could expect provided plus a few little extras. Highly recommended.
Lauren
This is an absolute gem. What an amazing week away. We were extremely lucky to find this place. Everything has been perfect down to the little touches such as a welcome basket including dog treats and a hot tub box including towels, plastic glasses and slippers. Absolutely perfect to take our 2 dogs to. The garden is well fenced in which ment we could have the door open and let them run about without the worry of them getting out. It is the best dog friendly property we have stayed in as everything has been thought about. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and the under floor heating was wonderful. The property was lovely and warm throughout our stay. The views are amazing and with the glass front to the property you can see for miles. Lovely in the morning to sit out with a coffee. The hot tub is just wonderful and the views make it really special and relaxing. The property is a lovely size for 2 people and 2 dogs. Lovely open plan property with plenty of room. The finish to the interior is 5 and has been well designed and thought out. It is also very private and quiet which makes it perfect. We couldn't thank you enough for such a wonderful and memorable stay. Meeting the owners was lovely and an extra special touch. We are about to book again for next year and we cannot wait. The property is a credit to the owners and we look forward to our next stay. Thankyou soo much.
