Property exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Clean and well kitted out. We were 2 couples & 2 dogs. Just returned from an amazing break at the barn, fabulous rural location, stunning views, totally dog friendly, comfortable and cosy, but plenty of room for 4 humans, 2 mountain dogs and a spaniel. Would definitely recommend

We had the loveliest stay at madocs barn- we actually had a little mini moon here after our wedding and it couldnt have been more perfect! It was wonderful to switch off in the warm little cottage with the most amazing view of the Welsh hills! We loved that there were a great selection of DVDs to watch (rather than mindlessly scrolling through streRead moreaming channels) or reading our books next to the fire (which had ample amount of wood and fire lighters!) Just perfect in every way! Thankyou Hide

Perfect for Two couples as the rooms are at opposite ends of the property with your own bathroom/ensuite. We had three dogs with us and the loved the place. Two garden areas, one with a tall wall around, perfect for our foxhound x who loves to jump fences. Log burner was lovely in the evenings. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.
Jill
A super dog friendly cottage. Spacious enough for my 3 large dogs. Great views. The 2 gardens were totally enclosed, although sheep do wander past 1 of the gardens and are visible, so I did keep an eye on my GSD when in that garden. The host is lovely but unobtrusive. An amazing cottage in an amazing position. We really enjoyed the hot tub and watching Red Kites soaring above us. The walled garden was great for the dogs, we were a bit worried about our small dogs trying to get out of the fenced side to get to the sheep but we loved the early morning sheep 'traffic jam' as they passed the cottage. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Beautiful countryside, beautiful barn conversion and truly lovely owner. 10 out of 10.

Superb accommodation - functionality with style. Works as a base for exploring the surrounding area or simply as a place to spend time. It was a pleasure to return to at the end of each day - quiet, relaxing, and stress-free. The relative remoteness is a plus when it comes with such scenery.
Mark
A perfect place to slow down, recharge, and be. A sanctuary where the only sounds are of birds and sheep.

Beautiful barn in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful area. Great for dog walking and the secure Christmas tree field is a bonus for energetic dogs. We walked into beguildy several times and had lunch in the garden at the pub which we would highly recommend. Moira the owner was very welcoming and unobtrusive, we had a lovely time at madocs barn.

Lovely with everything you need. Comfy beds & allergy friendly duvet & pillow options or duck feather if preferred. Beautiful views which can be seen from the hot tub. Nice barn conversion adjoining the owner's property, the hot tub was great. Lots of single track roads to get there, beautifully quiet and isolated. Dogs can be off-lead in the secured Xmas tree field, sheep and lambs freely roaming elsewhere.

Loved the peace and quiet. Listening to the sheep and baby lambs in the morning and just admiring the views was perfect. Moira was lovely and informative and her home was cosy. Really lovely property, with all the things you need to hand. Hot tub was great, and lovely views across the valley. The track to the property is a little uneven but I guess thats the rural nature of the location. Parking was tricky, as right by the property means you block track. Amazing cottage, everything you can need is there. About a 15-20 minute drive to anything (which is what we wanted). Beds are really comfy and for an old cottage it is extremely warm. We had a nice relaxing few days at the Barn, the situation is lovely.. nestled in a christmas tree plantation with stunning views. Very peaceful and wonderful dark skies for stargazing. Loved the hot tub and firepit. It's a long way to the pub, we drove, as the roads are narrow and bendy. The barn is gorgeous - some furniture a little dated and the mattresses are sprung rather than memory foam. Nice log burner and under floor heating in parts. Worked well for 2 friends as we had privacy.
David
We had a great time
Jessica

Jane
The most idyllic and peaceful location with elevated position and incredible views! A wonderful week in a wonderful property. Just what we needed and more!!
Sophie
We enjoyed a wonderful getaway at this cottage. The beds are really comfy and the mezzanine bedroom was a great addition which felt more private than sharing a regular bedroom with someone! It was lovely to be surrounded by gorgeous countryside, very quiet and relaxing. Hot tub was a lot of fun and thankfully not overlooked, so felt very private.
Elizabeth
The cottage sits in a lovely position with fantastic views, its a lovely size and the underfloor heating was much appreciated by people and dogs. Sitting in the hot tub, sipping Prosecco, while looking at the stars was magical.
Stephen
The cottage is in a lovely remote location great for a weekend get away. Everything we needed was provided and we had a great stay. The views from the cottage are fantastic and the gardens are secure so our dog could spend plenty of time outside watching the sheep go by.
Jessica
Wow, what an amazing place. The area is quiet and secluded, the cottage comes equipped with a hot tub, fire pit, log burner and WiFi, which was exactly what we needed for a relaxing get away. It was just the two of us, but there is plenty of room to comfortably visit with more people. Just looking for a reason to come back!
Jacqui
We had a great stay, enhanced by lovely February weather. Everything about the barn worked really well. We were two couples and two dogs. Moira, the owner, lives next door and is super helpful and not intrusive. She leant us some walk books, and even looked after our elderly dog for a day when we were out. Highly recommend a stay here
Sarah
Lovely barn in a picturesque location, lovely and quiet. Loads of places to visit around the area and the owner Moira is lovely and very welcoming and informative.
John
We had an amazing stay at Madocs Barn. The property was stunning with amazing views of the country side. There were amazing hiking trails on our doorstep and the local pub was great to visit for drinks and food
Sarah
Just got back from a week at Madocs Barn with my husband and two dogs. The cottage was perfect, clean and cosy. We ordered a Tesco shop to arrive for our arrival between 4&5pm. The delivery arrived earlier before we had and the owner so kindly took our shopping in and put it all away for us. We were so appreciative. We purchased the All Trails App and found plenty of walks to explore. So after a long day of hiking the hot tub was very inviting. Lovely to relax and watch the stars.
Kay
We love Madocs Barn and Moria is so lovely and helpful! She left the Christmas Tree up for our stay as a request! I'm in ministry in the Church, and Christmas is a very busy time! Going to Madocs Barn was our Christmas get away after Christmas, it was a well needed retreat. Every thing we needed was at Madocs Barn and would love to return!
Chris
Absolutely stunning property, the underfloor heating is a genius edition and the interior is beautifully presented. The barn contained everything you could ever need for a stay and we couldn't have wished for more.
