Minerva House Reviews

David
We found the location a bit tricky when trying to book a taxi to the Meadowsweet, but luckily the weather was nice, so we just decided to walk. Plenty of room for everyone too.
James
The flat was incredibly clean and had all we needed. Stylishly decorated and comfy. Great spot, just a quick stroll to the charming town of Holt, loved it!
Alex
Lovely house, felt really at home after just a day there. Thanks!

Emma

Emma
The house had everything we needed and was super comfy. We loved how close it was to town and attractions. The hot tub was a real bonus. Would definitely stay again someday!
Emma
Spacious house, superb locationand the hot tub was an absolute highlight for us!
James
We really enjoyed our time at Minerva House. The place was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, perfect for our family trip with three generations and the dog. The location is ideal-just a 20-minute stroll into Holt, where there are plenty of charming shops, pubsand cafes. We also loved the nearby Holt Lowes and Nature Reserve, great for dog walks, with a fantastic play area and sculpture trail. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!
Emma
It's not a cottage, but a spacious Georgian house. We loved the big downstairs area, including a cosy snug, a handy downstairs looand a utility room. Despite being on a growing housing estate, it’s close to the town and places like Blakeney, Salthouseand Cley. The house is really well stocked, with a great Kitchen Aid coffee machine and plenty of crockery and cutlery, which made cooking so much easier. Definitely a lovely place to stay!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay! The house is in a great spot for walks and not far from the coast. The kitchen had all we needed, which was handy. Just a heads-up, there are only two showersand the bathroom one’s handheld without a screen. Also, dogs can’t go on furniture or upstairs, but overall, it was lovely!
Emma
We stayed at this lovely place on a new estateand honestly, it was perfect for our family. The house was super clean and cosy, especially when the weather turned a bit chilly - kept everyone warm and comfortable, including the older folks. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was a big plus. The enclosed garden was peaceful and great for relaxing. Plus, being right next to the country park made dog walks easyand Holt’s a charming little town just down the road. Would definitely recommend!
Emily
We had a lovely stay at this place. The house is beautifully maintained and really feels homely, with everything you could need. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into making it comfortable. The only thing we missed was extra hand towels for guests; there were just towels for hand washing in the bathrooms. Apart from that small thing, we'd definitely stay again and recommend it to others. Really enjoyed our time here!
James
Honestly, this place is a gem. It’s super cosy, really well kitted outand perfect for exploring the area. We were a bit worried about the proximity to a busy road, but surprisingly, there was no traffic noise at all, even with the windows open. The estate’s location also gave us a good sense of privacy. We did quite a bit of self-catering and found everything we needed. Plus, it’s really dog-friendly with a secure garden and a lovely grassy patch to throw the ball around. Definitely recommend!
George
We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious, modern home with all the amenities we needed. The hot tub was a lovely bonusand the location was perfect for exploring nearby beaches and attractions.

We had a lovely stay! The house was super spacious and perfect for celebrating my husband's 60th with the kids and grandson. The hot tub was a highlightand the kitchen had everything we needed. The park nearby was great for our little one!
Emma
Beautiful house, very well stocked and totally lovely! Quite impressed.
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is spotless, modernand well-stocked - everything we needed. The beds were super comfyand the hot tub in the private garden was a real highlight. Sadly, the property sits near a busy work site, so early mornings with noise from machinery weren’t ideal. There’s plenty to explore nearby, like National Trust spots, heritage railwaysand boat trips. Holt’s just a 20-minute walk and is such a charming town with lovely shops and cafes. Would stay again!
Emma Carter
The house was stunning, really spacious and well-furnished. It was spotless and super comfy. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially at Christmas. Loved it!
Emma Clarke
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was super easy to findand the location was spot on. It had everything we needed, from loads of crockery to comfy sofas. The hot tub was definitely a highlight after busy days. Plenty of room for all 8 of us to eat together and chill in the living room. The snug was perfect for those who wanted a little quiet time. Overall, a lovely place for a getaway!
Emma Roberts
Minerva House really feels like a home away from home. The location in Holt is charmingand we loved exploring the town. The hot tub was a highlight-used it daily! The house is beautifully equipped with modern luxuries that made our stay super comfortable. It suited all three generations perfectly, which was great. We also recommend the Folly Tea Rooms-they're lovely! Thanks so much for having us, it was a wonderful trip in a stunning place.

Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 3 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 4 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 10 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 13 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 19 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 24 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
