Lowburn Cottage is situated in a quiet location on the edge of Leavening. It is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. A special treat is the wood fired hut tub in the beautifully maintained garden. These gardens are pet friendly, both front and back as they are fully enclosed. There are TVs in every room and a pool table to used in the game s room area. In each bathroom there are luxurious toiletries and soft, fluffy white towels. Lowburn is a lovely place to stay -I recommend it to you!

Wonderful cottage. Great standard, well equipped. Fridge was massive! Everything had been thought of. Secure garden, great for our dogs (as they can jump hedges) but no chance they could escape. Lots of space inside the property, could be together or apart in the cottage. Very comfy beds, but thin curtains- just take an eye mask! A very quiet locat ion and easy to walk to local pub- the jolly farmer. Where the food & service there was great. Would 100% recommend the pub too.

Low Burn Cottage was everything we wanted as a family of seven looking to relax in the beautiful area of North Yorkshire. The pool table and the hot tub kept the kids happy and the pub (The Jolly Farmer) just up the road kept the adults happy with delicious food and a good pint. As mentioned in other reviews the welcome hamper was a great touch wit h bacon and other groceries which was very much appreciated and especially by our 4 dogs who were all left a treats bag.

There is much to recommend Lowburn Cottage. The property is spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. There are a few surprise added extras - towelling robes and slippers which are handy when making use of the hot tub. Richard was extremely helpful both before (heating the water in the hot tub for our arrival) and during our visit and provided a most generous welcome hamper. Leavening was peaceful and the local pub was excellent too. Good food with efficient, friendly service.
Carol
A wonderful week in a beautiful part of the world. Our party of 7 enjoyed ample space and facilities, the hot tub used nearly every day, rain or shine, and the pool table provided much entertainment. Absolute 5 star+, everything you could want in the cottage and grounds for the family and dogs. Hottub and games room were well used, Wi-Fi was perfect but no phone signal. Two dogs had plenty of room to run due to the heatwave only had early morning walks. Mallyan Spout was a nice half day out with a pint after and a lovely drive back across North York Moors. Cottage in within a short drive to Malton for supermarkets. Host Richard always on hand for questions and support. Will stay again
Carol
This is a wonderful cottage. From the start of your visit you are given a lovely welcome - the basket of local goodies/fresh flowers were a real treat, as were the local made toiletries (looking online to order). The cottage has plenty of room for everyone to be together and to have their own space, pool room and hot tub were a big hit with our fam ily. Could not have asked for a better equiped kitchen - a massive fridge/freezer, big cooker and lots of dishes to feed a large group.
Wendy
A beautiful large cottage and very well equipped. Everything had been thought of and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay from croquet on the lawn to dining out nearly every evening in the lovely garden.

The cottage itself was very nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. The pool table and hot tub were a great hit. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending the cottage to family and friends.
Laura
Definitely recommended. LowBurn is a beautiful property located in a lovely village. It was ideal for our group of 4 couples and we spent plenty of time in the games room, hot tub and socialising in the large kitchen. Very clean, beautiful interior and the added touch of a gift basket with local produce was much appreciated. Take a pair of binocula rs for the evening as its so dark you can see the milky way above you. A taxi to York is 32 each way. Thank you to the owners once more
