The Palms Reviews

Mark
Really great stay, in a lovely location, with some great touches like scones etc on arrival. The hot tub was a spot of luxury at the end of a day's walking, and the bed was nice and comfortable. Julie and Mike are both very helpful if you need anything. As well as great walking and beaches, if you like wildlife, there's a seal colony very near to PRead moreolly Joke beach (or Porth Joke as Ordnance Survey refer to it). You can often see seals playing in the surf. Hide

It was FANTASTIC 10/10 There's not anything that we could Complain about, the owners are brilliant. Would highly recommend a visit you won't be disappointed, but leave a week for us!!!
Darron
Ideally situated for a quiet stay away from the hustle & bustle of Newquay, But accessible for visiting all the attractions that Cornwall has on offer. The hot tub is a nice addition for those who want to relax after a busy day out. The property although basic has everything needed for those who wish to eat in rather than out. The owners were alwayRead mores available but not intrusive. Our only gripe was the double bed could do with a new mattress, but didnt detract from us having a lovely stay. Hide

Had a wonderful holiday at Palms. Location perfect, dog friendly beaches very close. Spacious kitchen , nice size fridge and freezer, counter top DW which was perfectly adequate for 2 persons and a washing machine. Icing on the cake was the hot tub and sauna. Used both everyday. Access by the main bedroom which had an ensuite splash room - perfect!Read more!! Hide

Kevin
The owners thought of everything to be fair.
Deborah
The cottage was clean, spacious and comfortable. It was well equipped and the sauna and hot tub were fabulous extras. The enclosed gardens meant that our dogs could sit out, without us worrying about them wandering off. The use of the owners field to exercise the dogs was fantastic. Although off "the beaten track" slightly, we were in easy access o f all local amenities and the roads to the rest of the county. The common (right on your doorstep) was beautiful and led to beautiful local beaches
Lisa
Lovely cottage with great facilities, the hot tub and sauna were amazing. Our French bulldog loved the walks to Polly Joke and Holywell Bay. The holiday park just over the lane also had a great dog walking area and the golf club a great place to sit, relax and have a drink and a bite to eat.
Maureen
The Palms is ideally located for trips to all sorts of places such as Trerice, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and is very close to Holywell beach. Would recommend The Smugglers Den and Lewinnick Lodge for great food and good service. The cottage is comfortable and very private. We loved the hot tub and the welcoming cream tea was much appreciated. The beds were comfortable and Julie was very welcoming and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely quiet spot, tucked away in the village of Cubert, with short walk to Holywell beach. Well equipped property, with added bonus of own hot tub and sauna. Provided bbq gave another dining option, which the kids enjoyed. Host went to the effort of showing us round the full property and was on hand when we experienced Wi-Fi issues! Neighbouring p roperty was a little noisy, but hedging meant property felt private.
Laura
A friendly welcome to great a little property set in a very quiet part of countryside out of the hustle & bustle of Newquay (15 mins drive). There are two properties quite close to each other, with shared drive and access, but they are securely and privately separated, no problems experienced. Great facilities (washing machine was useful), and idea l to sleep a family of 4 (we were 2 adults & 1 toddler, and no dog). Hot tub was clean, refreshing and nicely lit, after a hot day on the local beach.
Lucy
We had a lovely stay at The Palms. Really cute place, hot tub and sauna gave the holiday that added luxury feel. Really quiet and fantastic location. Lovely hosts! We will visit again, thank you

The lovely Julie greeted us & showed us around. All exactly as described. We had a wonderful 2 week stay Everything you needed was there and any problems Julie was only a text or call away. Lovely jacuzzi hot tub & Sauna. Great walks close by for the dogs. Would definitely stay again.
Katie
Really lovely, comfortable cottage. The location is perfect for beautiful walks, literally on the doorstep. The walk to Holywell Beach is stunning and we saw plenty of seals at Polly Joke. The bed was super comfortable and we had a wonderful time. Cant wait to return!

Great little cottage in a peaceful location. Ideal for dog walking with access to Holywell Bay Beach in about 20 minutes. Cottage has all of the basic facilities you need. Hot tub and sauna are a lovely added feature. Our host Julie was lovely and took her time to show us the place when we arrived and provided us with a welcome cream tea. Lovely pu b in the village called The Smugglers Den which takes dogs in the bar. Ideally located and only 15 minute drive to Perranporth or Newquay.
Samantha
Lovely little apartment. We had a lovely week here myself, husband and 2 children (17 & 15). It was clean and well maintained. The hot tub was brilliant with the added bonus of the sauna. The owners were friendly and helpful. The football table was another added little bonus which provided us with lots of family time and laughs. The location was ve ry peaceful, lovely to sit in the hot tub listening to the birds. Would definately stay here again.
Debbie
A delightful place to stay, close to 3 beaches and quite secluded. The other holiday property is next door, luckily we had quiet neighbours so it was peaceful. Julie was very helpful and the welcoming cream tea much enjoyed! The hot tub and sauna were a lovely way to end each day. We have a dog and found the outside space quite small but the field very handy and the Common a short walk away. We had a lovely stay, thank you
