Foxglove Cottage Reviews

Our stay was wonderful and our surroundings were beautiful. The hosts were very lovely in making us feel welcome, blessed with truly gorgeous weather as well. Thank you Julie and Andy
Jonelle
We had a wonderful time at Foxglove Cottage proximity to the river was awesome and the owners created a wonderful serene environment which we enjoyed. The hot tub with amazing views was well used too. We were treated with the appearance of deers and rabbits few times whilst watching some amazing sunsets. Julie and Andy were incredibly helpful and did everything to make our stay a delight. Julie accepted our Tesco delivery and put away fridgefreezer items as we were delayed due to traffic and getting lost! The only negative to mention is we had problems with our devices and WiFi availability but we were in such a peaceful location, it didnt matter in the end. Loved staying at the Cottage excellent central location to the Eden Project and the coast.
When we arrived we knew we'd made the right choice . The owners greeted us with such a warm welcome . The cottages is set in what I can only describe as idyllic. Views of fantastic greenery and what I'd call forest. A perfect setting you just relax instantly . The cottage is well equip with every thing you could possibly want ,no detail missed . Once settled a short walk down to the river that runs at the end of the property . The owners have put seats along the bank so relaxing to the sound of running water is just what was ordered . I have been to many self catering cottages but this by far is the best I have stayed in .
Everything about this letting was wonderful. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable and the grounds were stunning with plenty of space and wildlife. The owners were just next door and were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely week. If I was pushed for anything negative it would just be the constant road noise from the A30 but even that was muted and we got used to it and it wasnt a surprise as its easy to see on the map and it made for quick easy access to get out and about. All in all a wonderful place and would fully recommend .
Foxglove Cottage is an excellent pristine holiday home. The grounds are beautiful, with trees and lawned areas as well as roses, and yes foxgloves. Nearby, about 100 metres away, is the Rover Fowey, providing a photo opportunity. A well kept hot tub is well suited to a family of 6. The house is well equipped with showerbath and a second shower. The accomodation is flexible with twin beds capable of conversion to a zipped king or superking. Our hosts Andy and Julie were very friendly, but unobtrusive.

We had an amazing time at foxglove, Andy and Julie were great and we had no problems at all. The cottage was beautiful and the surroundings magical. The cottage was immaculately cleaned upon our arrival, and we had a great time here. We have decided that going forwards when we visit Cornwall we only want to stay here!
Christopher
Recently returned from a very pleasant week at foxglove cottage. This was our 2nd stay at foxglove having visited before in 2022. We have stayed at a large number of holiday cottages throughout the u.k but this is the first time we have returned to one and hope to return again. We found everything perfect to our needs. Would definitely recommend foxglove cottage if youre visiting Cornwall.

Andrew
A lovely cottage ideally situated with good access to all sites and towns in Cornwall.
Excellent property, Everything about it was to our tastes and wants. Unfortunately we had a stomach bug and could not enjoy everything to its fullest extent, Andy and Julie did everything they could to try and help us and make us feel welcome. We will definitely be returning minus a stomach bug sometime hopefully!
Stephen
Spotlessly clean and well provided cottage in central Cornwall, near Bodmin. The owners live on the same site and are welcoming and approachable. The Camel Trail, about 10 mins by car, is good for walks and the Flory Restaurant in Bodmin serves excellent meals. Further afield at the farm shops at St Kew and Boscastle are excellent lunches using local produce. They do get busy though.

What a fantastic stay we've just had. The cottage and surroundings were absolutely beautiful, everything was to such a high standard and we had everything we needed, we couldn't have wished for a nicer place for our first holiday as a new blended family of 6. The location is ideal and nothing is more than a 30 minute maximum drive away. Would 100 recommend and stay again. Thank you so much we had the best time. x
Debbie
We had a wonderful week staying in foxglove cottage. Andy and Julie were great hosts. The hot tub and stream were real winners with the heatwave. A fabulous stay for us Thankyou

Foxglove cottage was really beautiful. Great location surrounded by fields and wildlife. Our girls loved the garden swing. We had everything we needed and more. Very well equipped and comfortable. The hot tub was a really lovely extra and very clean and well maintained. Julie and Andy were very easily contactable if needed. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful week.
This is a great cottage and much loved by the owners . Great hosts and happy to help if needed . Welcomed and wished us a safe travels on leaving . A wonderful place to stay which is central to Cornwall . Who every stops here will have a great time. Hopefully we will stay again in the near future to chill relax and tatke in the local sites . I hope whoever stays here has the same fun as us. Five star all the way .
Amazing host what a great family!
Catherine
We ended up being 3 ladies instead of 4, as I came down with CV last minute. I was very disappointed to miss seeing my lady friends. I have just checked with the 3 ladies that went, and they LOVED it. They have said they could not fault anything. They said I must give the highest rating I can, and it would still not be enough. Thank you so much for making their stay so special. We had missed seeing each other for a long time, and now we are planning a new trip, so that I can see the girls. Thank you so very much.
Mohammad
I have been to many cottages in the UK, and this cottage was one of the bests. . The host is just amazing
Natasha
The cottage was in immaculate condition and very well equipped. The location is stunning and in a peaceful setting with lovely grounds. The whole stay was excellent and I cannot fault any part of it. Would love to stay there again!

George
We have spent a few days at the cottage and had a wonderful time! The cottage itself is beautiful, very clean and with all facilities you'd need. The owners are also lovely, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again!
Rajesh
Owners are very friendly and took care to ask and provide us what ever needed while we were there during recent storm. It's lovely property and place nestled between 2 hills with beautiful walk along river banks. Everything to enjoy for outside for nature lovers. Else sit in and relax with wood fire in living room or gottub outside property.
Everything as described, hosts are great people and very welcoming, everything was easily accessible and very peaceful when we were there at night. Gazing at the stars while relaxing in the hot tub was great, overall a beautiful place very neat with all you need, we will be back!!!
Jordan
Lovely holiday cottage in a beautiful setting. Had a great weekend away and we enjoyed everything about the cottage. The owners are very friendly and helpful also, would highly recommend!
Robert
What an amazing stay we had at foxglove cottage, the cottage had everything we needed and the extra little touches were so thoughtful. The cottage has been completed to a very high standard and was very clean, every morning Andy would come round to check on the hot tub to ensure everything was safe to use. Although the weather was cold and wet we used the hot tub everyday. Andy and Julie were amazing, very helpful and friendly and they have created the perfect getaway. We would love to come back soon and stay here again.
William
Andy and Julie have provided amazing accommodation, nothing has been to much trouble. The accommodation is immaculately presented and represents excellent value for money. Foxglove is perfect for getting away from it all and enjoying the peace and quiet. The log burner is amazing for the cosy nights in.
Andrew
This was a great little cottage, with lots of nice little touches like milk in the fridge and teacoffee and the fireplace being lit, ready for when we got there. The owners are great and very helpful. We had a great stay!
Property and hosts combined were amazing. Greeted us as we arrived and looked after the hot tub every morning for daily use whilst staying at the Foxglove Cottage. Could not have asked for a better property and location for our stay. Andy and Julie added the extra special touch to our stay and would happily book again with themselves.
Constance
The cottage perfectly suited our family of myself, my daughter, soninlaw and 2 grandchildren. The children loved the big garden with swings and trampoline which the owner generously shared with us, and especially the hot tub which they used every day and often twice a day! The cottage is newly renovated and beautifully furnished, nothing missing for our convenience and comfort, except a dryer, and when we mentioned it, the owners produced a drying rack within hours and an actual dryer in a building close by Wonderful, helpful, friendly hosts! Also close to Port Isaac, scene of the TV show Doc Martin, the Eden Project 40 minutes and many beautiful walks.
Andy & Julie were there to meet us when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. The cottage was immaculate and renovated tastefully, creating a cosy atmosphere. We lit the log burner twice, it was an added bonus. Set in beautiful surroundings and within easy travelling distance of both coasts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
Christopher
Hosts were always ready to help without being intrusive. Property immaculate. Quiet and idyllic location with wildlife and river nearby. Close enough to local facilities for convenience. Recommended
We did find it difficult to find the cottage due to signage being small.
We enjoyed the perfect family holiday staying at Foxglove Cottage. The accommodation is an immaculate renovation, set in beautiful gardens with the space for our four boys to run, play and explore. It's an idyllic spot, surrounded by woodland and a shallow river running along the back of the property perfect for paddling. It's also a great location from which to explore the rest of Cornwall. Equidistant from both the northern and southern Cornish coastlines, we made very easy day trips to Padstow, Polzeath and Tintagel in the north and Porthleven in the south. Andy and Julie were perfect hosts, hugely welcoming, we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived and they were on hand for anything we needed. Their hospitality was a big part of making our whole trip such a great experience. We could not recommend this holiday more highly, we had a wonderful two weeks and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!
Joanne
We returned from foxglove cottage yesterday and we had a lovely week staying here. The cottage is fabulous and has everything you need and more to have a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The cottage is in a beautiful spot and is surrounded by large gardens where we enjoyed the sun and the kids played games. The outside furniture is in a perfect spot to catch the evening sun. The cottage itself is perfect. Newly decorated and the photos on the site do not do it justice and we were amazed when we arrived to see how beautiful it actually is. I would definitely recommend staying here. The cottage is situated in a great location and has supermarkets nearby and not far from many places to visit. The owners are on hand if you need them too and were really welcoming. We did not need anything when we were there but I know they would have been happy to help if we had needed them. Thank you for a wonderful week. We would love to go back !!!
