Tor Lodge Reviews

William
A very well equipped chalet with a good location. My only quibble was that the hot tub outside the house was not not particularly secluded.
Peter
Having stayed in Tor Lodge we found a distinct lack of privacy as it faced directly on to the access road to the other lodges. The site map on the website is rather misleading as to the lodge's position. Due to it's position under several trees there was a lack of direct sunlight which left the lodge a bit gloomy and lacking warmth without heating.
Stephen
Lovely place well equipped

Great lodge. Quiet & relaxing. Well equipped kitchen. Parking outside lodge. Owners & staff on hand if needed. Clean & comfortable. Only a few mins into Okehampton. & a few mins from A30.

Tor Lodge is a lovely, comfortable getaway from the hustle and bustle of life in a peaceful setting, where there's a lovely family of ducks who take a constitutional past the lodges when they're tired of swimming in the pond. The park is situated behind Betty Cottles Inn which serves a lovely varied menu when you want a break from cooking The lodge also has a relaxing hot tub which we only used once due to it raining just about every day! It's July! It's Summer! Where's the sun?!
Amanda
Tor lodge was beautiful. Spotless. (Although there were lots of crumbs under sofa cushions ) I was very impressed to see mattress and pillow protectors on the beds. Really tastefully decorated. Felt very homely. Lots of cooking utensils. Towels were very thick and soft. Luxurious. The hot tub was a real treat. Decking area and new table and chairs were comfortable all be it in the shade we did feel like we were far away from everything. Having to take the car everyday.
Debra
Lovely place to stay for peace and quiet . Local pub wasnt closed and not due to open for a few weeks which was a bit of a disappointment as it was in close proximity to the lodge . We had to drive to find somewhere to eat
Steven
Excellent, well equipped comfy chalet in excellent location close to A30
Laima
Had a lovely stay, lovely hot tub. Cottage was well equipped. Great location, within easy drive to most beautiful visitor attractions. Whoever pub was shut, also bbq was not checked for a long time , as it was mouldy and full of cobwebs, we could not use it. Apart from that would definitely recommend and would come back.
Laura
A great place for a few days holiday. Brilliant location with lots to do near by. The best part for us was the hot tub and it was a really pleasant surprise that it was up to maximum temperature for our arrival so we could jump straight in.
Annette
Excellent. Clean and tidy. Well equipped kitchen for home cooking. Was like a home from home experience. Dog friendly which was the icing on the cake.
Roger
Lovely lodge in a wonderful location. Peaceful, quiet and definitely a place to relax.
Natalie
Absolutely lovely lodge, very well equipped and so comfy and cosy. The hot tub was clean and very luxurious. Beds comfy, plenty of storage in bedrooms. It was amazing to have a smart TV in the bedroom as well as the living area. Wifi excellent. We would definitely stay here again.
Helen
Lovely peaceful park, very lovely owner and the lady that checked us in was very friendly. Good location to visit attractions around Dartmoor. Lodge was clean and comfortable
Elaine
Lovely clean lodge, has everything you need.
Anita
Throughly enjoyed our family trip, the lodge we stayed in was set amongst the trees, a little chilly but welcomed with the warmer weather, the hot tub isn't as excluded or private but still acessable and was welcomed to take a chilled evening, the location with a small child meant we had to branch out to find entertaining activities. I would visit again but this time making note about the tree sap and taking something to protect the car.
Julian
Nice setting in the trees but Tor lodge doesn't get any sun so not much use of decking furniture. Leaves etc from the trees is also a problem on the decking when going to and from the hot tub into the lodge. The lodge was comfortable and clean. Not well stocked with such things as draught beer and cocktail ingredient
Richard
Lovely little lodge, just what we needed. Kitchen has everything you would need. Bonus having a dishwasher and washing machine! Lodge is situated in an ideal spot for getting around to the attractions we wanted. Even though you are close to the main road, the traffic noise is minimal. Oh and the kids loved the hot tub, even in the rain!!
Monika
We had a great time surrounded by nature. Beautiful place and peaceful. Nice house, in the evenings relaxing in the hot tub. I recommend!
Jane
Really enjoyed our stay here lovely location and quiet site Lovely hot tub Within easy reach of main roads and the moor
