Tor Lodge Reviews

James
The chalet was really well kitted out and in a great spot. My only gripe was the hot tub outside wasn’t very private, which was a bit of a let down.
John
We stayed at Tor Lodge and honestly, privacy was pretty much non-existent since it faces right onto the access road. The site map on the website isn’t very clear about where the lodge actually is. Plus, being under the trees meant no direct sunlight, so the place felt quite gloomy and cold without heating. Not what we expected at all!
Mark
Great vibe, comfy and clean
Emma
The lodge was lovely - super peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The kitchen had everything we neededand parking was easy right outside. Owners and staff were really helpful if we needed anything. Just a few mins to Okehampton and A30, so ideal!
Mark
The lodge was spotless and well-furnished, making our stay really comfy. The site was beautifully maintainedand it’s clear the owners put a lot of effort into keeping everything top-notch. Great work!

We had a lovely time at Tor Lodge! The place was spotless, cosyand well looked after. The peaceful setting made it perfect for relaxingand the hot tub was just what we needed after exploring Dartmoor. Okehampton’s local shops were handy too. We’re already planning to come back in a few months-can’t wait to return!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay at this cosy lodge. Perfect spot for exploring the local area. The deck with a gate was a lifesaver for our dog - he loved having his own little outdoor space. Such a peaceful place, we’d definitely come back!
Alex
The place is stunningand the staff really respect your privacy, but they’re also super helpful if you need anything. Such a peaceful escape - we’ll definitely be returning soon!
Emma
We loved staying here! It’s perfect for exploring Dartmoor, just a mile away from some stunning spots. The lodge was really comfy and spacious, with everything we needed, including a teapot-bonus points there! Okehampton kept us busy for ages too. Honestly, it’s a great base for a relaxing break. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to see this part of the country.
Emma
The space was lovely, really well set up for comfort.
Emma
Really enjoyed the break, but still waiting on a reply about my car damage.
Emma
We truly enjoyed our stay! The location was spot onand the lodge felt so roomy and comfortable. It had everything we needed - from cooking gear to towels and soaps. Having the gated deck was a lifesaver for our dogand we used the hot tub every evening, which was so relaxing. The info provided made exploring easyand it’s definitely worth coming back. We’re already planning our next visit!

Lovely peaceful spot, perfect for walks with dogs.
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay, the place had all we needed and the hot tub was a highlight!
Sarah
The lodge was lovely, with top-notch furniture and a well-equipped kitchen, including a washing machine and dishwasher-such a bonus! The en-suite and separate bathroom made things so much easier when we were full house. Comfortable beds and good quality bedding too!
Emma
Tor Lodge was beautiful and spotless! (Though there were quite a few crumbs under the sofa cushions.) We were really impressed to see mattress and pillow protectors on the beds. It’s really tastefully decorated and felt very homely. There were lots of cooking utensils too. The towels were super thick and soft, just luxurious. The hot tub was such a treat! The decking area and new table and chairs were comfy, even if they were in the shade. We did feel a bit far away from everything, having to take the car every day.
Sophie
We had a great stay! The place was clean and tidyand the kitchen was well equipped for cooking at home. It really felt like home from homeand the fact that it was dog friendly was just the icing on the cake.
Gareth
What a lovely lodge in a fantastic location! It's so peaceful and quiet, definitely the perfect spot to unwind.
Clara
We thoroughly enjoyed our family trip! The lodge we stayed in was nestled amongst the trees, which was a bit chilly but nice once the warmer weather kicked in. The hot tub isn't super private but still accessibleand we appreciated it for a relaxing evening. With a small child, we had to venture out to find entertaining activities. We'd definitely visit again, but this time we’ll remember to be cautious about the tree sap and bring something to protect the car.
Oliver
We loved the nice setting in the trees, but Tor lodge doesn't get any sun, so the decking furniture wasn't much use. There were leaves from the trees, which made it tricky when going to and from the hot tub into the lodge. That said, the lodge itself was comfortable and clean. Just wish it was better stocked with things like draught beer and cocktail ingredients!
