Ruggaton Cottage Reviews

Jo
Excellent value for money in a lovely setting. Close to all the best of North Devon. The pool is still fantastic, the beds comfy and the towels fluffy. The cottage was always warm and cosy.
Tom
Superb location and cottage - the indoor pool and games room are great when the weather is bad.
Sarah
Lovely stay in buttercup cottage! Cottage was really well equipped with everything we would need, with a lovely welcome pack. The pool and games room kept our daughter amused.
Kate
Cosy cottage in a beautiful part of Devon. Lovely warm swimming pool that the kids loved plus the air hockey in the games room. Had lovely days out to woolacombe, cycling on the Tarka trail, visiting Combe Martin wildlife and dinosaur park and Arlington court. Plenty to do within a 30 minute drive
Geoffrey
A very comfortable cottage. Extremely clean with all the equipment we required. The swimming pool was lovely and warm as was the jacuzzi . We were lucky to have it to ourselves when it opened in the morning. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Although the weather was very wet at times it was a convenient place to be. It is best to approach it from the South as recommended on travel instructions as this is the best way. We would not hesitate to return again at this time of the year.
David
Lovely cottage with plenty for the kids to enjoy. The pool was clean, well maintained and warm, the children showed no signs of shivering even after a prolonged dip. Well located for day trips to the beach and other local attractions.
Kimberly
What a gorgeous location! Our days with kiddos were perfect - breakfast, pool, lunch and beach in Ilfracombe or Woolacombe, pool, dinner! With stops to see the pony and donkeys or play in the games room along the way. Hot tub and sauna were a great bonus for us parents, too.
Laura
Lovely cottage, lovely facilities. Lots of little extras which make it feel really special. We had a fantastic time and will be going back.
Sue
Really fabulous location and setting. Very sad to leave the tranquility of the space and freedom for us and our dog. Lots to do in the area too but must admit to daily walks in the field provided and beaches were all we needed to rest and recuperate. Our property was lovely and warm and gave us room to have our own space. Pool and sauna much apprec iated after walks. Charlotte is a great host on site and there should you need any assistance.
Hannah
We had a lovely stay, thank you. We loved the card and wine on arrival. The cottage is well fitted out and is in a great location being both rural and within easy reach of the things we wanted to visit. We enjoyed meeting the pony, donkeys and dog! The stair gate and high chair made things easy with our baby. We would love to visit again.
Victoria
Great cottage in great location, you want for nothing!! We look forward to returning next year!
Stacey
Amazing cottage in a great location. Easy access to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe beaches. The pool and games room were such a great addition and I would definitely recommend these cottages!
Tom
Great facilities (games room and pool) for children and ideally placed for getting to lots of different beaches and attractions in North Devon.
Donna
Really enjoyed our stay in Ruggaton (Buttercup) Cottage. The cottage was very comfortable particularly the beds. The facilities on site are great and the kids loved the pool and games room and generally they had it to themselves. The location is perfect as lovely and quiet but only 15-30 minutes to explore all the sights of North Devon. Would defin itely recommend.
Kezia
Really lovely place, great facilities and the view from the property was lovely. Was quite rural but only 15 mins to Ilfracombe nearest town. Had the swimming pool to ourself pretty much for the entire visit which was great.
Hannah
Spotlessly clean, really comfy living space. It has everything you could possibly need. We loved staying here.
Claire
We had a fantastic holiday even during storm Eunice. The power went on our last day but we were provided heaters for comfort. The owner Charlotte was so helpful and we will definitely go back, this was our second visit and we love stopping here. The pool was clean, the cottage clean and a lovely welcome pack and wine on arrival! 5
James
