The cottage was spacious, well equipped and thoughtfully laid out. It is in a stunning location, remote enough to enjoy the countryside views but still possible to walk to Symondsbury in about 30 minutes and / or a 5 minute drive into Bridport. It was a pleasant surprise the see brand new washing machine, tumble dryer and table tennis table. The be ds deserve a special mention as they were excellent, very large and very comfortable. Overall an excellent cottage for a large family holiday.

This cottage is absolutely beautiful, in totally gorgeous surroundings. The house is furnished beautifully and was very warm on a cold January weekend. The hot tub was warm and ready to jump in... But quite hard to work out how to turn it up, and unfortunately there was a problem with the water pressure which meant sometimes we couldn't shower, flu sh the toilet or wash hands. This is apparently due to the cottage being in a rural area and being fed by a spring which affects the water pressure.

From goats and ponies to alpacas and pot bellied pigs this attraction is excellent value for money. You can feel free to explore the grounds too which are especially lovely on sunny days. You will see majestic floral displays, stone terraces, a temple and even a lake.

Bicton Park and Gardens - EX9 7BJ

This year round attraction has been described as Devon's most magnificent historic gardens. Located in the Otter Valley area of East Devon you can enjoy a fun day out in a picturesque setting. Highlights include historic Palm house, containing some of the world’s most endangered species and Bicton Woodland Railway - which takes you on a 25 minute journey through the lovely grounds. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.
